I installed Duttys Rom 6.1 and when I try to input the unlock code the ok option is missing on the screen. Does anyone know of a solution to this without having to downgrade the ROM? I searched over an hour with no solution.
Try Dutty's thread.. ..that's what their for..
Also the your problem isn't realy clear, a bit to cryptic if you ask me
I can input the unlock code but when it comes to press the ok on the screen its not there. I tried searching Duttys threads but I couldn't find anything on this issue.

Which unlock code? You mean your device password?
If what's missing is the 'OK' key, why not try the 'OK' button?
No its the unlock code so I can use it with Tmobile. The device wont let me use the ok button under the end call. The screen shows emergency call under the bottom left corner and its missing the ok option under the bottom right corner.

Ah.. getting closer to a clear description but I'm afraid I can't help with TMobile codes 'cause I'm not on TMobile and I know nothing about having to enter codes for a carrier.
Actually i have the same problem, also using Dutty 6.1 rom. It says "checking for simlock, please wait" and displays a textfield to input emergency number. Waiting doesn't help
OK, sounds like it might be ROM related then... I'd go post in the right thread... AFTER you've searched the forums thogh... I'm pretty sure I've seen this before somewhere.

The problem is that Duty's ROM is WM6.1 and you need to downgrade to WM 6.0
Note for WM6.1 users

well, i have searched the forums perhaps i did not use the right keywords did nto find anything
so here it goes..
how can i disable the click the menu to unlock the screen and just when i press the back button the pattern appears instead of havign to press menu and then do the pattern just do the pattern yes im lazy and it gets annoying x_x havign to press menu and then the pattern i rather just do the pattern and be in the home screen faster so if is possible how?

i always turn the screen on by pressing menu rather than back or power. gets me straight to the unlock code

I just flashed my HTC Touch Pro with the latest generic HTC ROM (5.05.405.1 WWE, 03/04/09, radio version 1.11.25.01, protocol version 52.58.25.30U) with the aid of a friend as I'm new to the whole flashing bit, and now I can't lock my screen. Long press end key now just flashes the screen black for a second then goes back to being unlocked. The same thing happens if I configure long press end to pop up a list, and then select lock from there.

Thanks for the suggestion, and it's definitely not a bad workaround... I was just hoping that someone would have a fix so I can quickly lock it with the button again.
I had the same problem. You can use Spb Mobile Shell. It has a part program name 'Lock Device'
Me too with the new ROM.
But I noticed it after I installed lots of software.
However, if I disable the TF3D and enable the device lock from setting>today, I still able to lock the device from the screen.
Wonder is it:
1) Problem with TF3D in new ROM
2) Software incompatibility causing "long press end key" unable to lock
I use search for the keylock but can't find.
Any genius to help out? Thanx...
Same problem here. With the new ROM it's not locking anymore as it was first possible. I dont want to use another software, this should work!

It is just a windows mobile setting:
Start -> Settings -> System -> Key lock -> do not lock keys (or something like that, I have a dutch phone).
Make sure you have a good locking solution, like TouchLockPro, because your phone will awake regularly when the keys are pressed.

Then, unfortunately I can't find these options on my phone (in the latest three different ROMs I've tried these options are no more in the settings, one 6.1 and two 6.5 ROMs).
Some times ago I've found a post with a registry hack to obtain that result.

Actually here is the easier way. Install this control panel app, to control the key lock. Its made by HTC, and has been included on their devices for a looong time now. But I do believe certain OEM's/Carriers remove this for some unknown reason.

I'm trying to do the opposite...I'm trying to disable all keys wake up...but that registry entry and HTC key lock app doesnt work for my HD2.

And I would have no idea why it doesn't work on the HD2??

Confirmed, loaded the Key Lock cab, reset phone.
Start>Settings>All Settings>System>Key Lock -
elected <Lock all buttons except for power button>
Reset the Phone
Phone can still be powered back on by any hardware button
Would appreciate any assistance.

What device are you using? As far as I know this should work on most if not all HTC Winmo devices.

It is an HD2. Several people have advised that Key Lock does not work with HD2.
I just downloaded and installed the ROM update(1.48.409) and SD card, Calendar view, SMS function, and digital Picture enchantment hotfixes.
The problem is that my Lock screen/slide to unlock screen is now gone.
I can press any of the physical buttons, and my device turns on.
This is very annoying when I have the device in my pocket.
Could anyone tell me how to get the Slide to unlock screen back?

You could have first searched the forums, saved yourself a post, and not created ANOTHER redundant thread, but here's what you do...
Go to the start menu, select lock (bottom left softkey).
It works after you do that.
Incidentally, if you ever have it that you press an email preview in the email tab, and it doesn't open the email, this is the same problem. The fix applies to both issues.

So, basically, the suggestion from above works?
U can just tap on start, that on lock (bottom left). From now on your phone lock will work again (and also opening e-mails from preview).

Then where the taps on the bottom that have home,people,sms is called?
Top where the battery life and signal is called?
when the phone is locked ans you slide is called????
Im wanting to change where it says phone and Menu to something that looks better ive seen one where in between it has a htc logo or windows... where can i find that cab to change that???
Also i hate that when its locked the slide to unlock is ontop, i want it on the bottom and a different way to unlock it???
