Calendar - HTC Vox

Today I wanted to create a new appointment and once again I was upset because I could not set a category to the appointment. Does anyone know a way to implement categories into the built-in calendar or does someone know another calendar-application which supports categories?
Is the problem that the calendar supports vcs instead of ics ?

I use SBSH Papyrus and it does have categories for appointments.

this one seems to be really nice. Some freeware competitors? I really like it (trial) but i really don't like to pay at the moment because i am not sure i will really need it that much it is necessary to buy software.

Profile Switching, Calendar and time based

Hey, I'm looking for a program that will switch between Profiles (Silent/Vibrate/Normal/+user defined ones) automatically based on defined times AND on my calendar entries (also differently depending on the calendar entry)
I used to have Photo Contacts PRO, which did all of the above (and more it also had an automatic SMS reply option, and the profile could have exceptions for certain numbers)
Photo Contacts PRO seems to have stopped working with 6.1 (Gonzo) so /shrug
So my questions are:
1. Is it possible to get Photo Contacts working on 6.1 or
2. Is there a program out there that does a similar job with Profiles? I don't really use the Photo Contacts part of Photo Contacts PRO, just the awesome profile part
Any hints/Tips etc welcome
and the answer is CTscheduler
It accesses my calendar for timing as well? I read through the description and couldn't find that bit.
Tried installing it on my VOX and when I select the program it just gives me the "busy" circle quick, then doesn't do anything else... (same as Photocontacts actually) is something missing/setup wrong? (WM 6.1)
You may want to try AutoFlight. It does have these features.
Ok Autoflight works, but I don't really feel like rewriting all my appointments for the autoprofiles bit to work. (photocontacts just accepts ANY entry in the calender and not specially prepared ones
SPB Phone Suite (Don't know if it works for Smart Phones as well)

Calendar appointments

Hey everyone....
Does anyone know if we can get the calendar app. on the Fuze to show upcoming appointments like a week in advance? Mine will not show the appointments in the calendar tab until the day it happens. I HAVE SEARCHED The FORUMS ALREADY and could no find the answer, so please if you know it I would appreciate it....or If you can please point me to the right thread I would appreciate it as well as I cant find the answer on my own.
Thanks for the help.
many of us have tried to make Touchflo show more appts, however, its not possible at this time. your best option, if you need this, is to disable touchflo, and download some other homescreen app (ie, spb diary, etc)
And while on the subject of the Fuze calendar, I noticed today that appointments without a start/end time (all day appointments) do NOT show up in the monthly view as little icons on the display.
This is REALLY annoying, as I use glancing at the monthly display to determine if I'm available on a given day for work (I'm a freelancer).
Is there a solution, aside from editing all my all day appointments to give them a start and end time?
Is there another, better calendar program that someone can recommend?

I've been using Pocket Informant for a few years and I can't operate without it...
www.pocketinformant.com:)
Thanks for the reply. That looks like a LOT more features than I need, but it's an intersting app.
Can you confirm that an all-day appointment with no set start or end time made on Outlook on the dsktop shows on the Fuze display with pocketinformant?
After further investigation (I'm new to Outlook, having used Palm Desktop for a decade or so), it seems that in Outlook if you enter an all day event, you must also mark the event/day as "BUSY" instead of the default "FREE", and then a "something is happening this day" icon shows up in the Fuze calendar monthly view.
SBSH Calendar Touch
assign it to a (left) softkey
this is something that is still really bothering me, and i know that there are alternatives, but i personally love tf3d, so i was thinking, is it possible to have a calendar tab that shows your next 5-6 appointments? i know that there is a calendar tab floating around, but it just shows you a month calendar. if there was a way to set that tab to show your upcoming appts, that would solve my, and many others as well, problem. thanks

I second that. It would be nice to have a customizable today (TAB) that we could put the today screen or if not possible just appointments.. Hopefully some handy XDA'er is working on it....

Calendar Appointment Colours

Does any one know of a way or an application that will allow you to have different colours for Appointments.
reason why i ask is that i have alot of appointments on my calendar that are different to each other. Some are work based others are personal aswell as some that are of another nature. When you see the appointments, specifically in the month view they are all marked with a silver triangle in the top right corner. This really does not help to find seperate appointments easily.
If anyone knows of a way to get a good colour code system be put in place i would be ever grateful.
the manila integrated calendar is so weak, it is really only usable for people with few appointments a day, and people who don't need custom catagories, and people who don't need tasks...
I just disabled the calendar tab and put PocketInformant to my left softkey...

Is there a calendar log type app out there?

I've searched several times, but can't find anything quite like I was looking for. I was hoping to find an app where you can enter a note or notes on a particular date - maybe color coded. Then you can look back through the calendar to glance at the notes. For things like recording your weight, or blood pressure, or maybe what outfit you wore, or if you exercised and how long. Just any thing really.
Has anyone seen anything like that? And I don't want to record these things in my outlook calendar or tasks.
Moved as not software release.

[Q] Touch Pro 2 Calendar Recurring appointments

I am a Sprint tech support trying to find an answer for my customer. She wants to know if there is a way to put in a recurring appointment in the calender that does not fit the predetermined choices. For instance, she has a bill due every 25 days. The built in calendar on the Touch Pro 2 is not allowing her to change that. She states that on her old Palm Treo, running "the same" windows mobile OS, that she could setup recurring appointments in that manner.
I have searched all the documentation I can find and have not been able to locate an answer for her. Since she paid so much for the phone, she does not want to pay for another calendar application. So if you know of some options, I'd love to hear them.
I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Thanks in advance for your help.
set up a daily recurrence, in there you can set it to occur every 25 days
25 isnt an option in the pull down menu, but you can just type in 25 with the keyboard
