There is a application avialable for N95 where i can activate applications by shaking the phone.
See the video : -- http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=tVjQZtJ8UGc
and dowload link :---- http://sharehere.cn/download/download.php?file=7b5caa63ef6bdf6f8a0f878fb9b1959a
is there a application for HTC s710 or possibility of making one ??
I Guess it ain't possible
no vox does not have shake sensors.
but i never knew n95 had them.
Yeah, All revisions of the N95 have an accelerometer. I think the only HTC devices that have them are the Advantage and Diamond.

Can anyone tell me which of these HTC machines I should go for...
* Qtek 9600 / HTC TyTN
or
* HTC P3600
I would like to have WLAN, ability to use VOIP sip phones on it, useful for navigator, I would prefer QWERTY but not 100% important... on which one of them can I also use TomTom or any of the navigation systems out there...
thanks for more information
Tytn
if you edit and re-title/subject you're more likely to get responses from people who have either or both devices.
But my choice will be the Tytn because 1 the HTC P3600 is not available where I am, 2 I'd miss the keyboard after having a Wizard and 3 looking at the wiki, they look the same except for battery life and mine gets plugged into my pc every day and charges anyway.
B
thanks bbobeckyj for ur response... I wonder what sort of keyboard is with the P3600 as I haven't seen any picture or any info about this. I also think the TyTN would be nice for its QWERTY since using P990i small QWERTY made my writing much fun...
I am basically planning to get either one of this gadgets basically for VoIP over WLAN purposes & navigation since I own a SE P990i which lack the VoIP from Skype or any SIP soft phone but I wont mind enjoying easy texting to webpages and emails...
sorry,
I wasn't very clear, what I meant to say was that they look the same except the keyboard AND the battery life,
there is no board with the p3600,
B
please what is the board and what keyboard is with the p3600? I am new with these machines but I want to know b4 i make the final decision...
thnx
no keyboard on p3600
There is NOT a keyboard with the p3600. I was a little unclear in my first reply.
They look the same except the Tytn has a keyboard but a shorter batery life.
So basically, do you want a keyboard or a thin phone?
Sorry for the confusion,
B
i would like to have a keyboard but if I know what is on the p3600, i can decide properly. how can i type SMS on the p3600 if there is no keyboard or physical dialpad?
thnx
Tytn vs 3600
The Tytn (also i-mate Jasjam, Dopod 838 Pro) has a sliding keybord. Type in Jasjam or Tytn to Google and you'll get 1000 pictures. The 3600 lacks the keyboard, but has a functioning GPS chip that is only waiting for a factory ROM to make it work. Unless they can solve some hardware issues the Tytn will never have GPS so you will need a Bluetooth GPS receiver with the Tytn. It will them work as a Navigator. Check

for just one reference.

pda phones have touch screens and support you writing sms's in handwriting on the screen or using the software keyboard in the software
p3450. herald (i think) is halfway between the wizard and tytn. look them all up on youtube to get a good view

thanks everyone for the input..i do like TyTN for the keyboard as it is quite stylish and fast to type SMS or use emails but with that P3600, it will be difficult to achieve that. I am indeed interest in the GPS and faster system in the P3600 but since many things even needs to be solved on the model,I better 4get about it
It was a half year ago (see review HERE) that Microsoft released the first beta of their VoIP / video phone / SIP program Microsoft Portrait. Microsoft has, in the meantime, released version 3.1.
I was very eager to check it out as 3.0 didn’t support front cameras on any Pocket PC’s, which would be essential for TCP/IP-based video phoning.
To make a long story short, unfortunately, the new version doesn’t support video phoning using front cameras either. It still only lists CAM1: (the rear camera) on all my Pocket PC models with two built-in cameras: the HTC Universal and the HTC Trinity (p3600). This is certainly bad news.
Furthermore, as far as the MS Smartphone compliance is concerned, it didn’t work on either the WM6 QVGA HTC Vox (s710) or the WM5 AKU3 HTC Oxygen (s310). On the former, it just displayed the “Initialize Portrait control failed” and, then, the “Get camera resolutions failed” info messages; on the latter, nothing has happened at all. Both phones are SIM / app unlocked and I’ve tried making Portrait work on them several times (yes, after resetting too).
All in all, it’s still useless for video phoning over traditional TCP/IP. Only get it if you only need it for voice / textual communication on Pocket PC's only (again, it seems it's completely incompatible with MS Smartphones, regardless what the product page states.)
I'm using WM6 on a wizard and am happy to report it did work for me. Pretty fantastic actually. True, the camera is on the back and it's upside down, but it's good enough. I can finally check "video chat from my PPC" off the list!
is it really chat when you can see the other person at the same time as they can see you ?
and is the grps of wizard fast enough to use it prob?
i have an HTC Touch Diamond. And tried this with my MSN. But my contact list was empty. and when i called myself from pc it gave error about my msn version.
With a wireless connection this software can be great. Also it did not use my 3G camera and when i checked in cameras section there is only one option named CAM1.
Anyone else tried?
Tried this on a HTC Titan (Sprint Mogul) and it does work for me either with the same results as the previous poster. Any one have this working anymore?
hi all.
I have a htc hermes 300 and a htc touch (elf) and i am wondering if this can be done.
Basicaly i want to leave my hermes in one room and have it send real time audio to my other device (touch)
reason being i wanted to set them up as a baby monitor and am not sure how.
I also have a p990i smartphone which when i pair via blutooth to my elf or tyntn displays listening device as a service but i dont know how to choose or set this up.
Is there a way to set this up or maybe 3rd party app that can do this ??
both ppcs are on wm6 and my SE p990i is runing UIQ3.
not sure if this is the right section to post such a query and am sorry if its not
thanx in advance

possible - see MS Portrait, Fring, OctroTalk or even Skype. search the Wiki
EDIT: unfortunately, TCP/IP apps like the above all require a BT PAN network. I don't know if the 990 is BT PAN-capable; the Nokia N95 isn't. If it is, then, it'll work.
An alternative would be using the target WinMo handset as a "headset" of the 990. Unfortunately, this doesn't work either (with the built-in MS BT stack on WinMo. With Widcomm, it MIGHT be hackable.).
Hello,
anyone has this phone ?
cheers
yes me, but i can't unlock it, and i can't find a gps software for it...
GPS Software
Garmin Mobile XT works beautifully on it.
and you don't have any problems with the keyboard?
all keys are recognized?

But recently I have purchaed samsung c-6625 and I have install Vito 1.37, While calll recording it records only opposite person's voice, and doesn't record my voice at all. I have tried this with one note also with insert voice recording but same result. infect i need to put my speaker phone on even if i have to record opposite person't voice,
I can't understand why it is not recording my voice? As this is my day in day out feature i was looking in my phone, if this doesn't seems to be work then i have to buy new one again with same facility...
Can any one tell me how to record 2 way voice recording on same model.
Thanks in advance,

Hi..
How is the battery backup practically ?
thanks
how to upgrade this phone to wm6.5 friends?
thx.
is there any comment for C6625?
Comments on C6625
I am a new owner of a Samsung C6625.
First thing first the minuses:
- no touchscreen running an OS designed for touchscreens! most software are running but are unusable. Imagine a igo8 running and getting stuck in the main menu (frustrating)
- GPS has poor signal
- WM is standard
- community support for it is limited!
- no wifi
Pluses
+ no slide for keyboard
+ bussiness phone image.
Advice
Buy a normal touch screen phone something form HTC, Eten if you are lucy and don't have hardware problems then you have good mobile with great community support. I also have an older M700 Eten running WM6.5 that I will keep because the C6625 isn't able to replace it.
hello all,
i'm from indonesia,i've use this phone for quite sometimes.
its true that garmin XT works very nice in this device.and if you want to use free pushmail you might consider using SEVEN (its realtime pushmail, excellent).
someone posted about sms notifier,is it similar to sms ticker?cos if it is its already in the device,so you don't have to install third party softwares.
i found this device very handy, especially for backups.by simply using microsoft myphone, and my C6625 is on the internet!
for other applications,i think we can use any WM 6.1 softwares.heaps of it is on the net!^^
about upgrading to 6.5, i don't think C6625 will survive,or maybe if you push it,it'll explode because of the processor's limit.LOL

i think GPS signal depends on your location,so it doesn't count for the minuses of this device.CMIIW
The device is more than good, my best one-Hand Phone. I use it for months, GPS with Garmin is really nice. But now I look for the HTC ozone, Samsung Omnia B7330 or LG GW550, it just has something new here. Therefore, I sell my C6625 so if you have interest, just let me know.

hi, i'm from indonesia and i think this c6625 is very good. garmin XT work very nice even i was inside home.
We are aware of hTC HD 2 a.k.a. hTC Leo that comes with multi-touch support. And this will ruin iPhone supremacy over PPC. It is the only thing PPC lack from iPhone, at least till now.
As a raphael user, I am curious about this feature. Will our raphael can have this feature as well? Is it hardware or software? If it can be enabled by a mere software, I would be very glad and just wait till a chef cooked it on a ROM.
so yea, what do we need to enable it? software or hardware?
50/50 multi touch
the front panel on our raph is multitouch but i havent seen anything on the actual screen being multitouch hasnt been any advances in software just the debug program
sorry to link
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=693
The raphael screen is resistive, as such it cant support multi-touch. Yes, i know there is (i think a guitar hero style game) which spoofs multi-touch. But its only spoof.
The Leo (HD2), as with the iphone, uses a capacative screen which does allow for multi-touch support (its then down to the OS & software to actually use it).
There are advantages to both types of tech, for example you cant use a stylus (or thick gloves) with the capacative screen, but you can have multi-touch.
There is loads more info & technical detail on the forums if you're interested, but if you're just looking for a multi-touch Raph, then i'm afraid the answer is no.
