Is it normal? - Touch Cruise General

I've got a brand new Polaris.
About the camera, everytime I press the capture key, something strange happens: a pixel-like black/white preview of the picture magically appears on the screen over the normal image from the center to the left side of the display, what should be?
Any suggest? Thnx

Cannot eliminate background picture 'avatar 8'

hello everyone,
this one is bizarre,...
i took my htc touch pro out of my pocket yesterday, pushed the power button, and found a silouette black and white figure as the background on the home screen.
when i slide to contacts, messages, email, etc. the image goes away, on the home screen, i cannot get it to go away,... i have checked and unchecked the box labeled, 'use this image as the background,' i've soft reset, i've taken the battery and SIM card out, i even found 'avatar 8' and deleted it, but nothing works and this image is still on my device while in 'touch flo 3D' mode, (when i uncheck the touchFlo 3D box, it disappears also,...)
i have no clue how this happened, but would appreciate any comments on how to make this image go away and get me back to the touchFlo 3D screen,...
thanks,
ek
I had the same thing happen. I got rid of it by setting a different picture as background.
thanks, but tried this, and it didn't work,...
ek
can someone help with this,...?
thanks,
ek
In TF3D... scroll all the way to the settings tab and select "Wallpaper". Click on it and a popup will come up asking if you want to use the default wallpaper... click yes.
crav4speed, thank you very much,...! back to normal now and no more 'harpo marx' silouette via 'avatar 8',...
ek

IGO8 3D zoom problem

Running IGO8 8.3.4.102680, default skin. It's working quite well on my stock AT&T Pure except (always and except, right?) for one problem -- while in 3D mode following a route, the zoom out ("-") button on the screen zooms IN!
Anyone experience anything like this? I usually rely on the 2D views, but 3D is rather nice at times. I'd like to be able to zoom out to get an overview of the surrounding area. I have a sys.txt file, but I'm not sure how the 3D options work.
thanks
Jim
Press once on the center of the screen (dont drag or you'll go in to scroll mode) once you're on the map screen or 3d screen. Icons will pop up at the side and presets at the bottom will appear.
use the presets and it should be fine, if not go into settings and into navigation and turn off automatic overview
EDIT: Sorry, i just realized your problem was about the zoom button not working, i would edit it out but it wont hurt to leave it i guess >< lol
as for your situation, no i have not experienced it

Strange touch issue with Material apps

Hi, I'm having a very weird problem on my phone. For some reason, all touches within Material apps seem to "register" twice and display the touch animation twice. This makes every button press in the app appear to flicker as the touch animation occurs twice quickly. If you press and hold a button, you can see better what is happening - the initial touch is displayed around the button, and then a second touch animation slowly emanates from the center. This makes all Material apps look and behave awful, with the animation flickering around everywhere. The strange thing is, it's only in Material apps and the notification/quick settings panel. Older apps and the nav buttons don't exhibit the behavior.
I've attached a quick screen recording so you can see the problem. I press some buttons normally and then press and hold so you can see what's going on. I don't know when this started but I don't believe it was like this when I first got Lollipop. Any suggestions?
Did you change anything is Settings/Developer options?

[Q] How do I change usable screen area for Android

I accidentally dropped my OnePlus One and it resulted in a crack that goes from the bottom of the left edge of screen to the right edge of the screen about 3/4 inches from the bottom. Luckily the LCD display still works, but the digitizer (touch) has stopped working in a rectangular area at the bottom of the screen. I now have to use a screen rotation app, combined with on-screen navigation bar (the hardware buttons also are IN that rectangular area) to work with my OPO along with a lot of turning the phone upside down to access all the screen functions.
Today I got to know of the wm size and wm density commands using which I was able to play with the phone's resolution, but whatever I do with these commands, the whole screen area is being used. Would anyone here know of some way to change the usable screen area so the rectangular area at the bottom is ignored for all purposes - i.e. it remains black all the time and everything begins from above this area?
I do have a replacement screen but I don't suppose it is original plus I don't want to risk opening up my phone and putting the replacement.
I'm using CM12 and I've rooted my phone.

SMALL WHITE/GREY BAR LEFT HAND EDGE OF SCREEN

Hi all
Im a newbie, got the poco x3 NFC, and to say im over the moon is an understatement...finally i have a phone which does what it says on the tin (UK TV advert..sorry)
OK...left hand side of screen there is a small white, greyish bar (oblong) If I hold this, i can slide it up and down, but NOT into the middle of the screen it just slides up and down.
I long hold and nothing, slide up and down again nothing meaning nothing opens, or switches.
I did take a screen shot but IT DOESNT SHOW IN THE PHOTO
If I reboot, it disappears
also while Im here, on reboot or start, the poco logo appears but NO music...is there supposed to be music??
Thanks folks...its a great phone for the price...im MORE than happy
Settings = Type "Quick Ball" in the search bar. Enable/Disable/Customise it there.
All the best.
