I am using quite a while the Garmin Mobile XT application for navigating through towns and more... since today I am always getting following error message when trying to start the application "...Data type misalignment at program address 0x03F966C8 in background thread NULL (Main InitInstance)..."
Any ideas, what is the root cause and how to fix this problem??
I am using the application with a HTC Touch Cruise (WM6), the error occured at following version for Garmin Mobile XT: 4.20.50w and 4.20.30w
thanks a lot...

I have tryed this solution from pcgeeks and I still got same error. What is the problem?

Did you follow all of the steps exactly as written?? Did you truly clear all of your SMS and MMS messages???

solution
I got the same error on my HTC Touch Diamond and all i did was to delete the MMS's in my inbox. This solved the problem

MMS is the problem
Hi, I'm quite new here.
Had the same problem. Tried to remove newly installed programs (thought of interferring dlls), resets, resored backups... No chance.
And finally "Ricky318i" is right: I also just deletet all MMS on my Xperia.
That just solved the problem.
Does anybody know why?

gladius

I installed Garmin XT 4.20.50 right after a rom flash. Problems occurred right after I made a restore of my SMS/MMS's with PimBackup. Got this "misalignment" fault.
Solved the problem by just deleting all my MMS's only (search in ALL folders), meaning you can keep all SMS's, and restart the phone. Now Garmin works perfectly again!
However, this is not a permanent solution and just shifting shape of the problem, but what I do is just deleting the MMS's after receiving them and Garmin works again.
Strange.....

SPB Pocket Plus and intelipad

Hi everyone
i am using an XDA2 that has been upgraded to WM2003SE. However, the programs seem to clash. Especially SPB Pocket Plus and intellipad. Anyone has a solution to this? Upgrading to Pocket Plus 2.5 didn't help a bit.
thanks.
Thats unusual. Ive been running wm03se for 2 weeks now w/ PocketPlus 2.0 and Intellipad v.1 build 17286 and they all run harmoniously. They even co-exist w/ Darek's nifty today plugin. What ROM version are you using?
My ROM version are the same as yours
everytime i select intelipad when replying text msgs, it goes to the default Block recognizer.
Also, my msgs are auto erased everytime i switched from "Deleted Items" to "Inbox" and I can't view any msgs in "Deleted Items", "Sent Items" and "Drafts"
any one can enlighten me?
FYI only, not sure you guys encounter this problem.
Using WM2003SE, loaded SPB Pocket Plus.
Everytime, when i send an SMS, the other party will receive 2 same message from me.
To test out, i unistall it, and the other party on receive 1 message from me.
from that day onwards, i never use SPB anymore.
i suspected is the SPB Pocket Plus issue, cause before i upgraded to WM2003SE, i am using my default O2 ROM, and it also has the duplicate SMS issue.
That why, i upgraded to WM2003SE, but still did not solve my problem.
I dont think is Telco problem, cause my colleague dont have such problem with normal phone.

You need to exclude the tmail.exe on close feature, this will fix the issue.
pardon me, where and how to fix it.
tap and hold the right upper part/ options/ close button/ feature options/ exceptions/ add/ browse/ windows/ select tmail.exe
This will fix the problem
thanks for the info
Nice one, but still that does not fix the original problem mentioned on the top of this thread...
Pocket Plus and Intellipad (Phonepad) incompatibility...
I would say that it's a resource conflict of some kind, because they sometimes can work together but sometimes they simply won't cooperate....
Or is it something similar than with the SMS thing? Perhaps Pocket Plus is shutting down the Intellipad resouces and thus causing this problem?
Is there a way to exclude Intellipad from Pocket Plus?
Just an idea....

Rayan
i've been using wmse together with spb pocket plus on my mini for about 2 weeks now and I haven't encountered those problems..

It appears that Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 is the one causing problems with Intellipad (Phonepad).
I have almost a week since I disabled VC and I have not had any problems with Intellipad ever since.
If I'm on the road and need Voice Command I just press the hardware button assigned to VC and after a few seconds it's loaded back and ready to rumble.

I'm having conflicts with spb pocket plus and wm2003 se. My XDA 2 locks up quite often when I use the two together. As soon as I unload spb pocket plus things clear up so clearly there is an issue there.

Messaging error

Hi, after the devicestart I get the following message:
Code:
Message undeliverable. You
must first subscribe to the
text messaging feature through your
service provider.
Official is it a MDA Vario IV but I use ROMeOS 1.90.2 and also a newer Radio Rom.
The error starts a few days ago without any changes. SMS, MMS, Email still works. When I check the message the inbox open.
I haven't got a clue!
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? This issue just started on my phone a few days ago, after I returned to the USA.
No! I did a Hardreset.
Did the hardreset solve the problem? If so maybe there is a registry setting corrupted. Apparently this is a well documented issue as I've seen posts on other device sections on XDA. Most responded that the issue seems to be on the T-Mobile network. I'm on also, so I bet it is their problem somehow.
I just loaded the latest official HTC ROM and Radio, bewfore this issue arose. That was a ***** to reload and re-tweak everything, so a hard reset is out of the question. Weird thing is I can send to most numbers I have tried. I tried several test text messages and there is only one number, giving this error message so far, but I am guessing there will be others.
The hardreset fix it but I can't tell you more about that. Meanwhile I have the MDA Vario V. I asked the t-mobile hotline but they couldn't help me.
I've found a lot of posts about this problem. it seems to cover a wide range of devices from Touch Pro, to Treo to Vario. I would guess that it is not device related. Most of the devices effected seem to be running on the T-Mobile network, but not all.
Anyway, if anyone isolates this bug to a registry entry, please post.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Touch Pro Messaging Problem

I have a TP still running the stock ROM (with various fixes for GPS and Voip) which all seemed to be working OK until a few days ago the messaging app just stopped working ie: unable to open the app to an email acc or to view sms's...not receiving sms's (or at least no notification).
Running a task manger I can see poutlook.exe is running and i have tried running tmail.exe in the windows folder thro file explorer but it doesnt seem to run.
Does anyone have any sugesstions (other than a hard reset or flashing a new ROM) on what else I can try to resolve this problem? as I would like to fix the problem without losing any messages if possible
Found the cause of the problem to be a corrupt memory card....backed up the essential data and a quick reformat of the card solved the problem....(just for anyone that may have the same problem)

Outlook Mobile messages problem

Hello everybody!
Hope someone can help me, as this is a troublesome issue:
First of all, I'm on a Touch Pro with a Stock WWE ROM. The one that was provided with the phone.
Since yesterday, and without any apparent cause (haven't installed/changed a thing), the Pocket Outlook refuses to open my email messages.
I get the email in the inbox, but when trying to load a message, it just flashes the taskbar, changing the 'X' closing button to 'ok', marks the message as read, but doesn't load it.
The weird thing is it does open the SMS messages. I'm guessing that works because of the threaded view being enabled, so the viewer program is different.
I've tried to erase the account (GMail) and recreate it, didn't help at all.
Any ideas?
Can I reinstall the Outlook in any way without Hard-resetting the device?
Thanks a lot!
wow sounds pretty similar to my problem (except i couldn't open sms's either).
I found my problem to be my memory card....maybe try removing ur memory card(if you have one installed) and resetting the phone, then try to access your outlook messages.....worked for me anyway....hope it helps

PLEASE HELP .. Diagnose Service Start problem

Hi There,
I got a problem on my Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) stock 6.5.
Most of the time (not always), when I soft reset, I have a services.exe error.
I found a couple of threads discussing the same error but no answer.
I know a hard reset would certainly fix the problem but I just would like to avoid it.
I don't expect an answer to this because I am aware that services.exe is the WM service wrapper so it could be any of the services that causes the problem but I only want to know if there is a way to know WHICH services is causing the error ? (On windows desktop, event log helps to find out most of the time which services has stopped unexpectedly). Is there a hidden log somewhere ?
Thanks for your help.
