you're better off just running the cab to install it, it's not really that different from cooking it in. removing .net 2 and grafting 3.5 in is harder than replacing most packages. there are many places where it hooks in, and you have to have some experience to get the desired result. the cab is really a good way to go...

Does anyone know how to cook the new netcf 3.5 into any of the roms? I have found the netcf 2.0 files and folders but Im not sure if you can cook the new version into a rom or how exactly to go about it. Also, is it worth trying to do? Will I see an increase in performance? Thanks
NetCF 3.5 OEM package
I've created a NetCF 3.5 OEM package, which I've added to my ATT 1.60 ROM thread. If you use it in a publicly released ROM, please thank me for its inclusion.
Cheers.
seeing problems with my oem package, will fix when I am in front of a computer.
Hello,
I hope you guys already know this, but anyway let me say once again !!.
Goto \Windows and run cgcautil.exe which would popup the version info.
On my latest cooked ROM on VOX, (thanks to Dr Martin) i have the version 3.5.7283.0 !!
The filename is cgacutil.exe
Thanks anyway, that was useful.

But note installing net cf 3.5 over net cf 2.0 doesn't produce any increase in speed.

Can anybody explain why it won't produce any speed increase if it will be installed over the older version?
Yes Pikranus ,
thanks for pointing out.
Even i do think a newer .NET CF wont speedup the OS. It may have certainly have great features for the apps written based on this new .NET CF.

As the title says, this is a WinMo 6.1 hybrid, with Vodafone ROM + Radio (both newest), Windows Live Messenger from the HTC 6.1 build and .net CF / SQL Mobile removed so that you can switch between either 2.0 or 3.5 installs at your leisure using the appropriate CAB (good for developers who are testing!)
This ROM is in a Vodafone style, but HTC Home is available for selection, and the Vodafone'ness is easily disguised!
NO OTHER CHANGES!
Aside from WLM / .net changes, the contents of this ROM are completely stock.

NOTE: You will need to flash HardSPL on your device first to flash this ROM!
Nice one, I will test.

Any other mirrors please !!!!
Uploading to another mirror now.
What are the bugs that we can expect from this ROM?
Mirror added.
Not noticed any.
Newer version:

Does any one have it?
I need it urgently
Which one? Your Smartphone/PDA probably has CF .NET 1.1 or 2.0 already in the ROM.
Run \WINDOWS\CGACUTIL.EXE , it will pop up a windows with the installed version(s) in it.
Others must be downloaded and installed from Microsoft

Hi
Does the TF3D Config work on the new Topaz (aka Diamond 2)?
Has anyone tried it?
Will it be alright to install TF3D Config into SD card instead of Device memory?
Thanks
Hi
I tried it on my Touch Diamond 2 - it always hung with an error message and quit.
Don't know if this is my phone or compatibility issue.
same here
Install NET CF 3.5 first.
It works for me.
i hv .Net CF 3.5 on my device, but still can't run TF3D config v0.6.7.
exception encountered:
NotSupportedException @ Diamond_TF3D_Config.frmMain.v()
(duplicate post removed)
i hv .Net CF 3.5 on my device, but still can't run TF3D config
Same as above here on stock Topaz rom.
To those who have it working, please list your specs so we can iron this out.
As of now, not working on Topaz STOCK ROM, even with NET 3.5.
At the risk of repeating self and others ... can confirm I have .net 3.5 installed and it doesn't work for me
For what it's worth ...
ROM 1.39.405.2
Radio 3.43.25.19

Guys, TF3D Config can't be used with the Topaz/Rhodium (even the HD with the Topaz/Rhodium Manila) cuz it only supports Manila 1.x! You have to wait until Suhilange finished TF3D Config v1.0, which IS capable of TF3D 2!
