Hi, have any of you encountered this? When I turn activesync on on my samsung i600, the display turns on every 30 seconds for 10s. I don't like it, because is distracting, and when connected through bluetooth, the battery gets depleted very fast because of diaply turning on.
ActiveSync synchronizes data every 5 minutes, so it isn't the cause.
A device is newly flashed, and it does this even if I turn off all programs.
Have it happened to anyone? Did you solve it?

Hi Guys
Sorry if this is in the wrong area ... i think its correct?
I recently upgraded(?) to XP64 pro and ever since my Blueangel keeps connecting and disconnecting when plugged into its USB cradle.
I hear the "connect" beep and see it appear in Device Manager. I then hear the "Disconnect" beep after a random (usualy short) amount of time, maybe 2/3/4 seconds and its vanished from Device Manager. A couple of seconds later it will then reconnect again..... rinse, repeat
This was working fine before the XP 64 upgrade so I can only imagine its related to that and the hardware is all OK.
(if you need/want any more details from the phone then you will need to tell me how to get them )
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
ActiveSync works fine for me under xp64 so that's not the problem. I recall having the same problem with the BA and I think doing a hard reset on the phone and clearing out the partnership on the computer to force a new partnership did the trick. I don't recall going so far as to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I can try a reset on the phone of course, certainly won't hurt! Sadly though, I don't even have Active Sync installed yet so I can't really see how it will help.
Im just trying to see the phone as a USB storage device first :?
I always found my XDA2 would keep disconnecting & reconnecting if I tried to switch it off in the cradle. Now I just leave it on and hold down the power button to turn off the backlight.
I am running mfrazzz's XM6r5 on my 8125 (AS4.5). Everything has been performing perfectly until a few days ago I noticed whenever I connect USB to my computer, Activesync fires, and then as soon as it is complete, it syncs again continuously.
I changed the registry to only sync manually, and even that did not fix the problem.
If I stop the sync it will lie idle for a few minutes, but then once it starts to sync again, the same behavior occurs.
Any ideas would be appreciated
update to issue
Just to eliminate as many variables as possible, I hard reset back to button ROM and connected to the USB cable. I had the same symptom of continual active syncs. Could this be a hardware issue - bad USB connector on my 8125? I tried a different USB cable also same result....
Help!!
same thing happens to me-I just have to keep closing it.Battery last less than a day
Hello all,
I recently received a BJII and upgraded it to WM6.1... and noticed that when the phone is connected via USB it only charges for about 2 minutes and then stops charging! ActiveSync 4.5 syncs just fine and remains connected the entire time. If I disconnect the phone and then reconnect it, it again charges for a few minutes and then stops again! Is there a reg setting for this or something? Many thanks...

So i've had this with two phones now (currently using an S10). At work I use Google Messages for Web to have my texts appear on my web browser. However, it randomly will sit there and say it can't connect or needs to reconnect. If I turn on the phone for like a little and check it, it usually reconnects fine, or If I leave the phone plugged into a charger it will also pretty much never have the issue.
Is there any simple solution for this or why for instance plugging into power would solve this? It's not like I have data disabled, it works probably most of the time with the screen off it's like it diverts power from the antenna though with the screen off and unplugged.
