Use Moto Q9c - Phone as Modem ? - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

I have a Moto Q9c with $100 simply everything plan.
How can I use this phone to connect to my laptop to get on the internet?
I tried connecting this phone to 2 different computers after turning on ICS...and both computers DO NOT recognize the phone hardware and windows asks me for a driver...which sprint website does not have.
According to sprint support, the Q9c driver will be available in mid june for this plan ...if that makes any sense.
any ideas ?

LG VX9800 and the ATT Network

Ok everyone, this is a stretch but I have an older LG VX-9800 phone and I want to use it on the ATT wireless network. Believe it or not there is actually a sim slot on the phone but I am not sure if it is disabled. If it is disabled, I am not sure if it is at the hardware or software level (I.E. the current software does not recognize the sim slot even though it is physically there. Any thought or suggestions? I loved that phone and would love to use it again. Even though Verizon has thier newer Envy, I belive that the hardware on the 9800 is a little more superior.
I'd like to know if GSM is possible on this phone. Is there any chance of WM6X on this device?
if its a windows mobile device then post you question over at winmodevs.com

Tethering with AT&T

Hi All,
I have a HTC 8X. It's a Bell CA version but unlocked and I use it on AT&T. I recently upgraded my data plan to include tethering but have some issues.
I've tried with multiple devices so its definitely my phone with the issue. I am able to turn on sharing and connect via wifi to my phone. My phone shows that I am successfully connected but I cannot reach the internet. AT&T have checked the provisioning of the account and tell me it should be working. The only thing I can think of is there is some inner workings where Bell and AT&T differ.
Anyone got any ideas for me please? Cheers.

[Q] Spoof Device for Carrier

I am on AT&T and when I log in to my account, it shows the device my SIM card is plugged into.
Is if there is a way to spoof the device AT&T thinks my SIM is connected to?
I'd like to stick a SIM into an Android smartphone, but let AT&T think that I'm on a Nexus 7 or some kind of tablet. That way, I'd only pay data at $30 a month for 3GB and use a VOIP app for calling. In theory, I can make this work with a LTE version of the Nexus 7, but I don't want to carry around that giant thing as if it was a regular phone.
Also, would the phone automatically always try to establish a "phone connection" even if I just have data? I notice there is no way to toggle off the phone part of the device without turning on airplane mode. Perhaps messing with the API or something?

No ! .. You can't .. The provider detects your devices mostly from your IMEI/UUID number Which you CANNOT spoof ..

[Q]How can you get free Wireless Tethering on HTC M8 with windows 8.1

I am pondering getting the HTC one m8 with windows 8.1 and my only hold back is I have unlimited data with Verizon and don't want to lose ability to use it. Is there a way to tether on this phone that would not involve the carrier? Thanks for any and all input
Yes, if you manage to interop unlock the device and have write access to the registry.

You can't.
You can tether a PC by using said PC to create a Wi-Fi hotspot, and using a third party app to make the phone a proxy server. Connect the phone to the PC and configure the PC to use the phone as a proxy.
The app is called Tether-X

July 31, 2015 - Like other comments posted; you can't unless you use a branded Verizon Wireless SIM card. The phone may be GSM unlocked for use with AT&T HSPA+ and T-Mobile LTE but that's as nice as Verizon Wireless will be with their variant and as you see AT&T does not have their LTE bands on the device, only HSPA+. The last device to be successfully interop-developer unlocked was the Samsung Ativ SE but future updates did their level best to disable what some were able to do with the device. I am not aware there are any Windows Phone 8.x devices that have this capability though there are those who think the HTC One may be able to since there was great success with the HTC HD2 which continues to be a workhorse among older devices but that is likely to come to an end as T-Mobile phases out HSPA altogether rendering the devices useless short of a brick or GPS stand-alone. You're only hope is to use Android.

Do I need a non-carrier edition of a phone to properly tether without rooting?

I recently purchased a used LG G4 (H810 - AT&T version). I couldn't pass up the $180 price. I am on Straight Talk in the USA with an AT&T SIM. My previous phones have been nexus devices or unlocked non-carrier models. I have always been able to use the built-in Android wi-fi tethering. I don't use a lot of data, but I do need to tether occasionally. This is my first carrier-branded device on Straight Talk. Being an AT&T phone, they do everything they can to block tethering. I have tried countless apps on the phone, along with ones that do a USB tether with a PC. (ClockworkMod Tether, PDANET) I have not been able to get anything to work. This particular model is NOT ROOTABLE. Have I made a mistake buying this phone? Do I need to get an international unlocked edition if I want to do wi-fi tethering? I really like the phone and the camera is great, but not being able to tether is very dangerous in my profession as I am on-call 24/7.
