Win Mob 5.0 ROM Development?

Hi
(First post, done lots of reading though!)
I have an iMate JAM and really want an update for WM5.0.
Don't think there's any chance of an official one (B*****DS!!), but I'm sure you clever XDA ROM fanatic types can come up with a way to make one.
Is there a way to merge the drivers from the latest Magician ROM with the WM2005 Himalaya leaked OS? Surely the hardware can't be THAT different that big changes need to be made.
Taking it a step further, maybe updated files from the new PPC non-phone edition ROM updates could be incorporated to make it more stable.
I've been hunting through google and a few foreign pages seem to mention there being a leaked magician beta rom in the early days, can anyone confirm this?
I'll let someone who knows their stuff disprove me now!
If anyone HAS managed to get anywhere with cooking a ROM for WM5.0, let us know here

Why does no one reply to these types of posts?
If you look on the Himalayas forum, the people there managed to get WM2005 on their XDA II...how come we can't get it on our Magicians?

i want WM 5.0. IS IT REALLY IMPOSSIBLE, OR MIGHT COME SOON

I saw some forum said that WM5.0 doesn't work on iMate-JAM (O2 mini Dopod 818), they said there are many function is abnormal, eg. the carmera, GPRS, etc.
May we need time waiting xda-developers can release a suitable WM5.0ROm for iMate JAM (O2 mini , Dopod) fans to upgrade.

Yeah, the fact that we Himalaya users are now using WM5.0 is thanks to somebody that stumbled with a XDA2 with WM5.0 preloaded and was kind enough to share it with us...
Of course there where some tweaking and modifications involved, but the thing is that there was an XDA2 with WM5.0 already installed.

your looking at the MDA, the T-mobile dash is where you get WM6 if you have T-mobile, i have cingualr /cry

no T-mobile cell number
well i unlocked my device, unfortunately i need to type in a t-mobile phone number to download windows mobile 6.... maybe some one would be so kind as to help me out

well i had thought if i unlocked my(Wizard g3)phone i could install it but apparently the dash is a smart phone and not a P.D.A and i get an error saying cant talk to my smart phone. >< guess i was wrong an to think it took me forever to unlock it and now i cant get Wm6 =(

you aren't paying attention very well...an official WM6 update won't be out for the MDA. it's only out for the dash. the dash is a smartphone. the MDA is a PPC. they are not compatible with each other. You are in the correct forum though to download unofficial WM6 ROMs. that's what I use for my MDA.

If you really want to download the official TMobile 2.26 from TMobile's site you can always do what I did before I found this forum... Check the TMobile customer forums and look at complaints... A lot of people post their phone numbers on there, just use one of those... works like a charm!

That's Smartphone only (aka WM6 'Standard'), so for non-touch devices...
Makes it useless for the Kaiser

I read on another forum, windowsXlive I believe, that there will also be a release for WM6 Pro. We can only hope. Looks cool enough though!

Microsoft already presented WM6.1. I saw it on i607, i read about upcoming release for i617. Is there any possibility to get it on i600?

would love to have WM6.1 on my i600 too...

I have read that Samsung want to sell Wm6.1 only in the new BlackJack2 and newer models.
I hope that upgrade at wm6 in Samsung website become in this days upgrade at WM6.1

Yeah, this ROM is for BlackJack. BlackJack have no WiFi.

hope they manage to make one for the i600, would be great.

Err, the Korean version of the Blackjack has WiFi. Consider it the Blackjack 1.5. Someone released a cooked WM6.1 for it today, adding Korean support, but unfortunately no support for WiFi (and I still can't ever get text messages to work with cooked roms, if only I better knew Korean).

Read the thread below and you will see it is for the i607

Hello, I'm the author of the ROM's over at txcaesar. Is there a serious tester here that is willing to put their i600 to some flashing experimentation?
I do not have the device, but I have enough knowledge to port the ROM from i607 (which is itself ported from another device) - however I will need a handful of people to do some intense private testing before releasing it 'to the wild' - if you are interested, please register an account over at txcaesar and make a post in the "Contribute to the ROM" section that you are willing to help test. Once we get a handful of testers, I will cook it up

Dell Axim x51v .. looking for 6.1 or 6.5 ROM!!

Hello everybody,
I have been searching for the last two to three weeks looking for either the Lenny SH 6.1 or 6.5 WM ROM. All of the old links from earlier posts here on xda were all hosted by RapidShares... and of course we all know they are long gone. If anyone has a copy they would be willing to share I would greatly appreciate the help. Or, if you know where online I can find it that would be equally amazing. Thank you folks!!

But I'm having issues with loading the image into the phone.
I get a blank screen, no ROM listed. Maybe you should try and let me know if it works for you?
