Hi Guys,
My Palm Treo 750 runs on Windows Mobile 6.0. I've configured my organization's mail (POP3/SMTP) on it and it works fine. But the mails are stored in the phone memory instead of card memory.
There is an option to store the attachments on card memory, but no option to store all mails on card. Since phone memory is very less (about 60 MB), this limits the no. of mails I can have at the phone, and forces me to clean-up mails very regularly.
Is there any way I can configure my phone to store mails on card memory?
Cheers
Nitin
I'd also like to know if this is possible and how to achieve.
Thanks!
Andrew

Dear all,
Is it possible to sync (or store) the Pocket outlook data on storage card? I can't find any setting about this; however is it possible for me to make it via any tweak (like registry modification)?
Let me explain why I need to do this. I understand that when device failed, I can always sync PIM to new PDA with outlook on notebook or desktop computers. However my secnario is that if I can store Pocket outlook (PIM) data on the storage card, I will not need my notebook or desktop. I can just put the storage card into a new PDA, and I can have all the info. I may leave notebook in home, but will carry PDA all the time. This is what I thought for this.
Thanks for reading this post and your kindly assist.

if it's the same type of device you can just use xbackup or spirite backup to backup and restore your data from the sd card
the thing about putting active programs and data on sd cards is they have a limited nr of writes they can do before they die
and most programs cant cope with their storage being removed run time
which you can do when it's on a sd card
sd cards are disabled when the device is off to save power
if you get a mail or sms when the device is off the sd is off too
Dear Rudegar,
Thanks for the reply. It looks like there is no way to store PIM in the storage card. I will try to test another solution, eg. to sync with Exchange server directly. The only issue to sync with Exchange is that it is not so easy to find wireless access point.

Is it possible to move the messages from Outlook and other IMAP/POP accounts to be stored on an SD card and is it wise?
I have a 2Gb Ultrat II card and like to store a reasonable history of full messages (including attachments) and am worried about filling up my Universals memory too quickly.
You all are intelligent as heck- I am a newbie. And learning.
I am trying to free up some RAM in my TC. I am trying to, or wish to, have my Outlook inbox, calendar, and contacts download into my phone. I am getting a memory full message. And I see no method that I can see to move programs over to storage cards..
Is there a way to move some of my programs over to a larger storage card? And what is that process please....?!
Thank you all. This is my first HTC...and not real up to speed.....
Your Inbox might not fit into built-in memory.
There is a configuration option for outlook (and mail in general) to save Attachments to the Storage-Card.
This should free up the memory enough.
Hi,
I have a Polaris qith Bepe's67 Full installed for 3 weeks.
Since last saturday, poutlook won't launch. I can't read nor send text messages, nor can I see if someone tried to contact me.
Has anyone got same problem ?
Thanks a lot.
Alber
No more problem with pocket outlook.
The storage folder of my SD card which attachements are stored was broken, so outlook won't launch. I desactivated SD storage to regain control on outlook.
This post can be locked.
After disabled the storage card for storing attachment for messages, finally regain the control for text messaging. Thanks for the information.
Is there anyway of saving all your text messages and picture mail messages on the storage card instead, so it doesn't use the main memory?
Thanks,
Anthony
