The title says it all, I'm looking for a program that would be reliable and would simply do the job. All I need it to do, is stream divx/xvid movies directly to my PPC.
My desktop is running Vista 32-bit.
I've tried using ORB, simply didn't work.
I've tried using WebGuide, it does work sometimes, more often it doesn't.
Any solution?

Has anyone got this to work. I have tried umpteen .ram files, but it refuses to play any of them. I am using Version 1.1, but have also tried 1.0.
Problem is that real one player says 'Connecting' Then 'Loading' then after a pause of about 10 secs it reports 'Error: response or data from server timed out'.
It does this every time with *all* streams. There is no problem with the connection, no ports are blocked, everything other than real player works file. Additionally the very same .ram files play fine from a laptop that is connected via the same wifi AP. I.e it aint my setup, it something in the Blue Angel or the real player prog its-self.
Any idea's?? Stuff for WMP9 works fine, but the bbc insists on using real player.

I have exactly the same with my MDA II on bbc.co.uk (other stations work fine) so it's probably a BBC specific issue.

Can you post a link to a ram file that works for you?? I have tried loads of (non BBC) RAM files and none of em work!

I have the same problem on a MDA II with WM2003SE 2.06
I wasn't able to play any .ram file that I found. Windows Media Streams and shoutcast streams are working fine...
I tried a few stations from this site, don't really remember which ones :?

Yeah, there are several PPC -> PC remote controllers; both fully-fledged ones (TSC etc.) and multimedia-only ones (see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/awards/category_WandF_2006.asp?catid=41#RemoteMediaController ).

Hi. Is there any software for my O2 Atom Pure that will allow me to present Powerpoint presentations on my Laptop with Bluetooth through my O2 Atom Pure? OK, I need help streaming video on my tilt. I installed Dutty’s latest rom, the touch v 1 or what ever. Great rom. However, I cant seem to get streaming video to work. Its kind of like it tried to download the files instead of opening them. Everytime I click on a link in order (when using .asx mode) it says “a file with the name already exists, do you want to replace it? Yes or no”. I hit yes, and it launches a program called TCPMP. Now, 1 day ago, I had streaming working. Streaming took place in duttys customer windows media player using port 80. the problem with this new program is it doesn’t let you select a port, and as soon as it launches it gives the error “file not found! –web \mydocuments\stream.wmwebasx” Anyone have any Idea how I can get streaming video working again on my tilt?
I even tried realplayer, and that doesn’t work either. .3gp goes to HTC’s streaming program, but again, that doesn’t work either. Im really at a loss

I use xda live and have installed tcpmp for streaming purposes myself. I use it with orb and it works perfect. You just need to make sure you have all the codecs. and supposedly it works better with tcpmp .72 version not .81..not sure which dutty used.

Im surprised more people wouldnt want to control these functions with their pocket pc so is there any updated software out there that can do it with wmp11 (vista/win7)?

HI guys can you help me with problem.
I can see all my photos and movies on my phone via dlna on WIndows 7,
and i can play and pause it right on the phone, I can use my phone as a remote,
all works well.
But I cant find the same thing for OSX,
i can only share files from my Imac, i cant use it just as a screen like on a PC.
Does anyone know how can i solve this mystery?

Well first off, are you running any DLNA or UPnP app on your Mac? You'll need one. Some good examples are Playback, Rivet, Plex, Connect360.
I'm not too familiar with the Sensation, but does it include or have a DLNA client built in?
