Hi,
I've got a HTC Tytn 2 bought in the netherlands and it's shipped rom version 1.56.404.6 and radio version 1.27.1.32
I've searched and tried 3 different roms:
Ruu_Signed_Duttys_WM6.1_Hybrid_1.64.08.21__RTM_
Ruu_Signed_Duttys_WM6.1_5.2.19700_Hybrid_V2_1_65.14.06_CubeV2_
NoThrills_WM61_NLD_V3.exe
They all give error [262]
I've disabled the windows firewall.
Did a clean XP install and activesync 4.5
None works.
Anyone can point me in the right direction? as i'm new here.
ps. what mean these terms?
Cube, No_Cube, Lite and Hybrid?
Thanks

And like stated above this post for the love of God, Allah, Flying Spaghetti Monster, or whoever HardSPL first.

How is it blurry? There's a huge link with nice big red letters in that sticky that even a pile of freshly shaven wool covered in alfredo sauce would know addresses your question:
ROM Upgrading Wiki (top three links below) <--- Want a new ROM? Don't know what a ROM is? Start here with this 6 step guide.
I can only assume that by blurry you mean you read his response without your glasses and therefore the text wasn't in focus. Otherwise, I have to worry about wool being sentient and taking over the world.

I hate to say this but I never had to ask how to flash a ROM to my TytnII (AT&T Tilt). Every question on flashing ROMs has been answered time and time again. It doesn't matter what phone (Pocket PC, Smart phone, or other), you need to unlock it before you can change the OS, built-in OEM software, or the entire ROM on the device. You will only be able to update the device with the manufacturer's or cellphone comany's software updates if you do not unlock the phone.
As for updating to WM6.1, there is no update method that I know of. You will have to flash an entire 6.1 ROM to your phone. If your cell phone company releases an "update" to 6.1, it will most likely be a complete ROM and not an update like they might say.
Due to European law, most all phones are unlocked for use on different networks. That does not mean you can just flash any ROM to your phone, it still has to be software unlocked.
HINT: look up "HardSPL" or use the XDA-Wiki link at the top of your screen.

for your sake i sure hope you flashed hardspl onto your tilt before deciding to flash a rom .. If you did make sure you read the information relevant to your phone and the procedure you were atempting than you are not in too much trouble. All you probably need to do is make sure your phone is synced to the pc and give the flash another shot.
If however you were feeling lazy and didn't bother reading any of the instructions and just flashed the rom after downloading it off of the thread than my friend you are royally screwed. I don't know what to tell you to do next if you didn't flash hardspl first as i don't know (nor hope to) the consequences for not doing that. You need to get in touch with the senior members (be nice in your request) like gsleon3 and see if they can help you solve your issue.
good luck
Yes i got it. Thanks guys. Actually i didn't do the hardspl. Now one last question- Which is best ROM by Dutty? and what is the difference between a cube and a non cube version?

best rom is a matter of opinion, try a few see what you like, personally i don't like dutty's roms, i prefer a fully loaded multimedia gaming rom like movile vista 1.3, and as far as your CUBE question search

Please clear this thing....i can't understand.
Please, oh please....don't do another thing to that phone until you have read GWENI. People here have broken a lot of devices and compiled an unbelievable amount of information so that newcomers won't have to make the same destructive mistakes or ask the same old tired questions. It is oh so very frustrating to contribute this work just so somebody can drop in and deftly avoid all of these attempts at shoving information into them. Everybody is being very nice and calm while doing what we call spoonfeeding you. Show that you respect and appreciate the patience by using the resources that the members here have worked so diligently on providing. Trust me, it is time well spent and will keep you from making one of the many mistakes out there that will render your device the most expensive paperweight you own.
Remember, we have forums, threads, Wikis, and stickies. The purpose of all of these is to share our knowledge. Do not walk through this forest blindfolded or you'll find yourself sitting on your backside picking bark out of your teeth.

However others have brought up a good point, if you mean FM radio. You won't find one either. It doesn't work.

Ah, Ok, I meant to say unlocked version with the Telsa logo. Mine is fully unlocked with no carrier's attached but if it works in USA, who cares right! Very nice!!
damn! this is cool!
now there is a option for HSPA setting!!
Economy Mode (up to 3.6 Mbps)
and
Turbo Mode (up to 7.2Mbps)
thats great news!
is the original ROM available to reflash it, if needed?
I haven't found anything yet.

also, i think about selling the device, and i am not sure potential buyers would be happy with a beta rom
About to flash mine now!
The official I-Mate Rom update is scheduled for mid-August. I hope they get the video drivers sorted properly (I hear this update makes little difference to video performance).
I bet the Flame users are excited aboutt he SDHC support. Hopefully some clever person will be able to use our ROM to help them out.

imate 9502 original rom ?
hey guy s any one have the original rom i need to go back on 6.0 wm goes my phone is defective and i can t shipped to imate with 6.1 telstra firmware i m in canada thanks
It would be very nice to have the original ROM, as I-Mate does not provide it... I had the same problem with my device and now it's dead (Ok, It was already dead before, with all its problems)...
Isbrasil, have you tried switching to maintenance mode and reflash it?
Been trying to get used to flashing from SD card but can't seem to find a Stock ROM that is suitable. They all seem to come as exe files. I found a good list of reconstructed 6.0 ROMs but can't find any 6.1 ones.
Does this mean everyone flashes to Stock via USB first? Or am I missing something ?
I would like to know this too!
I pulled the nbh from the exe on at&ts website but when I tried flashing from my sd card it only changed my spl and radio back to stock but not the rom.
try to unrar .exe file with winrar

Just thought maybe I shouldn't be keeping recommended radio when I reflash ROM? Is it best to reflash original radio first too or doesn't it make any difference?

No I'm not. Maybe I am going blind but all I see is your link to the AT&T stripped rom but I'm looking for HTC - as I said I've got a UK Orange TytnII which from what I've read says it should be flashed with HTC stock. How dare you jump in here with that attack. I really object to this. Where have I been impolite? Have you read my OP?
For the record I not only read the instructions. I devour them! Then I learnt them parrot fashion before I began. I have been a lurker round here for years but only started flashing last week. And for the last several weeks I have been trawling through literally thousands of posts to be sure of getting it right.
Now please show me on those instruction pages where it tells you how you can find a stock HTC ROM without radio that can be flashed from an SD card!
ai6908 kindly referred me to his page where there is only a link to a stripped AT&T stock rom and to TCP's page where there is no mention either. I was also asking if it was necessary to reflash the same radio every time as none of the instructions mention if you have the radio you need already. Still not had an answer on this so maybe it's just a stupid question - just wish I knew the answer lol.
Thankfully more helpful souls than you have provided me with the file I need. Thanks again F1ip and Pisca.
Some of you people on here can be arrogant so and so's. I belong to many forums and have never come across anything like it. Look at all the space you wasted flaming me and now me having to defend myself! No wonder the kids on here post the way they do if this is the example they get set by senior members. I would wager well over half the posts on this forum are pointless flaming. And just ask yourself how many questions are really new and have not already been answered by someone somewhere here. And look how much space would have been saved if you hadn't butted in here on your high horse without reading my question properly .
Rant over.

Stock ROM is the same, it doesnt matter much for it being HTC or AT&T. Base ROM is the same on both of them.
Actually in my opinion, you dont even need to flash to stock ROM. I never flash stock ROM when I flash, and I flash about 10 times a day sometimes.
Sometimes occational hard reset might help. So in my opinion, just flash to any ROM, and do a hard reset after flash and when it prompts for screen alignment. That should solve all your flash issues.

Interesting, thanks. Certainly would save time not having to go through the whole rigmarole every time. That's one of the main reasons I was asking about the cut-down roms. As least I wouldn't have to keep doing the radio as well. Now whether with my lack of experience I should be going against what the 6.5 chefs seem to all be advising ....... .
On the other hand I may never flash again since TCP's latest seems to tick all my boxes. But having summoned up the courage to get going in the first place and it opens up a whole new lease of life for your phone, you kinda get a bit hooked. So maybe when I find one where MotoHome runs fast and smooth on my old Kaiser ........

Apologies accepted . As you might be abe able to tell, the flaming that goes on verywhere around here really gets to me and you certainly hit a nerve. I sometimes wonder if I've wandered onto some Fight Club site by mistake lol .
Yes I do know the exe files can be uncompressed but the radio is still in the nbh file - and one guy who tried using the nbz file on its own said it flashed the radio part ok but not the rom itself .
What I will do is delve a little more into what makes up the unzipped nbh file. Might be a good way to start getting into this kitchen stuff .
Hey all, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a few days in all boards relating to WP7.8, etc.
I really do hesitate when I make this thread, because I know a lot of other people have already asked how to do this,
HOWEVER! I can't seem to pull together all of the information I need- the trail seems to go cold after a while,
I have an HTC Arrive (Gold C) on Sprint, With Mango & SPL 4.3
What I am trying to do is get to a point where I can install a 7.8 custom ROM, or simply, I'm trying to get HSPL (which, if I'm correct, requires me to downgrade to NoDo?)
After reading, it looks like the solution to my problem is to use Ansar's NoDo RUU for the Arrive, then, use the Dark Forces Team HSPL Loader to load HSPL onto my Arrive, and then finally, install a ROM like leadpoizon's Custom 7.8 ROM.
I'm pretty tech savvy, but as far as mobile devices go, the hardest thing I've ever had to do was jailbreak a few iPods, and install CFWs on PSPs.
I will openly admit, just putting this information together has been a confusing painus in the anus for me.
My problem is thus - I haven't been able to do any of this because Ansar's NoDo RUU (and, as it would seem, the rest of his RapidShare files) are all down because his bandwidth on RS ran out.
Does anybody have a copy of the NoDo RUU for the Arrive that they'd be willing to upload?
I'd be suuuper appreciative...
Thanks for your time and patience with my utter-noobliness.
I'll be sure to make a proper introductory post later, but I've got work and I'm out of time.

Hello and welcome.
Click the link in the first post of this thread and it is the 4th down, Gold C Sprint WWE 1.25 RELEASE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427907
Don't forget to delete the RUU_signed file before downgrading!
Also, you must install RSPL, then HSPL, then the custom ROM. I am using the LEAD rom and its working great!
Good luck

Thanks so much, for the welcome and for your help!
That's exactly what I've been looking for, I never checked out that link because the thread was titled with Gold, not Arrive, GoldC, etc...
I hope this thread helps someone like me out!
EDIT:
Where does the RUU installer place all of the files? o.o
Nevermind, got it! Everything works great on leadpoizon's ROM, aside from the HTC Hub tile, which I didn't care for to start with.
Thanks again.

HTC Arrive
I, too, am having the same problem as the original poster. Except now, the link to the thread we are being sent to is now not working. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Does this process also work for the HTC Pro7 T7576? This is the GSM version of the device where the Arrive is the CDMA one.

I never updated the software of htc, it's the same when I bought it, I am not a very expert..... I am opened to all new ideas....
This device is at least six years old. The download links to rom's are all over the x7510 forum section. I can help, but after years of cooking rom's and stuff I have packed up all my files. If you need something you will have to be more specific.
There is the official htc rom (6.1 i think, check the forums) and there are also a lot of cooked roms. My rom is 6.5, its also available here. If you want to put a custom rom on, remember to "unlock" (Hard-SPL) the device first.
Windows mobile is dead. I just use this device as GPS at the moment. Its a very good device. Just wish windows mobile 6.x+ ect. was still alive. Windows 7/8 mobile is very noob and for stupid people. I have left and gone to android, at least one can cook a bit easier there...
Also, ...there is no need to quote my reply, since you post directly under my post.

kind friend, thank you for your kind attention. I'm not very expert about updates, roms, etc.. actually use the 7510 only as navigator and I would like to just have a good navigator updated, possibly free. would be possible?
