Help with Today screen PLease - General Topics

Can anyone please help -?
I want to move the SPB today menu below the HTC today screen?
I’ve tried moving it in the today settings menu but the option to move down is not available- nor am I able to move the HTC screen up?
am I just missing something simple? Any advise please……

Another tweak if you don't want to use HTC Home customizer just to move the HTC Home up or down in your today items. A simple regedit will do the trick and it will be unpinned. You can then make it appear inside any SpB programs.
Before changing the reg value you should unselect Home plugin as a Today item, and then select it again after editing registry.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Home
and change the value of "Type" from 5 to 4. And that's it.
The plugin can be moved to any place in Today.
I found this after a search in about 60 seconds

hey, thanks for your help! managed to sort it by editing registry

HTC Touch Pro Today Screen Issue

Hey all. I am having issues with my today screen on my HTC Touch Pro with Windows Mobile 6.1. I am uanble to change the Wallpaper at all. It is stuck on a Blue wallpaper. I have tried setting it from The today screen theme changer and from My Pictures but selecting the "Set as Today Screen Wallpaper" Option. The Wallpaper will not change. I am extremely frustrated with this. I have only had this phone for 5 days. Please help.
NOTE: I am Using SPB Mobile Shell V 2.1.1 Build 3507 for all my shortcuts. But my issue is with the Actual windows Mobile 6 Today Screen.
Change Wallpaper on Touch Pro
You need to go to the touch 3D settings.. its on the scroll touch bar after weather and internet etc. Thats where you change the wallpaper. I did a hard reset before figuring it out. Good luck!!
you can't change wallpapers while it's controlled by your theme file. in TF3D you can change the format of the plugin itself by inside configuration, as ninfem posted.. but if you want to change the today screen background you will have to find a tsk that doesn't contain a wallpaper
RE:Change Wallpaper on Touch Pro
This has nothing to do with TF3D I am not even using TouchFlo. See notes under original Post. I am using SPB Mobile Shell 2.4 . And I did fix it. I had to download the Registry editing tool and deleting the Fixed wallpaper Registry key. Do not remember the exact string but all is well now. Thanks for trying.

Hi can you please tell me how you fixed it. i am having the same problem
my email is [email protected]
HTC Touch Pro Today Screen Issue: Fixed
I had to download the Windows Mobile Registry Editor. Found here http://freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml and I searched for Wallpaper. It had an Embedded Wallpaper. I deleted the Registry key for the Embedded wallpaper and have not had a problem with it since. It has been months ago Since I did it so I can't tell you anymore than that but all you need is PHM Registry Editor. GOOD LUCK!
having the same issue. Deleting the registry key, turning off touch flo, and soft resetting at least 3 times now. Won't go away. Stuck on some stupid blue background I can't get it to go away.
solution for touch flo users
I know the original poster is not using touch flo (see regisry hack). For those of you using touch flo I did the following which worked for all of the themes. I unchecked use this picture as the background, under start settings today. Closed that window and from the main touch flo screen (home) I scrolled to the right and selected settings (looks like a gear) and then wallpaper. Select the wallpaper of your choice and it shows up. No soft reset or registry hacks necessary. Not very intuitive but it worked.
I'm having the same problem. Can't get rid of the background image in the Today screen (when mobile is in locked mode) and the background image in Settings > All settings.
I've installed PHM Registry Editor, but I don't really have the skills to fix it. Please let us know in this thread if anyone figure it out.
Can't really understand why this problem happens.
Weird! Now the normal Today background image is back. Can't understand why. This smart phone is smarter than me...
Still, the settings background is not the right image.
i have one of my photos saved as my backround wallpaper, i have deleted this picture, but it is still my backround and i cant change it. the only thing i have loaded is an analog fire clock (had to do a soft reset) what do i do, please help.
Resolution.
Peace of cake
HTC Touch Pro 2,
Settings, All settings - Press "Today"
Use any theme and any picture you want HOWEVER,
Under Items tab, YOU MUST CHECK "HTC SENSE" Press ok, you are set.
If you don't check this you get a blank wall paper or the other things you may have checked only. Really simple! :-D But yes I had to figure it out

How to point to a folder instead of program in Start menu?

HI
When one clicks the Start Menu/button in TF3D, a page with programs will open up instead of the WM start menu drop down.
My question is how does one assign one of the buttons to point to open a folder (eg Games Folder) instead of a program?
Thanks for reading and your help

Thanks
Exactly what I was looking for. All is done manually but it didn't take so much time.
Thanks for your help.....
Will try it out....
Another thing - anyway to turn off the TF3D start menu and reactivate the standard WM dropdown start menu?
Thanks
I am not sure to understand exactly what you want.
If you want to unload tf3d please go in setup => personal => today => then in element unselect TouchFlo3D.
My Rom is in french so I am not sure about the translation. I attached some screenshot : it will be easier
he does not want to disable touchflo3d, when he goes to the touchflo3d startmenu he wants to assign one of the buttons there to open a map(out of the box you can only open programs in the start menu of touchflo3d))

It's easy
- Open your registry editor;
- HKLM - Software - HTC - EnlargeMenu - EnableManilaStartMenu (Change "1" to "0")
- Soft reset...
That's it No need to install any .cab or smthing...
Yes, it will be great if we can have both where Start menu still can be active w/ drop menu and the Windows key button still can be a short cut to program short cut menu.
Anyway to get both of this together since the Diamond2 tf3d menu does not have Program SHORT CUT menu but using the windows start function.
Is there any way to keep the WIndows button as the Program shortcut key & the WIndows Start menu as Drop-down menu.
If I change the value from 1 to 0, the program shortcut function under window button does not work anymore/
Pls help

Remapping softkeys in TouchFlo 3D

Apologies if there's already a thread about this; it seems like there should be, but I couldn't find one.
Anyway: I recently upgraded from a Kaiser to a Touch Pro (AT&T branded Fuze), and while I like the TouchFlow 3D interface in general, I'd like to remap some of the softkeys do do different things.
For example, I use O3Touch as a contact manager (http://www.o3touch.com/screenshots.html), so I'd like to have the "contacts" softkey on the home page, and the "all people" softkey on the people tab to point to that instead of to the default contact manager. I never use the calendar, so I want to use the "calendar" softkey on the home tab for something else.
I can't find any obvious config files, reg settings or apps that can remap softkeys within the TouchFlo interface. Can anyone help?
download and install total commander and navigate to \\Plugins\registry\HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila and change HomeLSKPath, HomeLSKText, HomeRSKPath, and HomeRSKText to what you want. You can only change the softkeys on the home tab though.
Thanks!
That does exactly what I want.
Thanks!
That does exactly what I want.

Sorry to ask here, can't find with search.
Is there a possibility to remap right softkey in order to turn on/off wlan.
It would be useful.
Maybe just putting the link to "Windows/Comm manager" or something more
direct?
EDIT:
No problem I found solution

HTC Touch Pro Touchflo 3D programs tab HELP!!

i have a problem, i cant get extra program icons in the program section, phone came with 18, and i got a PHM registry editor from freewarepocketpc.net and tried going to hkey ect. and adding more tabs.
the boxes with a plus for adding tabs are there, but every time i try to add program, the plus stays there and in the registry it shows the program with correct path already there, but the actual icon isnt there and it takes me to "add program" screen every time i push any icon (that stays with a plus) after the 18th one.
does anyone know how to add program icons that will work???
