Android Herotab M10 Preview/Review

Ok Everyone Find Below our Preview/Review for the Android Herotab M10 Tablet PC.
There is a lot of users out there with these tablets already but I have not been able to find any real development for these unless I'm missing something. If there is a ROM made for these already and a Recovery option that has been proven to work please, please let me know.
Now if there is a demand of 50 or more Users Linux Box Solutions will start development and customization on this tablet to hopefully bring to the community a fully working Upgradable ROM that can work with most versions of the Herotab M10's. I do believe there is a couple versions, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Welcome to galaxy 3 -- Read me first/ FAQ/ New User Guide/ General Help

GALAXY 3 (I5800/I5801) FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION, TROUBLESHOOTING, GENERAL HELP !!!
IF YOU ARE NEW TO XDA AND/OR TO THE DEVICE, OR NEED A GOOD PLACE TO START OFF WITH, OR WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SOME REALLY BASIC STUFF RELATED TO THE DEVICE, YOU MUST READ THE FOLLOWING POST(S). OTHERWISE, ASKING FOR HELP IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER SUB-FORA, WILL ONLY MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH AT YOU. MUST READ ON !!!
So, recently there has really been lots of mess created over the XDA forums due to careless behaviour of some newbies and disregarding of the rules and guidelines by many. So, as a part of the initaitive by the moderators, and contributors, this thread is being published.
FIRST THING FIRST, THIS IS ONLY FOR GALAXY 3 (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH GALAXY S3)!!
ANY OF THE STEPS FROM THE LINKED GUIDES/FORA, IF NOT FOLLOWED CORRECTLY MAY HARM/DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE, FOR WHICH THE XDA/DEVS/MEMBERS ARE NOT RESBONSIBLE IN ANY WAY.

Guidelines
Some general guidelines (not rulles!) to follow -
1. Dont post in the wrong forum. Any development thread goes to development section. Any stuff related to themes, apps, games, shares general mods etc, go to themes and apps section. Any query, obviously, shall go to q&a section. Rest go to general.
2. Searching is key to a happy life on XDA . Never post without searching. If you are sure that what you want is not there on WHOLE of XDA, then post it.
3. Refrain from making posts like "thank you dev/ great work man/ thank you/ good luck/ best wishes" in development threads. Keep the development threads as clean as possible.
4. Questions will not be entertained in the development thread.
5. ETA (Estimated time of arrival) will not be entertained in any development thread. Asking again and again will not make it better, but may make it worse.
6. If you post in threads without following the above guidelines, you are actually putting yourself and others in trouble.
7. Use the
Thanks button to thank the dev/member, dont write it as a post.
SOME BASIC STUFF RELATED TO GALAXY 3, WORTH KNOWING BEFORE DOING ANYTHING TO YOUR PHONE !!
ROOTING -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DEFINITION - Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem.
As Android was derived from the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device is similar in practice to accessing administrative permissions on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OSX.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROCESS - Android 2.1 (Eclair) - Use the app Z4Root from market
Android 2.2 (Froyo) - Link
Android 2.3/4.0/4.1/++ (Gingerbread/Ice cream sandwich/Jelly Bean) - No need, if you are on one of these, you are already rooted.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BUT WHY TO ROOT ?? - Link
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FLASHING -
1. STOCK ROMS can only be flashed via ODIN. For a guide on how to use ODING, head HERE
LINK : TO GUIDE ON HOW TO USE ODIN FOR FLASHING STOCK/CUSTOM ROMS/KERNELS !
2. CUSTOM ROMS can be flashed either via ODIN or via CWM Recovery (Once you have it - see 2nd post) depending on the type of the file provided by the dev. .tar files need ODIN. update.zip files can be flashed via CWM.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STOCK AND CUSTOM ROMS -
For any stock ROM (2.1/2.2) go to LINK

[Q] How to move on with building android from source?

Hello, first of all, forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum section; I'm sorta new here, and this is my first topic.
Second of all, I'm not an experienced android programmer and I'm also a teenager, so sorry if I sound like a noob; dont expect me to know all that you guys suggest. Also I have some basic experience with Java coding. (sorry if this is all off-topic but just giving a heads-up and letting you know so that you can maybe change your answers a bit so I can understand)
But ANYWAY, what I'm trying to do this for is to eventually port cyanogenmod to my device.
I currently cannot post links because I'm new here; look up "building android from source", and it should say "Getting Started: building android from source" at the fifth link from the top (xda-university).
I'm stuck at "installing repo and syncing".
What url should I put in "URL to android manifest"? (And yes, I am using Terminal in an Ubuntu VM) And now that I think of it, it should be some link of cyanogenmod but my device isn't supported; no repository for my phone. Correct me if I'm wrong. If it helps, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G (SCH-R820).
Again, sorry if I sound like such a noob, it's probably because I am.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Sorry, just found out I was in the wrong forum section, can someone delete this thread or show me how to do so? thanks...

Are u kidding Me? Go back and re-read ur post, let alone the fact u posted in the completely wrong section, ur post is ludacris, 1) The released image from Google named "L" is a "DEVELOPER PREVIEW" meaning not for daily use, it even states in the warning message printed on the site that not everything works! 2)Google released this so DEVELOPERS can have a look at the new architecture and structure of the new OS, this release has over 5k new APIs devs need to get used to, a completely new runtime that replaced dalvik, meaning ALL those apps that are not ART compatible WILL NOT work on the new OS and need to be rewritten. This PREVIEW release wasn't so that every Nexus 5/7 owner could get an update before everyone else, it was aimed at getting DEVS a first look and feel at the new APIs and runtime so they could be ready with apps and scripts supporting the new OS when it's released IN Fall. 3) To answer ur questions on why some apps don't work, because they probably are not art compatible, what u need to do is go back to 4.4.4, an actual release, and wait for "L" to be officially released, and here's my official answer and suggestions, DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT PREVIEW IMAGES, L IS NOT A FINISHED RELEASE, WILL HAVE BUGS, AND DOES NOT SUPPORT ALL CURRENT APPS AND APIs, IF U WANT A COMPLETE AND STABLE OS, GO BACK TO KITKAT.
In the future, only post actual development in the Development sections.
Also, your discussion should just continue in the existing thread referenced here:

[CLOSED] Modified LMSA Motorola/Lenovo to hack phones

I am asking this question to put it out there to see if this has been in anyone's mind as something possible to do. Do we have any folks smart enough that can modify/edit the checks in the software that keep the software from rolling back or even installing custom roms on our Motorola/Lenovo devices? Remove the checks that check for updates and online and whether its a correct or updated so that it will blindly attempt to put on whatever you throw in the Rom directory at your own risk. I now its a risk but some people just need a tool like this. possible/not possible are there any smart folks out there that have or desire to do this? I would be willing to donate to the cause... anyone else?
