Screen Rotation - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hi All
Does anyone know what are the files/ DLL's which are responsible for the screen rotation ?
Thanks in advance and best regards.

Screen rotation is a windows API AFAIK.

The screen update in the video dialer in the new Official WM6.1 is very fast also th screen rotation.
I found that the PHCAN*.dll are responsible for the dialer screen update.
I copied the new Wm6.1 dll's to wm6 and got the same effect, Fast dialer.
According to the above, I thought there must be a dll/s responsible for the screen rotation also.
Regards

It may be an application specific effect, but IIRC actually getting the operating system to change orientation is the same API on Windows and Windows Mobile.

HTC Action screen with sliding animation ?

I believe there is a newer version of HTC Action Screen in US version of HTC Touch dual. It has a cool sliding animation when activated.
Check this video (at 1:08)
http://www.pdasnews.com/articles/3945/1/
Search did not turn up anything. Has anyone extracted this already ?
Thanks in advance.
Does nobody know anything about this? I have been wondering aswell. And if there was a way to modify it so it does the same function when sliding out the keyboard on the Kaiser (landscape mode) Or if someone could develop a similar application with animations and skinning support.

Compatible G-Sensor games and apps

Hello again.
Following the ROM update to Mitchyprima's 6.1 lite reloaded, I've been looking for apps and games that make use of the now active G-sensor.
So far I've found none.
The only thing it does at the moment is auto-rotate the screen when the device is turned.
I've installed lots of apps and games mostly designed for the touch and touch pro, but none of them work.
Can anyone tell me about any apps that are compatible with the X7510, or any dlls/mods I need to use to enable the G-sensor for accelerometer enabled apps?
Thanks.
i have an app called changer
you can add any app to the program and it will rotate is that what your looking for
You do not need any additional app to have rotation feature. This is already built in the ROM by Michy. You only have to go to G-sensor option and switch X7510 rotation on.
However if you are looking for some games and other apps then I can't help. I know GSen app for rotation, but now it is useless as we have it already and personally do not use anything else.
So nobody is using the G-sonsor for anything except rotating the screen?

I don't even use it for that! I find the automatic rotation a pain in the butt- it's so slow to repond that you have turned to device round and round waiting for it to happen, then it keeps rotating till it catches up with you
I've got AE ButtonPlus programmed to use the Home button to manually rotate the screen. Same with my Diamond- I use PocketPlus to manually rotate it
The screen also rotates to landscape when you put your X7510 on your keyboard.
I like is that way.
The only thing I might find usefull, is scrolling trough your web-browser with the G-sensor.
I don't know hoe accurate this is but you can measure the slope of a surface using the 'bubble level' concept.
Might be a demo but it is on a freeware site
I am using the G-Sensor Calibration for Diamond from this site and it works on the X7510.
Topic on that tool is here.

Constant screen rotation

I've had a lot of issues with the screen constantly rotating on my fuze when i slide the keyboard out. Goes all the way from Monx>Pfcsabre>At0mAng and even self cooked roms in Da_G's kitchen. I never install any kind of g-sensor applications either. All i do is use the default calibrator.
A soft reset seems to fix it for a bit but before long it shows again. It's very frustrating while trying to type an sms/email and it keeps rotating from portrait to landscape.
I've tried to search for it...but if you put in g-sensor or screen rotate all ya get are apps. Has anyone else encountered this before?
Thanks

I did encounter with At0mAng's new ROM...... its too much in convenient that's why changed to my own build ROM. Its some thing to do with gsensor pack used or some drivers used from Diamond ROM( I cook my own ROM in AtOmang's kitchen)
Seems like u have Gyrator installed.... I use Energy Rom and it only rotates to the default orientation when the keyboard slides out... and exception of the new opera...
Package/Application [OEM]
Some applications, such as Opera, handle Rotation internally ... have a look at the .REG/.RGU as well as the .INI file(s). Also verify the OEM .PROVXML's asa some of them include changes to Opera behaviour.
As for other rotation in other applications, G-Sensor (aka Sensor SDK 4.0) provides the abilitiy to configure White/Black list entries. If you look at the G-Sensor 4 package I posted to the OEM Repository (4Shared), you will find a .PROVXML that allows you to quickly define entries for both lists.
The original values for the entries in the .PROVXML are found in the .REG/.RGU file.

That the frustrating part. It does it without being in an app. I can have the phone sitting with nothing running and just showing the tf3d screen..slide out the keyboard and just watch it switch back and forth

Rotation for Phone Canvas and Manila are also definable entries in the White/Black list for G-Sensor 4.
If you're up to it, download the WinMO 6.1.21051 kitchen (and packs) and cook a ROM with the 21051_Test_ERV_Profiles.zip - use the thread paperclip to locate the attachment. It's the ROM profile that I currently use for my device.
The Manila version is 1.2.35845.1_1813.6; Landscape should display and 8 button selection page. If you experience erratic behaviour, it could indicate a hardware related issue.

[REQ] [TUT] S2U2 2.24 on HD2

Hey guys,
i know theres a thread about 400 Pgs. of the S2U2 software... but there is a lot of chaos in it and no clear solution for the HD2 device..
so .. i would be verryyy grateful if there is someone out there who got a solution to make S2U2 fully work on the HD2 ..
it would be sooo great..
maybe with the possibility to simply uninstall it --> that i would have the stock unlocker..

works nice with HD2, before that you have to disable default auto lock screen to avoid double unlock screen, then restart your phone. File is attached

You can disable that in winmo self right? Or do you really need a cab for just disabling the lock?

u can also use bsb to disable or not everytime u want without any cab.
I prefere s2u2, coz my hd2 has got big issue when I make a call: due to the capacitive screen and coz of the light sensor never works properly, I lock the screen with s2u2 during call.
Yes it's a good app! It also supports custom backgrounds, clocks, sliders and languages:

If most of your contacts have a profile picture from a linked facebook account S2U2 won't display it when they call, it just shows a grey box instead.

There's my post in another s2u2 thread, for s2u2 caller id pics you need s2v pic viewer and assaign from it and you got a brilliant fs caller pic, you can use fullscreen pics well it is the best if you use fs pics at 800*480 or bigger of course maintain the ratio, because you can't zoom without d-pad sadly hd2 doesnt have one, an the latest s2v is a bit old.

Thats the pain though, as the caller ID pics aren't stored on the phone, they are just retrieved from Facebook. To use S2V you'd have to get pictures of all your contacts, save them to your phone and one by one assign them using S2V
I have just one problem, if I disable WinMo Lock for using s2u2, I cant open E-mails from sense direct.
My problem with S2U2 was the battery. It drains like mad. Normally I can do 24hrs easily without recharging, of course with normal phone and internet useage. But with S2U2 installed my battery went from 100 to 2% within 8hrs. Did I do something wrong, does anybody share this experience?
Otherwise it's a great app.

Its mabe happening if you a using walpaper from storage card. I remember this issue from older devices. Just rename your image with same name like in images folder s2u2 and replase original. I did it on my Artemis.
Which is the best setting to use for HD2?
Raw buffer, direct draw or GDI?
Hi,
Does anybody knows how to add HTC Player to S2U2 exceptions list ?
@warnold007
I'm using GDI
thanks guys that really helped me
just disable Auto Lock and then install S2U2 WVGA ..
New v2.30 is out, just installed and evrything is now working for my device.

OziCE on HD2

The is a problem with Oziexplorer on HD2.
I made a field test.
Landscape - errors
Portrait - not stable
Routing - does not work at all.
seems ok
Haven't used it long enough as I keep flashing a newer ROM But Ozi appears to be ok on some basic tests. Even landscape came up once you update the GSen registry. I'm on the miri 1.5.

OZICE working well
I bought and installed OZICE 6 weeks ago. It works well. I had no problems at all. I always use it in portrait mode.
Hi
Ive been running OziExp CE on the HD2 without a hitch.
The secret is to use the screen designer and set the resolution to Pocket PC 240x320. I've tried using a custom 480x800 but it simply wont work!
Ive attached my custom one.

Did you try Routing?
It is working but with a lot of program exceptions and it is not stable.
Landscape support
I haven't tried routing but then I've never used that.
Here's a bunch of entries to support landscape for GoogleMaps, OziExplorer, Garmin and File Explorer.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList]
"GMaps"="GoogleMapsMobile"
"OziExp"="OziExplorer"
"FileMan"="FEXPLORE"
"Garmin"="QUE_SUBAPP_WND_CLASS"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName]
"GMaps"="\Program Files\GoogleMaps\GoogleMaps.exe"
"OziExp"="\Storage Card\OziExplorer 2\OziExplorerCE.exe"
"FileMan"="\Windows\fexplore.exe"
"Garmin"="\Storage Card\Garmin\Apps\WM\QuePPC.exe"[/SIZE]
Attached shows OziExplorer in landscape. I've done no mods to Ozi.
Ozi works very well on my HD2 (used in on stock roms and custom roms)
I really like the pinch-to-zoom feature in Ozi. (First not factory supported app. on which pinch-to-zoom is working, because zooming in Ozi actually is done by blowing up a bitmap without rescaling)
To get pinch-to-zoom AND rotation working in Ozi use BsBTweaks 1.6. No messing around with the registry, just launch and shake

The question is not in that how rotate OziCE screen. By the way, it is easier to use BsB Tweaks 1.6 for this purpose .
OziCE does not use WVGA but only stretches it up to 800х480. OziCE use Dev - Portrait 240w x 320h.par1 in portrait mode.
It is possible to use OziCE Screen Designer and to create Dev - Portrait 480w x 800h.par1, but it is too big when it loaded.
To check more precisionally try to press COURSE UP button on the screen .
In mode LANDSCAPE try to look through pages.
But better is to be on road and to make it in the car.
About ROUTING I already wrote.
In general it is necessary to wait the version for WM 6.5 800x480.
I have found - it is a problem with .ECW map format reading .ECW from SDHC 8GB card.
If you convert it to .OZFX3 - NO PROBLEM
