Problems with T-Mobile Reconstructed ROM - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I wanted to revert back to original ROM of T-Mobile GER. For this I used the ROM which I found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1586817&postcount=2
The problem is that this ROM leads to no sound and a not working camera. Another ROM e.g. NoThrills_WM61_GER_V3 does not lead to any problems with sound or camera.
Has someone an idea what I can do to go back to the original ROM?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

It does not look like that rom has a radio, try flashing a compatible radio. What radio are you using currently? try this 1.27.12.11 radio, which is a WM6 radio and is probably compatible.

ROM-Version: 1.56.111.4
Radio-Version: 1.65.14.06
If I do not have the right radio which would be the correct for the T-Mobile ROM?
Thanks

Do you know where I can get this Radio? Because the Search function of the forum did not find anything when searching for this Radio version.
Thanks

Hi,
you will find many roms at:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Radio
This can be found over the Kaiser Wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
I'm using also a MDA Vario III and I'm thinking about to flash to WM6.1.
What are your experience with WM6.1?
Which ROM did you flash into your device?

Radio: v1.27.14 vs v1.27.12

I'm currently running the first Dutty ROM 1.57.00.00 with radio version 1.27.12.11.
For a US user in a 3g (HSDPA) area, what is the best radio version to upgrade to? I've noticed that .14 is in conflict with the latest Dutty ROM (w/TouchFlo Cube beta 2). Will I also have a problem with the older Dutty version ROM as well?
Also, is there a way to upgrade the radio w/o upgrading the rest of the ROM?
Thanks in advance.
fttb radio ROM v1.27.14.09 is "joined at the hip" to the AT&T XIP/RIL of their CE OS 5.2.1622 (build 18128.0.4.4) ROM. You cannot install one without installing the other. We are looking at this however.

Hmmm, is there a way to install .12 then? Is it worth the upgrade from .11?
my opinion on radio .14
The radio 1.12.14 made me really happy! After 2 months struggling to solve the issue of "kaiser freezing after a call" this Radio solved it completely!
I was even considering selling out or retun my two kaisers before this upgrade
Thanks

Yes it does. The same thing happened to me and my Tilt. So I flashed the stock HTC rom which had the older radio on, then flashed Duttys Touchflo with Cube and it works perfect. GPS, everything is running.
So what is the best radio and rom? I want to try just the Radio.

What is the RADIO in HTC 710

Hi Friends,
Today I have updated my ROM to 6.1. But still the radio version remains same (i.e: 4.1.13.41_02.88.90) and RIL is same as OLD: 2.002.
What is this RADIO is all about? AND what that that RIL too?
-- Prabhat
http://prabhatnath.blogspot.com
Dr Gonzo's New 6.1 Rom has only the OS and no radio and ril updates.
Radio is the layer that actually makes ur phone a phone
it is responsible with making and receiving calls and such stuff.
RIL is the Radio interface Layer.
Radio->RIL->OS
Radio and RIL updates were in the HTC 1.34 ROM.
I saw in the Windows Mobile 6.1 thread that you updated directly from your stock ROM to Gonzo's 6.1 ROM.
You should have flashed HTC 1.34 ROM first and then the 6.1 ROM.
or if you can find just the Radio and RIL in the forum, flash that on top of Gonzo's ROM and you'll be good to go.
Hi Thanks for your reply and explanation. Now I understood the concept: Radio | RIL | OS.
So I should have done the RIL & Radio update before 6.1 Bad luck. I was not aware of that. I think now Dr Gonzo will update the NEW build/package for the WM 6.1 soon with all fix/updates. So Can I now update my Radio and RIL before the new Update?
Also Can you advice from where I will get the Updates (i.e HTC 1.34 ROM) for update?
Thanks,
Prabhat
http://prabhatnath.blogspot.com
Please just search for it. On HTC's support page you can find the 1.34 rom.
The easyest way is if you flash that one first, and then the 6.1 rom again.

prabhat you will have to USPL the phone again to flash the HTC ROM.
so remember that.
You can update RADIO without flashing a new ROM. You don't even need to flash USPL. Just run the FLASH/RUU with the RADIO NBH in the same directory and it will update. I have found 4.1.13.47_02.98.90 to be the best.

Where did you find this Radio version and is the RIL updated with this Radio?
Roland
It was on the FTP. I can attach it if you would like. It should update RIL as it was included in a fully packaged ROM and 4.1.13.54_03.10.90 is a stand alone flash so it might not.

Using my "seat of the pants" tests, I've noticed I can hold a better signal in a low signal area with the previous radio. I don't have any real proof, just what I notice and what suits me best.
Hey "h4waii", thanks for all advice, I think the FTP is down, So can you please upload the Radio that will FLASH the Radio & RIL so that I can do that in my week end today
Note: I have updated my ROM to Dr's 6.1 yesterday. So planing to update RADIO & RIL from your files (Original that U have from HTC) before I update to 6.1a later today
Edit: Just downloaded the Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90.zip file that is updated by "h4waii".

what kind of rom do u use? official - means - original one or the one from at&t
(mine has an at&t logo)
did u try Dutty's rom?

Radio Update - need help pls

Hi all,
just bought my kaiser, i was previously using blueangel so i have some idea about how to upgrade.
since i'm new to this section and been trying to access wiki but i can't, just need someone to point me to the latest or "best radio rom" so far, a link would be much appreciated.
here's my ROM info.
ROM: 1.81.415.4 WWE (original shipped ROM)
ROM date: 10/29/07
Radio Version: 1.27.15.32
Protocol Version 22.51.88.13H
thanks guys
All depends on the ROM you decide to download too...
if your going with the newest 209 or 213 rom you need a 1.65 radio but not the 1.65.17 RADIO
Matter of opinion. I am using 1.65.14.06 and love it

There are a couple of stock radios to be found on the forum. mostly 1.27.x.x
be sure to read about HardSPL.
the thing to keep in mind about radios is that wm6 radios work w/ wm6 only and wm6.1 radios work w/wm6.1 only. if u want to keep ur stock rom (wm6) than any wm6 radio will be fine. like abov poster said make sure u get hardspl first be4 u do any flashing also be careful as there are some radios that lock u meaning once u flash it u can't change it ...
unless u r security unlocked.
being new to kaiser i would highly recommend a complete read of kaiser wiki.
peace,
sire

Help Me - Radio/ROM Question

I have an unlocked AT&T Tilt, although I am a T-Mobile subscriber. Everything is working, except I hate the ROM that came with the phone when I bought it...I think it's a DCS rom. Anyway, I don't understand the whole thing about Radios... I would like to try Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700 ROM, but I don't think I have the right version of the Radio? Here's what my device information screen says:
ROM version: DCSv1.7-WM6.1 WWE
ROM date: 02/19/08
Radio version: 1.70.OliNex
Protocol version: 25.65.30.04H
I have checked and HardSPL is installed, but I don't see anything about my radio being compatible. Can I use Dutty's Rom? HELP!!
TIA!

A radio is the driver to some of the hardware, camera/GPS/sound etc. Usually each ROM lists atleast one compatable radio. Some ROM's flash a radio with the ROM.
If you install a ROM and it doesn't work, just use the suggested radio (or search the ROM thread, there will be suggestions in there, I'm sure) and flash that in the same way you flashed the ROM.

Dave
I see. So the radio version listed in my device information is just the version of the radio "driver" software. Thank you for your help, I think I understand now.

I'd try a new radio, I've not heard of 1.7.OliNex before.
OliNex == OliPro + cmonex, but I think that's thier polaris radio, not a kaiser one, and I have never seen anyone with it on a kaiser.
I found one post on google, someone had it on a kaiser and was having problems.

That radio is used to SIM / CID unlock your phone. You must use that radio to run Olipro's SIM / CID unlock process. It's a modified radio.

Dutty actually has two version of this ROM. One that works w/ different versions of radios. Check the Ultimate Radio Thread to see which one works with which one or check Dutty's thread concerning that specific ROM.

Don't you usually have to flash another radio after the SIM/CID unlocking ones to make your phone work again? That's the case with Jocky's anyhow?

I bought the phone unlocked like this about two months ago and it's been working (aside from some notification queue problems), so I guess not!
I think the Dutty rom includes a compatible radio, so I'm just gonna try flashing it and see what happens. I can always flash a new radio separately, right?
