The short answer is no, the alternative is, you can buy Photo Contacts Pro which allows you to display large pic ID
Thanks
I Tried Photo Contacts Pro 4.0 and it was very nice.
caller id pic
You're welcome, I like it very much, very configurable program.
But you have to manage the pictures of the project separatly and not directly using the pictures of the contacts in MS outlook.
is there any program doing that??

Change Caller ID / Incoming Call Screen?

I would like to change the layout and size of the photo on the caller id/incoming call screen.
I've seen Photo Contacts Pro - not interested. I just want to use the regular contacts system but have a better incoming call screen. At least a larger photo. This can't be that hard of a hack eh?

Try this http://www.pocketx.net/

Thanks Sebastian, but after trying it, I don't like it. It doesn't seem to work quite like the rest of WM5/6.
All I really want is an app that allows me to redesign the incoming/outgoing caller screen and use the photos already linked in the contacts database on the phone.
Ah well. Looks like I'll be waiting for someone to write it.

Increase contact pic size in incoming/outgoing call

How to increase Contact pic size in incoming/outgoing calls...
In old pocketpc's like pda,pda2k etc...there are more features available to enhance call features, & also increase contact pic size...
How to do this?
maybe dump the rom and replace the dlls. or use slide to unlock.
slide to unlock has low quality of presenting the pic.
joining to the request , is there any other software that's make it ?
you might want to try Photo Contact Pro
+1 for Photos Contact Pro, or else Inesoft Address Book

That's because the contact pic was uploaded using the default MS app. If you use either S2V or HTC Album the contact pic will be of higher resolution, then S2U2 full screen looks great.

Photo size for contact

Hi there
I have added photo for contact but the resolution is v bad! please advise what actual size should I add?
Yes i also would like to know this. What resolution should the pictures be for better appearence??
you have to add the pictures from the people tab for better res
The picture quality in the TF3D "Persons"-Tab ist very low. The pictures i put on the phone for this contacs are in a very good resulution. How is it posible to change this quality?
Hope the other people had the same question an the last post is not realy an answer?!?!?
thx
wm3k
This has been answered before, I know because it helped me out no end.
1. Add the contact to the favourites tab in TF3D
2. Click the Menu softkey (right softkey) and choose the Change Picture option
3. Simply select the same picture again.
It will now be crystal clear (provided you are using clear pictures to start with)

Thanks mate! It works now.
I just re-imported the favorites pictures through the TF3D interface, and all of the pictures were rescaled to 256 pixels high.
The pictures still have 24 bit color depth.
the best if you prepare pictures 256x256 pixels, 28 pixels/inch resolution, and save them as 24bit RGB .png files. Otherwise it uses internal mechanism to re-scale them, which affects picture quality.
The images that end up on a contact in Outlook using this method thru TF3D are much better quality/resolution than you can attach by using Outlook directly.
Is there a way to attach high quality images like this by using Outlook or some other tool on a PC rather than the phone? i.e. how could I get high quality images like this on my contacts if I didn't have this phone?
Thanks for the answer. Works great!

HTC Touch Pro SMS & EMail Font Size Issue - Help Required

Team,
I am looking for some real help here.
I have a (Vodafone) HTC Touch Pro and have been using this for the last 6 months. I have a condition where my sight is at a fixed focal length. Reading SMS and EMails on this phone is very difficult for me and, at times, impossible. I use glasses but do not carry them with me at all times.
Does anyone know of a way that I can increase the size of the text on SMSs, emails and other areas of the phone? Here is what I have done over the last few months with no luck:
System Text - Basic
I have set the system font size to the biggest available through:
Settings -> System -> Screen -> Text Size -> Largest
I have also ensured that the Sensor Wheel is working when viewing texts by moving this clockwise - the text is at its largest.
This is still too small for me. :-(
Software
I tried using the AdvancedConfigurationTool from http://www.touchxperience.com/
Still no luck there.
I also changed the theme in the hope that I would be able to increase or change the text size - nope.
Finally I used a bit of software that allows the system fonts to be changed, even adding new fonts to the interface (sorry, can't find link). While this updated all text sizes the SMS text remained the same size.
Does anyone think this is the Vodafone branding preventing me from changing the font size? I would not like to invalidate the warranty at this point.
I like the phone but I am really finding it difficult to use as normal. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
Ricemonk
Thought an upload of what the SMS text is like would help:
I know this may look perfectly normal to almost all users however when on the HTC Touch Pro screen this is much smaller and difficult for me to read.
Open up Messaging and select a Mail Account. Then click on an email to view. From there, go to Menu -> View -> Text Size and select whatever size you want.
This action also effects all other txt in Both Mails & SMS.
Thanks for your reply treo927 however this was already set to highest as I changed the system text to the maximum.
It looks like I am destined to move away from the Touch Pro after only 6 months and on to a Blackberry.
ricemonk,
I recently had the opposite problem to you ... the fonts were too large, they were massive in SMS and email. I tried everything to reduce them in the mail settings.
I recall that I managed to fix it with a font setting from IE ... weird I know, but they must be connected. I cant now find exactly what setting I altered, but it was something in internet explorer.

adamcullen,
Thanks for your reply - I will take a look and fiddle with the settings and let you know how it goes.

Ricemonk, try SMS Tweaker http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/SMS-Tweaker-Download-62457.html
It's a free program that lets you set the text message font size in normal mode (not threaded mode) up to 16 points. It looks pretty big to me. I hope it works for you.
