kitchen is where you can cook up your OWN rom. The Iron Chefs from up above provide you with the great tools and you use them.
the term means a custom rom cooked by one of our chefs but not packed to the flashable format. So...just before flashing, you may have a peek at it and add or remove few programs/applications

I am new to cooking roms.
I have a few questions:
I would like to cook a custom rom for my T-Mobile MDA Compact III also know as the HTC P300/Artemis.
I use the following kitchen: Hypercore Kitchen
Can I use the files provided in this topic(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544445) or do I need to have a already cooked rom? If yes does it have to be a 6.5 rom?
And is there a step by step guide for cooking roms?
