If I get a shark fin gsm/fm/gps car antenna, is there a phone holder for the diamond which will allow the the gps antenna to be quickly and easily attached to it in the car?

Does any know of a passive holder for XDA II ?
i.e. a holder with ONLY connection to an external antenna. This is the only thing I need to use it as a car kit (with speakerphone mode on)

Thought it might have been somebody OEM'ing the original o2 accesory but when I look on the o2 site there is no integrated cradle car kit listed!
I'm looking for a kit that will:-
Mute the standard stereo for calls
Allow audio from the XDA2 so I can use it as a car stereo
Charge the XDA2
Allow connection to a Tom-Tom nav unit.
This item would appear to do the business. However I suspect it may be a kit avialable somewhere else and have been discussed here already.
Any hints/comments appreciated.

There's this stuff below listed for XDA2 which one do you mean.
Looks like bluetooth + GPS stuff and the like to me. My focus is on audio from wired connectivity but with an option for GPS. Bluetooth isn't a factor for me. Did you mean one of the below? If you mean somewhere else can you supply a URL? Thanks. Vent mount is no good either.

Does Trinity have a GPS Socket?
Funny, I thought that socket was for the GSM aerial. Does anyone know whether that is in fact a combined GPS and GSM socket? I have a couple of aerials at home (PDA-n/HTC3300 and std mcx). I will see if either of those fits because I hadn't thought to try them. Of note is the fact that the HTC 3300 has two separate sockets, one for GSM one for GPS.
I think that the socket is a GSM connection. It is identical to the GSM socket on the Artemis (Dopod 800W) I have. The GPS aerial I have for the Artemis will not fit the Trinity socket.
Having said that, I have ordered one. Even if it doesn't help with the GPS, it may help with the GSM reception in some marginal areas I visit. I will report back when it arrives, which they claim will be about 10 days.
It's a standart GSM antenna. Check the picture out. It's connected to Hermes!!!!
It is a GSM connector on the back of the Trinity.
I bought the aerial. As I expected, it did nothing for the GPS strength, but it did slightly improve the Phone signal so it was probably worth it.
I've just saw a video about gps fix on n97.
There one connected a wire to the gps antenna of his n97 and had much better accuracy.
I wanted to experiment with my touch pro, but could not find out where is the antenna of the gps receiver..
Does anybody know where the antenna is?

Does any of you knows if the MTCD head-units provide 12v power over the FM antenna connector?
Most cars antennas these days require power either over the coaxial cable or separately.
My original multimedia system in the car had times better reception than my MTCD unit.
BTW my car is a Great Wall Hover H6 (also known as Haval H6) a Chinese SUV.

Hi There,
My MTCD (GS) unit has a separate "ANT" wire which is used to power the antenna, the antenna connector itself is not powered and I don't believe any of them are.

I remember the ANT wire and supposedly it is connected but still the reception is bad.
Most VAG cars for instance, after 1997 are using powered antennas and the stock radios are providing power to the antenna trough the antenna cable itself. There are many adapters for aftermarket radios like THIS one for instance.
I'm not sure from what car the Chinese copied the antenna assembly... the entire Dashboard looks very similar to a Honda CRV but who knows...

The adaptor you linked to is similar to what I use for my DAB+ however, my FM reception was fine before I was using that. I have the adaptor so that I can pick up DAB+ signal via my normal non-powered antenna.
Where have you connected the "ANT" wire?

To be fair I don't remember, but I do remember something called antenna power (or something similar). I'll be upgrading my PX3 board to PX5 soon so I'll double check everything again.

It's a separate wire, labeled many times ant_power or ant.. The cable-color is blue. It provides +12 at power on.
I have the same problem. I tried an adapter but no results.
If someone find a solution, it could be nice.
