[Pre-Release Discussion] Tilt XDA Live 2.0 - using at&t 3.51 Rom Base - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Okay, I know I said that v1.5 would be the final incarnation of Tilt XDA Live WM6 Rom and I'm standing by that.
What has changed is that I've decided to make a WM6.1 XDA Live Rom!
This Rom is intended for Tilt Owners who want a light version of the Tilt WM6.1 ROM. The default Keyboard will be CWSLayout (Tilt), you are free to change it.
The Base ROM is at&t 3.51.502.0(AKU 1.0.2) Windows Mobile 6.1 Rom.
It will include the first at&t WM6.1 Radio (1.65.14.06) you are free to change to any WM6.1 Compatable Radio.
It will be debranded cosmetically
I have purchased a second Tilt to dedicate to this project.
Current List of goals:
Registry Tweaks:
* Disable Security Warning for Unsigned Apps & Cabs
* SDK Certificates have been installed
* TCP-IP Tweaks
* Enable GPS Data in Photo Data

* Long Press of RED End Key locks device
* Glyph (GDI/Font) Cache set to Large

* Button 6 & Button 6 (Hold) defined
* Button 6 assigned to Comm Manager
* Hold Button 6 assigned to Record
* Camera.exe replaced with a “No Camera Message.exe”.

Feedback I'm looking for...
I don't want a list of Apps that you think I should add to it. That's why I'm implimenting UC Support, so you can make this Rom exactly what you want.
If you see something in the base Rom that's not on my list tell me and please be as spefici as possible, point out a post with recommended files/Reg Tweaks etc.
If you want to play with the base, here is a MegaUpload Link.
I've added UC Support and only removed the config.txt file that I needed to replace for it.
I then packaged the OS with Radio 1.65.14.06 (the earlier Cingular WM6.1 Radio). No splash screen or SPL.
Note: it is Rom Chef Friendly meaning that I haven't stripped out any of the files that are needed to cleanly deconstruct this Rom.

anything is good. Just not the new radio unless you are SuperCID unlocked. All joking aside, I'm looking forward to anything. I'm game.

Looks great Kyphur!
"Clean" ROMS are my favorite so I very much look forward to this. I can't see tweaks missing just yet, but I will let you know if I see something.
Thanks and I look forward to flashing to this (would be the first flash for me in months!!!!).

Sounds good to me. WM6.1 is the shizzle.
Going to take a look at your Base and see how its going.

Will you produce the kitchen packages that contain the various items you have stripped out? Or should we use those that Alex has for his 5.2 version? The only reason i ask, is that I expect there are certain older versions of the removed apps that wont work with WM6.1., but are present in Alex's packages.
Other than that, I did not see "remove threaded SMS", so I can safely assume that will be IN - currently using dutty apr16, too many apps there, but I love the threaded SMS.
Time to learn UC and download all my required cabs I guess!

I'm going to compare Version Numbers and anything new will be built into Cab Files so you can install anything that is removed.
Personally I like the Threaded SMS and KaiserTweak is easily capable of disabling it.
Eventually even MS VoiceCommand will be stripped out and converted into a Cab File but for WAREZ avoidance I can't do that until an Official WM 6.1 Rom actually ships with MSVC integrated (but until then I'm not removing the package from the Rom. This is one of those gray areas where we have to watch our step.

Is quick Menu needed? I agree with the 'All Out and install what you want' method, so isn't that just extra?
That's the only additional thing I'd remove.

Since this is an AT&T based ROM please make sure you make the APN/RIL XML provisioning changes I posted so that us BBC users can have simultaneous BBC & MediaNet connections. They XML modification settings can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384242
Once again, I look forward to the release!
Where on earth you find the time to bake roms while serving us all as a moderator trying to keep the boards clean & orderly is beyond me my friend, but I am certain glad you manage to squeeze it all in!
Thank You!

I'm down, love your ROMs and would welcome a 6.1 rom. Thank you!!!

Hey Kyph,
Out of curiosity, which of the two 1.65 radios are you using? The one in the complete package or the one in the secondary test.nbh?
Oh another thing, I'd beef up the PP a bit. Don't go crazy, but a nice 16mb version seems to be pretty snappy.
I'd also like to see the rgu's left in & the 3.5 fixed version of netcf that MS released in Feb. I also like seeing GPSTest in there, it really helps giving the GPS a kick start & seems to me it works better in rom.
Also, are you planning on using a dialer similar to retouched? I like those better than the big display type as it's buttons are slightly bigger.
Also, get rid of SimToolKit STK junk. & I'm sure you'll make sure it's app. unlocked from the start, right?
I like the really clean ones & I spend my $$$ on good apps, so no need for clear temp or CE explore or registry editors.
Also, what about HTC Home? It definitely works better in ROM, seems screen rotation, etc. is better if it's cooked in.
If you need a hand with anything, any testing or customized (Kyphurized) icons, folder icons, etc. Let me know!

I tried to edit the PP earlier on this ROM but was unable to do so. Are you able to have any luck with it?

You build it we will flash...........
After looking at the list of what's removed.....what's left?
Anyways, I personally prefer clean Romz over loaded....Thanks again, can't wait

Haven't even looked at that yet. PagePool will be towards the end of the list (once most of the other stuff is done).

Everyone seems to prefer a different dialer, personally I rarely use the buttons (love VC) and prefer the clean look of the WM Dialer. This is something that is easy for each to install especially now that I'm supporting UC.

The version of HTC Home in this Rom seems to be messing with my volume settings, there have been times when I pick up the phone and all sounds are muted. If I disable HTC Home the problem disappears.

I've never really skinned one of my Roms but I have been playing with Cooking this one to a Black Theme by default, I just might take you up on this offer.

Kyphur, great to see you're working on a 6.1 ROM.
If you are able to change the PP, try using Quentin's work on q-mobile 1.2:
32MB Page Pool, 8192 File System Cache, 32768 File System Filter Cache, 131072 GDI/Font Cache.
Although I like clean ROMs, I also like everything basic to "work out of the box". And 6.1 ROMs seem to have weird anomallies that are beyond my meager skill, but I am confident that you will make it function. One TINY annoyance that a XDA DEV might know something about comes with the changing of the ringer to vibrate or ring. I use long endkey press to make the switch, but often the ringer is set at 0 while the sound goes back to normal. It would be convenient to have the ringer set to a predetermined volume to avoid this. If easily achieved
I also like the battery indicator that Confused Stu uses, VistaHide Battery meter (at top of screen) in mobile vista 1.3.
I only ask for this since I don't know where to find it, but hey... at least I'm willing to admit it.
Thanks for your efforts and letting us have a say in how you cook your ROM. You rock Kyphur!

I'd leave htc home for people to UC. I like the tweaked hermes version myself so that I can easily customize the weather db by zip code and such.

Packed-Pandora "Fully-Loaded" Rom

First of all, I'd like to acknowledge the excellent job that mattk_r and nottoosmart did in creating the base Pandora rom and kitchen on which this work is based.
I imported their stuff into my Rom-Packer kitchen, made a few minor tweaks, compressed a few packages, and wanted to see how much I could get into a single build. I was pleased to find that I could get in everything I wanted (and a bit more!).
My target audience here are folks who just want a rom that does it all, and quickly. This is in the style of Faira's roms, in that it is packed full. It has all the base WM6 apps: Transcriber, Enterprise, Entertainment, WindowsLive, WindowsLive Search, Office 2007 (includes Onenote Mobile), VoIP, SqlCeMobile, MediaOS (Windows Media Player), Camera. I have left out/removed error reporting, autoupdate, and sqm. All of which make no sense for a custom rom, and are in my opinion accidents waiting to happen. Catalog I left out just because its a shopping portal, and I imagine you can just visit on the web if you want.
3rd party apps:
Adobe Reader LE, ArcSoft MMS, Notepad, Today Agenda, Battery Status, HTC X Button 1.0, PHM Registry Editor, PIM Backup 1.9, Pocket RAR, Shut XP, Redial, SMS Backup, Task Manager, Total Commander, WM5torage
I also threw in the newly released HTC Audio Manager, which is a very nice audio player.
There are two versions:
One with Voice Speed Dial, One with MS Voice Command.
Registry tweaks:
Thin scrollbar, disabled security, 802.11g, increased ring tone, edge icon, keyboard icon. I also enabled increased file and glyph caches, as for me these help performance noticeably, and there is plenty of ram.
Speaking of ram, I get 29.93 mb free on reboot of the VC version. I imagine it may be a tad higher for the SD version. If you don't like a particular app, just don't use it. It's not taking up any of your storage space anyway! If you want a few more mb of ram, you can disable the file cache settings manually, but I don't think its worth it personally.
Issues:
This rom is based on mUn's latest release, which still has some issues to be worked out, mainly Flash Player and A2DP, but check on the Pandora or mUn rom threads for tweaks and fixes for these as they become available.
Edit: I am advised by mattk_r that a2dp may work. Let me know. (I don't use it.)
For those that need these features now, Faria or Core-based roms currently work. If people are interested in "Packed" versions of those, let me know. Or cook your own!
This is an OS only flash.

Have fun!
going to try it now, looks good, thanks for posting it
It Looks Nice bro
I will try it and get back
Thanks
Seems pretty fast, I only had 27.16MB of ram free with nothing extra installed or running, not even activesync.
Everything seems great except the GPS icon tweak isn't preset and there aren't any extra themes (Black) added already.
None of them are big deals since they can be fixed, but just saying for a "fully-Loaded" Rom, they less tweaking needed after the fact, the better.
Thanks for the comment. If you have a bundle or link that you'd recommend let us know. Or post a cab for people to install.
I could put some more stuff in the Voice Speed Dial version, but the Voice Command version is close to the edge. So to keep the features the same, I'll probably just leave them as is for now. Down the road as my "Packer" becomes more sophisticated, I may be able to squeeze more in, but for now this is about the state of the art.
I don't know why your ram numbers are different. Mine were higher. Still, 28 meg should be plenty to work with I think.
I'm afraid there will be some tweaking to be expected. We are creating things that aren't perfect. I appreciate your help.
Best wishes,
a little error with voice dailing with headset
Nice Rom, surely a fast one but
when tried to dial with the voicedailer thru my bt headset nothing happened...
i getting used with the fact that voicedailing gives problems with some roms but this one is easily to handle:
From HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "\Windows\btagext.dll" (string)
To HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "OEMAGW.dll" (string)
and it works....
still a nice rom....
Loaded it this morning cleanly. As others have said it is nice and quick. My old ROM had been in for all of four weeks so it was time for a change
I had some issues with AS on first sync. My favorites and most of my ring tones didn't come across even though it showed Synchronized. I re-synced and all came across bar my tsk files and the notes. With the notes, I have two copies of each. One is the original from the PC sync along with another pre-fixed "Changed copy of" in the filename. Never seen this before.
It does seem fully loaded with one small omission : the Wireless Today plug-in. Ill find it and add it in but perhaps this could be considered for a future up-issue. A small quibble and easy to fix.
Downloading now...
Hello!! Im just downloading your ROM, i look just like what i install all over when i hard reset my device so i will give it a try. However i thing there is another PDF reader out there that many claim is faster and lighter, i dont remember the name. I will look out for it and spread out the word.
I have some questions:
Does this ROM has has the Camera v3.0?
Does this ROM has the bluetooth explorer enabled and working?
How much is the battey consuption and idle processor 4% ?
Best regards !!
Thanks pdamol for the fix.
Tpalik, yeah, unfortunately activesync acts up at times with reflashing. I don't think its this rom. I have a whole hocus-pocus routine I go through now to avoid duplicate entries when changing roms. I've had thousands of notifications, and thousands of contacts before, which really made me panic. Hope you didn't have too many notes to delete.
In the future, try deleting the sych relationship from both your PC and the mobile device before reflashing. Then re-synching, adding only one category at a time, and watching carefully to see that each time the additional category is actually synched. Thats helped me.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.
Hope you both enjoy the rom!

Yes, pdaXplore is out there, but there are mixed reviews about whether it is actually lighter on resources when running. (It is a slightly smaller .exe) So, I went with the standard, since I could fit it in. If you like the other one you could install it too.
I think it is Camera 3
Not sure about the bluetooth explorer.
Idle processor is 0-2% with occasional bounces as the system does something or other. Battery life should be good.

GPRSStallworkaround: Not sure, but there's a registry editor included so you can put it in yourself if needed.
G4: Yes, its safe. Read up on how to do it if you haven't done it already though.
Smartskey: No, I don't use it, but if you want it just load it in yourself. It's a really small program. BatteryStatus, which is included, does overclocking on its own.
10 button: yes
voip: yes
Take care,
Does your packed ROM include the GPS application and Icon?
ROM looks very good and I would like to try but need the GPS and a lot of ROMs don't include it.

Hi, No it doesn't. I'm not sure why not. If I find it I'll put it in the next update. (Along with the other fixes people suggest.) Having said that, I have no problem connecting with my GPS over bluetooth and TomTom is happy. I've read that app has been impossible to get to work properly, and most of the GPS folks avoid it. If you have problems getting going with the current set-up and want how I do it let me know.

I just flashed with this ROM and my device has frozen 2 or 3 times also it has a little trouble with the voice dialer, when in press the voice activation button it says that it cant start the assigned app.
Strange. I will fix it by myself. but i dont like to fix recently flashed ROMS.
Hi charly_mx,
Sorry for your trouble. Try a hard reset (if you haven't loaded too much in already). Or a soft reset if you have. (Using the pinhole.) I'm using the voice command version, and haven't had any problems with freezing. Is it a particular app? We could see if others are having trouble with it as well. If you post the fix for the voice dial activation I'll make sure it gets corrected in the next version.
Thanks,

I just got it!!! Look.
The Voice Speed Dial is bad assigned in the button config. Instead of being assigned on the second option of the button 4, it must be assigned in the first assignement (for a single key press activation). The second assignment of the button 4 is meant to be the "press and hold" function. Thats why it wasnt working with a single key press. Its just a slight config option.
Best regards.!!

[UPDATED: [08/09/07] Jaguar 3.1

Updated to 3.1:
In this build I removed the BatteryStatus due to Tray issues causing phone to freeze on 3rd screen boot. I have included at the bottom of this post a cab for a known working version of BatteryStatus. Thanks Cing 8125. Also, I disabled the Ext rom for those of you out there that do not have it. At the bottom of the post you will find a cab to enable the ext rom. All you have to do is run the cab then soft reset. Again, there are 2 versions of this rom, one for T-Mobile users and one for Cingular users.
Updated with new application versions and removed some from the build too. My biggest accomplishment is the ArcSoftMMS 4.2. Yes 4.2, Text messaging and MMS are seperate again. WOOHOO!!!! And the folders are there too for mms without cab requirement.

in your NTS Vanilla rom you have a diff os build.
"1) OS version: 5.2.968 (build 17217.0.0.0)"
and ive also seen an even newer build of 1413 on here too.
What's pagepool in that baby?
Should be 6mb. I dont change those things

Well, the reason i chose this build is because it has been stated that this is the official from M$. Im not sure though since i dont work for them and I just use what works for me. Ill try and play around with the 1413 build.

thanks for checking out the later build! as i have said previously your roms are the best! i hate this rom that i have loaded from last night. when i get home im going back to either your vanilla or this one. not sure which. your vanilla rom was stable as hell for me!
Hello not TOO SMART, I think you should drop the not from your name, I am currently using this rom I switched from you vanilla version and I have two questions about this rom
1: Is there a way to shave some time off the boot up time, it takes approx. 2m 15s to get to the passwaord screen from pressing the softreset button
2: Is there a way to separate the SMS/MMS folder into two independent folders
the MMS and SMS were combined in all later versions of the ARCSOFT MMS COMPOSER. unfortunately from my experience you can not seperate them. i may be wrong though.

no, you are right, i tried everything possible. Arcsoft embedds itself into the sms software built into m$ mobile at this time. no known way to seperate them.
As for shaving time off the boot up, I dont have that issue. mine boots very fast. what do you have installed on your today screen?

Tilt XDA-Live v 1.0 (Release: Nov 13, 2007)

XDA Live has come to the Tilt....
This ROM is based on the not yet released at&t (AKU 0.4.4) Rom.
It includes the new at&t Radio (1.27.14.09) which IS REQUIRED.
It has been debranded cosmetically, this is intended for Tilt Owners who what a light version of the Tilt ROM.
at&t MediaNet & WAP Data Connections are defined by default.
You will find to following removed:
* MS Office Mobile
* Cyberon Voice Dialer
* WM6 Default Games
* at&t PTT (Push To Talk) Support
* Quick GPS
* jbed Java
* RealPlayer
* Acrobat Reader
* Zip
* Sprite Backup
* at&t Dialer
* HTC TaskManager (X-Button)
* ALL at&t bloatware
(there are a few other things also, will keep updating the list.)
On a fresh configuration (hard reset), I have 160.07 mb of free storage memory out of 162.18 total!
Everything that has been removed can be added back via cabs (see post #2)
I have shut off the Security Warning for unsigned apps & cabs.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Have Hard SPL on your Phone.
2. Read about and Understand the risks of Flashing Roms to your phone.
3. Understand that this Rom is currently in the development cycle. I plan for a new point version (v1.0, v1.1, v1.2 etc) to be released each Wednesday until it is at a point where this is no longer neccessary or feasible. So back-up your personal data preferably using either your PC (Outlook for PIM) or an Exchange Server as there have been reports that some PIM backups from other roms can cause problems (such as the SOD).
4. Report your experiences here.
KNOWN ISSUES:
* After initial configuration you must reset the device once for the at&t keyboard layout to be effective (Fixed for v1.1!).
* Opps, I removed the sound files for the keyboard slide! I'll get them in for the next point release.
All download links will be in post #2. I have both RapidShare and MegaUpload links. I ask that you don't mirror the files simply because I want to be sure you are getting files that are known to be good by me.

Any chance of getting the worldcard software from the HTC rom into this?
also: how is MS voice command 1.6 working with it?
what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
this is a lite rom.. dl the worldcard software cab which is posted in this forum. voice command works just fine.
idfk what a unladen swallow is

World Card Reader can be installed. I'm not going to cook in additional Apps but am still open to cutting any thing extra that might still be there.
Fixes are up for consideration though so feel free to submit them. All I ask is provide a link, registry setting or something instead of saysing "That PIE fix"...
the "mommy" file is still in My voices dir. Trivial I know...
OK -- I took the plunge .. I will report back once I get my tomtom, goodlink and other must-haves re-installed.

Ya, what tomtom are you using (I am using that Taster one that works with dutty Hybrid No. 4 ROM/Tilt). I remember where the tomtom/Hermes users would flash half of the time tomtom would not register (something about a code changing due to the ROM flash). Now that I have tomtom I do not believe I could live without it (and it's only been a day since using it).
Fast Fast Fast
O.K.
Flashed this ROM,and even after installing most of the cabs, this puppy is FAST FAST FAST,(compared to the ATT stock ROM) .
Just a note to Kyphur-suhweeeeet ROM , and I don't even need the PTT cab, the PTT to Speed Voice Dial cab I made (with credit to Deathace) works awesome.
Thanks again,
Alemaker

ahh, that's something i missed, will add a similar app although i truly hate total commander.
I loaded this ROM last night. So far so good.
I think I will change the boot screen though. The first one looks like it's "twitching". I'm sure it's something you're trying to do to make it look like a cloud, but seeing the screen do that makes me think the electronics are being hurt. Not literally, moer a figurative feeling. I feel sorry for them
Anyway, I'll let you know if I find any functional issues.

hmm..i just checked my esmertec package, and the .jad files are showing associated to it. i will work on this bug fix as well as adding a few apps, still not ready for v1.0 yet, but i will be releasing a 0.9b probably today. and also a .cab file containing the fixes for those who don't want to reflash.
however, for now if u open esmertec java (programs>accessories>esmertec java) then hit menu>install>local files it will find the .jad files for you and can be installed as normal then.
edit: located problem, the shell extensions for .jar and .jad files were pointing to the incorrect .exe, will be fixed and update done today
0.9b update added

today i get some time to try your rom, looks great at first moment
i will check for bugs and report if i see something wrong.
thanks!
btw, the best list of apps that i already see!
for me the only think that i need to install in separeted was live messenger, because my contacts are sync by there. but i know that is not everybody who like live stuff
new link added for 0.9b, available for download
It looks good !
Change ROm
I have a Wizard 9100 G3, already unlocked CID and SIM, with another 6.1 ROm running.
If I want to change to another ROM, am I supposed to flash again the oficial ROM or can I just flash the new one on top of the actual ?
Thanks
you can flash up to your atual.
but the recomended its flash you operator rom first to don't have any problem.
_________-
My feedback:
XS: i try very hard your rom, and my bigest problem was with batterystatus and quickmenu.
Both app in every rom that i already beta test, or realy test cause problem!
batterystatus some times after softreset and he desapear from today screen.
and quick menu some time don't substitute windows start,background stay white, and some settings change just realy work after
you set off, set on, set off, set on a lot of times.
i try now the 9.0b direct rom (not using upgrade cab)
and look a little better, i stop to have problens with batterystatus, and quickmenu only don't show the "today background" for default theme.
only i post here?
more feedback:
-you can upgrade slick for .42 version, its work better with new improvements.
-my battery is drain a little fast (one day without use 0.o), maybe you forget some tweak.
-some shortcutes are twice in some places (wktask and equilizer are in "programs", "settings" and "settings\system")
-remove "connections" folder in \windows\start menu
-enable cleartype in landscape mode
This would be the perfect ROM if only it included PIM backup. HTC home bothers me but that is easily deactivated. I will be using this rom for now instead of TNT's 19199 release.
i have been using this rom for a week now and it is quite fast and works great, havent tried out the bluetooth since dont really use that feature. But all in all i like it, going to install the upgrade and see how that goes.

[ROM] esperOS 28205 [6.5, Native Kernel, Lite, 101, Eng]

ftp://burtcom.com/esperOS/
--slow home server, so be patient. Also, it might be better to use a FTP client (like FileZilla) to download instead. Use logon anonymous with your email as password.
-----------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: OK I didn't cook it properly, which may explain why some apps, notably Office apps, would just quit. I just uploaded a version with no recmoding, and using Modules instead of Files -- so it should be more stable.
UPDATE: with ahmedfikry doing a fine job with the 235XX branch, I decided to stick with the 282XX series, so here's a new build of 28205, with the native kernel. Still includes include XDA_UC -- for info see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692
-----------------------------------------------------------
esperOS is meant to be a tight, no-frills lite ROM suitable for those using SPB Mobile Shell, or those who just want us much RAM as possible to install your own cabs.
It is also brand-free, there is no 'esperOS' in the startup screens. I want it to look like a stock HTC ROM.
Please refrain from asking for additions, unless you can make a case that it is essential for phone operation
As for the stuff that's there, let me know if you find a newer version that can be cooked in -- I tried to keep all the HTC goodies.
Please report bugs.
Includes Office 10, NetCF 3.5, Widgets engine (but no widgets, install your own), Chome, DRM
Apps:
Accessories folder: Bluetooth Explorer, File Explorer, Notes, Tasks
Connections folder: Dopod SIM Manager

Thanks for the ROM. Exactly the kind I am looking for.
I flashed it, but noticed that selection in Contacts list takes a press of around 2 seconds. Same thing in all other lists.
But buttons in the bottom bar (Windows, OK, X etc.) react instantly. So do Start menu list and CHome screen items.
[Update: The problem in my case was TouchFLO scrolling was enabled. I don't know if I enabled it accidentally or if it is the ROM default. Fixed by disabling it using Advanced Configuration tool.]

Hi,
Happy new Year
Burtcom i try your new rom today, what about the sleep and death problem?
What is new on the new build 28205 ?
The long-press is for some screens is a "feature" for 6.5 -- I think they did this to facilitate finger-presses, but I agree it's too long.
To be honest, I use SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 with this ROM, so I use SPBs contacts, etc, which do not suffer this problem.
As for switching themes, I just did it and it worked fine. (though it took a few seconds)

Found a fix for my long press problem -- TouchFLO scrolling was enabled. Works normally after I disabled it. I am not sure if I enabled it or if it is the ROM default.
Switching themes works for me too. So no issues there for me. @lunicell should give it another try
Thanks a lot for a clean, HTC-like ROM.
Nice and Fast...
I was looking for a fast 6.5 ROM that I could use with Mobile Shell...this works great!!
The only part I cant get to work is the Themes color changes for the Icon Bar. It always stays black :-(

Fix to the Touch Response Problem
I love that the esperos ROMs are very light, but I just can't stand the touch responsiveness in the Microsoft programs (file explorer, etc.). I installed a Kaiser Drivers CAB from TPC's CAB Downloads and it helped a bit. You can try it out if you want.
For some odd reason after installing this ROM I get constant vibration if I receive a text. I even flashed the stock ROM before flashing this ROM. I'd like to run SPBMS on this ROM and install Cabs to my liking but first I'd like to get rid of the constant vibration. The only way I can get it to stop vibrating is by turning the phone off or doing a soft reset.

No problems here
I just flashed my wifes and mine with this ROM. In fact I reverted back to an official ATT ROM first, then flashed to this ROM. I am running radio 1.71.09.01 too w/o any issues.
I tested the incoming sms, and just a single vibration- as it was setup to do.
The only issue I have is with SPB Software and Themes. I cant get the icon Bar to ever change from Black
Great ROM!!
Running:
Radio: 1.71.09.01
ROM: esperOS 28205
SW: SPB Shell 3.5, SP Keyboard, Kaiser Drivers CAB from TPC's CAB Downloads
You were absolutely correct... wrong radio. I didn't realize that the pkg I was downloading to re-flash the stock ROM included a different radio with the ROM. I had the 1.7 radio before and when I flashed back to stock it went to a 1.2 radio. I should have checked that...
Just as a side note... I've had no sleep of death issues at all!
