When Mozilla will release Firefox Mobile?
probably not anytime soon, the latest build of Opera Mobile 9.5 should serve you well though.

Wont be for a lonnngg time.....
I think there is a concept version available:
http://azarask.in/blog/post/firefox-mobile-concept-video/
and here:
http://code.google.com/p/aza/source/checkout
looks like it'll eat lots of ram...even more than the current opera betas which only allowed for three concurrent tabs. But let's see...
The concept preview didn't show any killer features (like flash and plugin support). I really could care less about the interface. Netfront, Opera, and Picsel Browser are pretty finger friendly already.

There's no doubt, Windows Mobile will support Adobe Flash and become a "desktop like" multimedia experience. The question is when.
Skyfire had better release their browser or there will be no use for it.

Based on the performance of past Internet Explorer versions--I'd say that Skyfire might still out-perform it. From various comments and reviews, I understand that Skyfire is remarkably fast despite the added Flash-support. Let's hope Microsoft gives them run for their money!
yea..i wouldnt be too worried if i was skyfire..microsoft hasnt gotten it right yet...what makes me think they will start to now?
The only thing missing from the smartphone/internet experience is adobe flash support. That accounts for a tremendous amount of web page viewing. People are tired of looking at text or empty boxes while viewing web pages from their phones. Microsoft already has their new browser, which was unveilled at CITA last April. It would seem logical to release an update by the first quarter of 2009. This is also the time for CES in Vegas 2009.
Some company will eventually offer adobe flash based viewing for windows mobile -- that's the good news.
Rim (blackberry) and apple (iphone) will probably not support adobe flash, even though apple is talking about adding it.

Description: The much anticipated Fennec mobile browser, made by the creators of Firefox, is finally in alpha stage. Now you have all the advantages of Firefox right on your Windows Mobile phone. Fennec's user interface controls have been rebuilt to be entirely CSS based. Fennec also supports Add-ons (there is a Twitter add-on, for example).

Thanks for the link... going to give it a shot
This software was not created/released by the OP, so it does not belong in Dev & Hack. Moving to General...
olllllllllllllld news
cheers, how is it working guys?
Does Fennec works?
Its very unstable on hd2,lags all the time and many times crash on most of devices because is alpha realese
And as far as I know they have stopped development of Fennec for Windows Mobile and they also wont develop for WP7 because it offers no NDK I think.
Yeah, the above posts are both right. I gave it a try for a while and couldn't even access a web page - it's nowhere near usable, although there was a nice sliding menu system.
You'd be better sticking with Opera or Skyfire.
device-neutral app store in the works at Opera, starting with an alpha release of theWholesale Applications Community (WAC) 1.0 Specification for android.

This is great news for Android!
Thanks
iOS has Safari Mobile, WP7 has IE Mobile, I'm just curious to why Google hasn't released a mobile version of Chrome for android. Android is at version 3.x now so its pretty matured, but still missing Chrome. Does anyone know exactly why they are not releasing it or why the delay?
I also don't get why Apple hasn't released iChat for iOS.

Dont know why dont you ask them and report back?
umm..because Android stock browser is chrome? it just needs updating...
My guess is at some point in the future Android and Chrome Os might merge in some shape or form...but to put a full featured chrome on Android would kinda remove the point of Chrome OS...
Correct the stock browser is based on the desktop version of the Chrome Browser. However it still does not have the same GUI.
There are multiple web browsers though that offer many of the same functionalities. I'm currently digging the Angel Browser myself.
