Hello.
I installed Battery Pack Pro on my Vox (Windows Mobile 6.1 v1.1) but I cannot use it. It doesn't show on my home screen. The homescreen stays the same (sliding panel).
Anyway, I want to remove it now. When I go to "remove programs" I get an message "Battery Pack Pro was not completely removed. Do you wan to remove it from the list of installed programs?".
I select Yes but its still there (when I start my Vox, until it "heats up" I see the battery pack screen) and it also causes some buttons not to work.
Is there some app that will remove it, and remove it good?
Thanks.

I upgraded to 2.01a_WWE32. And have some problems
1. Why don`t my screen turn off when I hold POWER button?
2. How can I change splash image, because I changed it in old 2003se, and now when rebooting it appears two images, my old one and standart blue WINOWS MOBILE?
3. How can I remove battery icon at the top bar? This Icon is not produced by plugins or somethin else. And when I set option to display clocks it messes with battery icon and looks strange.
tnx
hi all.
in \windows\ I have an executable called keylocktray.exe
when I run it an icon appears in my task tray on the today screen but nothing happens.
anyone know what it's for - except for locking the keys, and why it does nothing.
i'm just interested.
wm5 - imate rom 2.16.9.1 wwe.
phone is a wizard.
what's that task tray for anyway? only tomtom seems to use it and since you need to go to start-today to access it anyway, isn't it easier just to click start-tomtom?
Hi eayuwna!
Actually the tray is used by many programs, but I guess you don't have the ones in question.
It acts pretty much like the tray in desktop windows (the icons next to the clock).
Have you tried clicking on the icon that appears there?
On my jamin (prophet) for example, the tray is used by the comm manager and the battery meeter. That way I can access power manager and comm manager from today screen without them taking up space in the start menu.
Keep in mind that start menu only lets you have 7 items in it. That's why there are programs like VJTrayLaunch (www.vijay555.com) that let you put icons in the tray to launch apps directly from today screen.
ok
ok. that's new to wm5 I think? is it?
I suppose if you have your device default to the today screen after inactivity then it's useful.
I do have comm manager there too but the wizard has a hard key for it so I rarely use the icon.
when I click the icon concerned it changes to a keyboard symbol with a padlock and a line thru but all the hardware keys still work. can someone else give it a try to see if it does anything on other phones?
incidentally, speaking of the battery icon, my old Qtek ROM used to have the cool green version. Since upgrading to the imate ROM I now only have the crappy windows one (actually I have wisbar).
Is there an executable I can get off someone with a QTek one that will give me my good taskbar battery meter back?
***EDIT***
Scratch that; I've just looked through the windows folder some more and found Powertray.exe. Copy this as a shortcut to \windows\startup to get it back.
The tray icon for Keylocktray.exe toggles the option for turning on the backlight using any hardware button. I love functionality but want to enable it always and remove the tray icon. Can anyone give me pointers on how to do this.
Hi,
yesterday evening I've found a new problem: when I close any apps using the "X" button in the right top, the Diamond freeze and I must reset it, instead if I can close the apps using the Exit voice from the internal menu, the app close correctly.
I've got the same problem if I try to open the application management menu that appears only in the home (with the list of open apps and the 3 icons). I click on the "little arrow" in the right top and the Diamond freeze.
If I go to Start -> Settings -> System and then i click "Managed Programs" the Diamond reset.
I think is a problem of Windows Mobile.
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanx
i just started using quickmenu and i love it execpt the origional start menu softbutton is still there albet partially covered is there a way to remove it so only the quick menue icon is there
There is an option at the preferences of Quickmenu that allows you to put it's logo (Q) at the taskbar & move it everywhere you want. If I remember well this option is at the first tab of Quickmenu options.-
What i used to do was, turn off the Q icon. There is a setting that replaces the use of windows start menu.
So short press of start uses quickmenu, long press of start uses original windows menu....best of both worlds yes
Hi
I have a two questions...
1 In my previous phones I use WM 6.1 and 6.5 with start button and quick program list and ram usage on top, now I have start button on bottom and I don't know how turn on program list and ram usage (normaly was on top in right corner)
2 Sometimes i use MemMaind, and in previous roms i have 2 options on bottom bar "Tools" and "Settings" now I have "Jump To" and "Tools" (show the same options :/), and i can't set that program (registner etc.)
How repair this function, or without reflashing rom back to old Start place and rest places?

Your version of windows does not play well with the task manager.
You have to hit it in just the right spot or the secondary menu will appear.
I am not able to remove the clock from the taskbar but have managed to make it analog with the enclosed cab. Just install to memory.
I gave up on the task manager and run QuickMenu instead which is a dropdown start menu that has a built in task manager.
