notice whenever the camera engages on our magician? the back light turns brighter right?
is there a way that I/We can retain the backlight to its maximum brightness as bright as when the camera engages? like PSPs(playstation portable) brightness is at maximum whether the AC charger is on or off.. something like that... thanks alot..

there seems to be no registry tweek to enable extra brightness.
moreover i've been using this app full time from past 5 months or so, never faced any problem whatsoever. good part is you can disable it whenever you don't need it.

i am searching for a program that can turn on the led flash my asus p525 ,so i can use it as normal led light when its dark.
i have seen this program on xda stealth (if somebody can extract the program from stealth ext rom)

Is it based on the same hardware as the xda stealth?
Otherwise, do you have access to a rom update we can take apart and examine?
"Torque" light is hardware specific, even between all HTC devices, the same technique can't be used. A different manufacturer will use a different method.

latest xda-htc release was xda orbit.
i dont know if xda stealth is based on htc or asus or quanta ??

I know I sound like an ass, but there are a lot of posts on this board, every day. If you say "I know how to switch on the flash on Asus p525!", I'm not going to read it. I don't need to know how to do that.
However, if you say "Can you tell me how to switch on the flash on Asus p525?", I will read it even if I don't know, just in case there's something I can help on.
And that's the essence of it, as indicated in the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=221545][/B]board rules. We (the users) can help you more effectively if you title your concern effectively.
Anyway, back on topic:
We generally just deal with HTC hardware, but as you say, this is XDA devs, not HTC Devs.
If you know where there's a rom update file, it might be possible to reverse engineer the functionality.

Well, the flash control programs that I know of are VJCandela and VJCandelaLite. Can't remember who wrote them though.
They may well not be compatible with your hardware, but give them a go. They work on the Universal and Hermes, so you might be lucky, but as I said, if you can show me a rom file we can investigate.

could you tell me which Russian website you downloaded this from? I'd like to see if there are any option flags which can be passed to the 'torch.exe' program (the included zip file only contains the program). Handy util as it is for sure, but I'd like the option to turn it on with the lower intensity setting - just to prevent my led from burning out prematurely. AFAIK, leaving the led on at the high intensity setting for long periods of time CAN burn it out. However, if I'm wrong about this, I'd gladly like to hear from anyone (and worry about it less ).

The app can be reverse engineered very easily - just one device call.
If you get stuck with the app, it should be easy to write your own version.

hi guys
one thing that lets the hd2 down i think is the flash. its way to bright most of the time. i was wondering if there was a way to shut down 1 of the leds making the flash only half as bright?
at the moment ive just stuck a bit of tinted plastic over the inside of my phone case so the flash is covered. this works fine but i think the phone looks much nicer without a case. ive had a goods search around but cant find anything that may help so sorry if it has been said before and ive missed it.
It's not possible mate. It has been pointed out that with later ROMs (2+) the flash is a lot better. I can confirm that myself, after testing it last night when I read it. Maybe updating your ROM is not an option for you, but if it is then I'd recommend it.
oh right. i may well try this then. i need a new rom anyway as im using 1.66 at the moment and its always crashing.

Hey guys first of all thank you for clicking on this, I have not been active in long while since life has been happening but I have an issue and I have no idea where else to ask since you guys are the savviest people I know on the internet. I have a Sony camera (DSC-H300) and its an okay camera its got regular batteries (bought rechargeable) and I have no way of connecting it to a computer. My question is, is there any software that would allow me to connect it to the computer and extract the firmware to first of all look at it, Ive got no experience adjusting or modifying firmware but perhaps if the starts align ill be able to do something to allow it to stream to my computer when connected via USB or maybe a program that knows how to tap in OR is the hardware not all there to let me do that. I am planning to launch a youtube channel and having a camera with a preview on my screen on the computer and it storing directly to the computer would really speed things up. I know its a one in a million chance but I just think its silly for it not to be an option since, after all it is a camera. I appreciate all suggestions just dont tell me to buy something new because thats clearly not an option, Thanks!

Since that's a camera I don't think you'll get many answers on XDA (it can happen but that is related to your luck)
I would advice you to go on a specialised forum or some other websites that will be more likely to learn you something regarding cameras .

Apologies if i have posted on the wrong thread but i have a big problem and i’v been tearing my hair out.. i have posted before on here with few other problems few have been sorted but this ones just cropped up few weeks ago and iv messed with settings and still but getting no where so i am here for help..
I have a Chinese android headunit uis7862 6+128.. its a dual system with android 10 and switch back to original car operating system.. problem i have is the touch function on the cars operating system is not working at all.. but on the android system its working fine? Its not like there is a fault with the original operating system as i can change thru dab aux etc with steering controls and it shows on unit its changing also sat nav works as street names change as im driving and all seat functions i change on my heater control show on screen as its been changed..
So far i have changed the ribbon from android board to original multimedia unit board which is attached to back of system… i have done a reset with button under mic.. i done a firmware update with files off here 3 weeks ago abut this problem started before that..
Any one shed any light on this please as i cant set my clock without going through original system software and few other things

Thank you and sorry i dont mean to offend anyone, i was frustrated and annoyed as there is no support of the buyer and to top things up i done a factory reset on the unit to see if it would sort the problem out! But it did not but has bought me more problems The fyt centre does not delete and on top of that no matter what i have tried no launcher is working on the unit, when i try to select a launcher which has installed it comes up with a error saying it has stopped working!
This android business is new to me and im not very savvy with im happy to pay someone to sort the problems out as time is very short due to work etc.. may be if i upload a video of what the problmes are? Do yo think that would help?

Maybe. If there is a user who recognises your problem and knows a solution, he/she might help you.
For me personally, and I think most others: We have never seen such a combination and don't know anything about it. In that case a video won't help as we have no knowledge of your unit combination and how it is supposed to work.

I understand don't worry thank you.. i installed the fyt management app i want to remove it and reset the whole unit back to stock just incase thats the cause of it stopping working.. i have already done a factory reset and delete but that app stays on.. anyways i can delete it now or am i stuck with it? Thanks again
