Okay, I have read so many threads on here my head is spinning. I have tried 30 different things and nothing is working.....I just bought my first WM6 phone it is an HTC Mogul 6800. I am trying to get Goodlink running on it but everytime it goes to install it freezes at 0% downloaded. I have read about others having this issue and how they were able to get around it via installing Opera Mini and setting it as the default browser.
Well I was able to get it installed but not as the default. I followed these links http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1740111&postcount=17 but these are not "cab" files and I cannot get them to run on my phone. For example, when I click on the autorun I get an error that say you have to run this from iside the application that you want to assign it to....What?
My basic question is I need help, and when I say help I need step by step help on how to get Goodlink running smoothly on my HTC Mogul. I would greatly appreciate any help any one can give.

I know you all have upgraded to WM6. So I feel like I should give it a try. So if someone has the link to where I could get the download from. Also could someone tell me the steps I need to do in order for this to go smoothly.
Will I lose my contacts? If so I have tried using activesync to back up my phone but it tells me I need to use outlook in order to do so. I have opened outlook and tried it but I just cannot figure it out. Thats one thing I am worried about when upgrading is that I could loose all my information.
Thanks for all the help in advanced.
I have the 6700 for sprint if that makes a difference.
best thing to do is back up whatever you can, there are loads of backing up programs for windows mobile 5 like SKTools
hope this helps
I am trying to download some apps to my Fuze. There are a lot of them that call for the NET compact 3.5. I downloaded the NET. c directly onto my phone but when I went to open and install it said that this is not a program for windows mobile. I'm new to this and would appreciate any help. What do I need to do? I tried installing the NET. c on to my computer but it didn't do anything either. Thank you for your help.

Is it possible that these are installers you're supposed to run from your computer and they finish their install over an activesync connection?
It might help if you let us know which apps you're trying to install and where you got them from (non-pirated of course).
You need the rigth cab http://www.4shared.com/file/70602905/58d46ffa/NETCFv35wmarmv4i.html
Thank you for replying. I tried to do searches but I kept timing out on the xda website (dial-up only in my area), so I looked on the net. All I could find was a download from microsoft. For some reason I am also having trouble with my active sync. The disk that came with my phone says it needs the new adobe flash player which I have but it won't read, it's having problems with vista. So because of these problems I need to download directly to my phone I guess. The download NET c from microsoft was the one that said it wasn't for windows mobile.
I am just trying to load some different apps to my Fuze for more usablility, games like scobble, a ram cleaner things like that. Nothing pirated for sure, but most I find if not all need the new NET to work.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, thanks again.
Thanks araponga I will give that a try.
Guys,
I need your help. My HTC Touch HD cannot initiate the TouchFlo (3D), and I cannot view it the way it should be at all. I don't know what happened but it just doe sthe following when you restart it:
It will go to the TouchFlo (3D) Page and the message saying "Tap Here to Launch TouchFlo (3D)
I tap and it keeps saying Launching TouchFlo (3D) but it never does that
I can access the mobile from the Start Menu but I want my Touch HD Back to the way it was before.
Anybody has any suggestions please post them or email me at: [email protected]
thank you guys

Save PIM data (ex with PimBackUp or similar) then make an HardReset: HD off, Hold VolUp+VolDown then one click on PowerOn Botton.
D'rath
PS: The process erases all your data but solve the SW problems
Wait, hard reset is the last solution!
Have you installed an application or any graphics drivers? New rom?
If so then you could try to uninstall it and see if the problem is solved!
Sometimes I had this when installing bad drivers.
You could try to install these drivers. (at least before doing a hard reset)
helio is correct,
HR is the last resort (although it will of course fix the problem) as you wont understand what has caused the underlying problem, you will then install the same software/apps and end up with the same issue.
Look at what you have have installed recently, or changed manila files. An incorrect change if playing with a manila file will cause touchflo not to start.
Thanks Guys for your Comments and Recommendations, I really appreciate that,
I need to know how to Backup the PIM Data. I found a file with pim next to it and I already saved it on the Storage Card. Is there any other PIM File(s)? I also listened to you onnot doing the Hard Reset, and removed every software I have doubt about or had installed recently. But the problem still presists, TouchFlo (3D) Cannot launch. Help and thanks again.
Use this app, zip below, to back up your data (emails, contacts etc). The app is simple to use. Word of warning if you use Exchange to sync email and contacts, be CAREFUL....restoring your contacts and then syncing will duplicate all your contact entries (i know because i did it and ended up with 2000 contacts!!!)
You dont say what you had installed, just that you had removed them. Purely unistalling may not fix the issue if a registry change has not reversed.
Have you been playing with any manila files, or deleting anything you shouldnt be? Have you been playing with the registry?
If you really cant analize what you have done and without much more info, you have to decide if the HR is the only available option to you (ie you want the quick fix).
Dear Timmymarsh,
thank you for all you've done for me, I really appreciate that. I am sorry I did not mention what I did. What I have done is try a new ROM, I think it Was WWE but which one I don't remember. I downloaded a bunch of files from this site, thinking they would work without testing them first. But they did not turn out to be what I was looking for. I downloaded the Choco Clock, Sygic GPS, and others from the Manila....and other developers but when I unzipped and installed them they did not work for some reason. So I just deleted them, the thing is I know I should have uninstalled them first. But for some reason I just can't even find the files created by these add-ons or applications. No, I did not touch the registry at all. I am not a Software Man, obviously you guys are amazing in this stuff, I am more into infrastructure if you have any uestions about Wireless Network or Physical Security let me know. I am trying to learn more about this Mobile and want to be able to utilize it to the fullest. Thank you again. For this time I think I am going with the HR so I can erase everything that I downloaded and did not setup Properly, then I am going to install only trusted add-ons and softwares. thanks.
No probs my friend, its what we are here for yes
As for what you have done, its always best to uninstall first, just deleting causing reg problems hence the issues you are now facing. I would say on this occasion HR is your best bet. Best bit of advise i can give you is, install one app/software, test and if there are no compatability issues then add another, if there is then at least you know to safely remove by unistalling that app.
Have fun, the HD is a brilliant bit of kit and can be expanded/modded vastly

JP this is a little off topic, but have you followed the many good guides in the blackstone forum and where are you running the ruu from, make sure its on the root drive not in many folders. You using XP?
PM me please once you have read this and i will delete this post to keep thread clean.
i hope someone can help me out here, i've been using my rom for quite some time now with no problems, then, all of a sudden i get an error called "TARecordExecution.exe" and it says [ Cannot open 'TARecordExecution'. A critical component is either missing or cannot start because program memory is unavailable. Tap Start>Settings>System tab>Task Manager, stop programs that did not automatically stop, and try again. ] this messages pops up every few minuets or so and can't seem to find anything around the net to help me solve the issue.
same issue here. and i'm using the stock rom. it's maddening!
A hard reset is probably needed
I got the same problem some time when i soft restart my T-mobile touch pro2 with cook rom, but after restart again, the message normally with not pop up, i guess it may cause by some software install on storage card.
i guess Bruce Inman is probably right, the only way around it for now is to hard reset. i took it a step further and changed my rom and radio. unfortunately, due to the amount of applications i install ( 64 to be exact and growing ), i can't say i'll ever find out which one is the culprit. i hope someone else will have better luck in finding the program behind this.
not sure if it's related but mine began after I uninstalled an app, TripCase.
I have started getting this message. I get it at random times.
I got it once after I sent a text message.
I got it another time after I restarted my device.
I went into the file explorer and noticed TARECORDEXECUTION.exe was created 11/27/2009
Then I checked when I downloaded a program (their install files) and the only one was SPB Mobil...
I doubt this is the program that did it... I really don't want to have hard reset my phone.. I really don't feel like losing my Apps...
Any help?
Each one that have this issue should post their apps for process of elimination. Are you all on the same ROM, Carrier, etc...?
All of this info will assist in identifying the culprit
Ive got it to. I deleted the c:\windows\TARECORDEXECUTION.exe and removed the enties from the registry(keyword shearch on TARE) and deinstalled: the today/tab customiser.

so are you saying that today/tab customiser was the cause? because i never had that program, i did however have home screen customizer which was downloaded through windows marketplace. are we talking about the same thing here? by the way, i no longer have this issue after changing my rom from dutty's hg r1 to tess leo I, even after installing all the same programs i had before.
TARecordsExecution.exe
Regards
Have the same problem. I installed 2 programs on Marketplace. (HomeCustomizer and TreeSize) Either it is a Marketplace Bug or spins of the customizer, now uninstall the customizer! Let's see.
I had also downloaded the Home Screen customizer from Windows Marketplace... I have a feeling that is the culprit.
I run Sprint...I have a Samsung Intrepid. No ROMS...just stock Winmo6.5 professional.
I have deleted the TARECORDEXECUTION.exe and uninstalled the Home screen customizer from the marketplace...How do I get into my Registry to delete the TARE files?
same here, the Home Screen customizer from Windows Marketplace ... and as i recall it had an update just before this issue began (btw, i'm on the standard rom)

search xda for regedit, download, install, then use that program to search for tare.
Seems kind of weird to have home screen customizer as the problem because i have it installed now and it's giving me no problems on tess rom. i guess the problem only happens on certain roms.
i uninstalled Home Screen customizer through Windows Marketplace this morning and have not had the issue all day, and previously it would have already happened a bunch of times by now (again, i'm on the stock rom, at&t tilt2)
Same here, I have the stock at&t rom on a tilt 2 and started seeing this error after I downloaded the homescreen customizer. I am using the Titanium interface not TF3D.
Hi all, I wrote the Home Screen Customizer app that's on Marketplace.
A workaround for this issue is to:
1) Uninstall Home Screen Customizer
2) Restart the phone
3) Reinstall Home Screen Customizer
4) When adding panels, don't use the "apps" panel for now. You can keep using other panels safely.
Now, I personally haven't seen this issue on my Raphael. Could you please tell me when you get this issue? Is it with specific programs that you're trying to launch?
Thanks
I have not necessarily experienced it while trying to launch a program but it appears to pop up randomly and I am forced to do a soft reset. I guess it is trying to do something in the background. I have Opera, tasks, calc and notes in my apps panel.
BTW an Opera panel with bookmarks would be useful!!
Thanks for your efforts.

I don't use the new Windows home screen at the moment (just some "normal" plugins and MS3.5), but I get the error every time I sync my device.

no, nothing specific, actually i won't even be using wm6.5 default when the problem occurs, it happened when i had htc sense 2.5 active. however, like i mentioned before, the problem happened on dutty's holy grail r1 rom, no problems with tess leo.
Ok i may be wrong for posting this thread but i have searched for 3 days to find a app to android my htc hd2 by tmobile. I'm no expert but i've tried every site i could to find a app. That being said i'm looking to add tikl to chirp and whatever else the android app will allow me. If there are any "good" suggestions please let me know.
Next i have loudtalks which i would love to remove from the phone all together, don't ask cause i wish i didn't install. Neither of my friends have the app which makes it dumb for me to even get so please guide me????????
Look on HD2 LEO area
I found a link that had a combo that flashed Chukky on the winmo side and installed Froyo2.2 on the sd It works without errors. There is one thing that is quirky about it you have to load every time you turn on the phone into winmo then there is a android icon and you restart to android. Otherwise, when it goes into sleep mode the phone won't wake up. The other thing I found was that the flash can get corrupted if you run the battery dead. FYI. I am trying to remember exactly how I found the flash.. I think I got directed to a link that was Chukkys actual site and then from there I found the link that provided the Android. hope that helps...
