No sound for Known Caller in WM 6.1 - Palm Treo 750

Hi
I got this weired problem with WM6.1 in my Treo750, Its not giving any sound for Known Caller, when I try to choose one from ring tones under Ring type for Phone:Known Caller is like Alarm, Alarm Flute etc. which was suppose to be Ring, Increase ring, Ring Once, Non.
If I try to change sound for any other like Missed call or Unknown caller then I am able to get that Ring, Increase ring, Ring Once and none but after I chose it doesnt save the detail. When I go back to the Ring type again it goes to Alarm, Alarm Flute only.
Does anybody have any idea why its acting like this or any solutions?
Thanks

For my Troe with WM6.1, I've got the different problem.
At Sounds & Notification > Phone : Know Caller > Ring Type
It show many ringtones in the handset like in Ring Tone, not the options for Ring, Increase ring, Ring Once and none
If anyone know how to solve this problem, please kindly advise me.
Many Thanks.

I had the same issue
What I did was to select a different option first.
Such as Reminders or Active Sync.
Then I would go back and select Phone: Known Caller
The field then would not be greyed out and select Ring Type: Ring
and Select Ring Tone: "Your Choice"
This worked for me the 2 times I reloaded 6.1

This works for me but when i go back the ring tone is greyed our again. When a know caller calls the it only works once then i have to reset it again. I'm continuing to search for a solution. I'm not keen on having to go back to stock rogers 6.0

beginner's point of view
if u have downloaded ur 6.1 wm version from xda-developers
I think the problem is in the 6.1 "edited" version, when u remove the AT&T from the xda file.
if u've done that try to hard reset (or replace the edited file with the original one if u packed it before), and not remove at&t ringtone from the xda file.
hope i know what i am talking about here !!!!

Call resopnse lag

Hey I have a small problem with my Fuze. Why is it that the phone will flash the light around the D-Pad before it starts to play my ringtone? Is anyone else having this problem? I want my phone to immediately start ringing when receiving a phone call instead of getting the flashes first. I miss many calls because by the time my phone actually plays my ringtone, it'll have gone by about 3 or 4 rings from the caller. Any help is appreciated.
change dialpad to win 6.1 default
change ringtone to a .wav file
That will speed it it up by 3-4 sec. You will never get rid of all the lag though. sorry
I think theres a setting without DiamondTweak that enables you to disable the delay between the call be recieved and the ring or vibrrate initiating. Check it out here:

Unfortunately that only changes the delay between the first ring and consecutive rings, not the initial delay before the first ring.
Thanks, it made a enough of a difference that it is no longer a nuisance.

Ringggggg. then Vibrate & Ring

There used to be a setting :
Increasing Ring, then Vibrate and Ring. This was done on 1
custom ROM for the Universal , like 4 years ago.
Does anyone have tips on how to get our device to :
Ringggg...then Vibrate & Ring, or even better
Increasing Ring, then Vibrate and Ring.
Not sure if this is it but.....
GOTO> Settings 'tab'
MENU (bottom right in taskbar)
All Settings
Sounds and Notifications
Notifications
Then it's the (familiar) 'Ring Type' drop down with the traditional windows options (no idea if it works/over-rides though)
It's not enabled per default
This menu doesn't have those options, they have to be created
by someone who knows what he/she is doing.
I've seen this hack before, but can't find it.
How does one hack the possible ringtone variations to inlude
inicreasing ring, then vibrate and ring ?
Lucid, have you find the way how to set the ring type you were looking for?
Thanks

[Q] Treo 750 and WM 6.5 Issues

I loaded WM6.5 ROM on my Treo 750.
Everything is great except one issue...
... I cannot set the Incoming Call Ring Tone.
When I go into the options of the phone, it is set to "none".
I set it to "Vibrate and Ring", then set a ring tone.
When I save/exit, it reverts back to "none".
I tried mid ring tones, wma, and mp3.
I tried ring tone only and vibrate only also...
... But no matter what I set it to, it keeps reverting back to none.
It WILL NOT ring or vibrate on incoming calls.
The SMS, Voice Mail, Missed Call, and email notifications all work fine.
ANY Help would be great!
Thanks
try first to change the other sounds , like unknown caller , and so , and then return to change the known caller...

Thank You for the reply!
There is no problem saving the settings in the Sound Notifications settings.
While on the dialer(Phone) screen, I cick Menu, then Options. This takes me right to the Phone Options page where I can set the folowing 3 options:
(1) Ring Type (Ring, Ring and Vibrate, Just Vibrate)
(2) Ring Tone
(3) Keypad Tone
While the Ring Type is set to "None", the Ring Tone box is grayed out.
I change the Ring Type to "Ring", I can then select a Ring Tone.
The only field that WILL NOT save is the Ring Type.
The Ring Tone still has the Ring Tone I selected in the box.
But the Ring Type keeps reverting back to "None".
But I did as you said (in sound notification settings)...
I changed the Unknown Caller tone. Then returned and changed the Known Caller tone.
This had no affect on the incoming call ring.
Still would not vibrate or ring.
