Block Recognizer - do not want to add space - Touch Cruise General

I preferred to use the block recognizer when I used WM 2003. However, in WM6 the block recognizer adds a space after I select a suggested word, even when my input option to add a space is not selected.
Overall, the input option does not work in all input modes. If I unselect "suggest words when entering text", it still does it. If I unselect "enable auto correct", it still does it.
Is my understanding of this wrong because it was not like this in WM 2003?

Can't text multiple contacts

On my Tilt, when I try to text multiple contacts, the Add Recipient option is disabled - anyone know why?
Thanks.
Not quite sure why yours is doing that....I just tested this on my Uni, and it works for me (adding multiple recipients by clicking "MENU --> ADD RECIPIENT...").
What I would recommend is a program called "Group SMS" (can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354164&highlight=groupsms
I find this program to be an even better way of SMS'ing multiple contacts. It will also read the Category that you assign to them in Outlook (if any).
Hope this is a good workaround if you don't find a solution!

Word Completion (Registry Hack?) on the HTC Touch HD

Hello
I own an HTC Touch HD device running on WM6.1.
I have loaded quite a few external applications such as Pocket Informant and Flexmail onto my device because they're a lot better than the inbuilt ones. However, the problem is that the Word Completion setting will not work in these programs. This is the setting that, once you've typed in two letters, starts to give you words on the screen that you can then tap on rather than have to type in full. It saves a lot of typing time so diary entries, e-mails and text messages can be more quickly inputted and sent.
I was wondering if anyone could let me know how I can enable word completion to be triggered in all programs through maybe a registry hack or any other means. I would be very grateful for your assistance.
Regards
Nigel
Same problem here wit ha P6500, anyone??

registry tweak for missing user dictionary

Hi there!
My HD2 is leaking the ability to add words to the user dictionary, does anyone know some registry tweak to get this back? I am talking about the button that adds newly typed words to the user dictionary when typing a text message.
Thanks!

[Q] Two SMS send with only 71 Letters

Hello,
my wife (from Ukraine) have with the HTC Mozart NODO the problem of 70 letters (for one SMS and kyrill-letters) like -> this one.
With the german- or english-letters is it normal like 160 letters one SMS.
Exist a reg-hack for this one (Unicode) and WP7?
With WP7 dont exist the option in the menu to use to deactivation.
For now she pay all the time the double of SMS.
Any sugestion is welcome, thanks a lot.
I just want to add that this also happens with the characters Á, á, Í, í, Ó, ó, Ú, ú, heavily used in Spanish.
Using Ñ, ñ, É or é does not make the SMS character limit drop to 70, staying at the usual 160.
I haven't found a solution to this either. In Symbian there was a setting to disable extended character SMS messages, but not so in Windows Phone 7 (pre-NoDo or NoDo)
And, I believe, the same thing happens when you type three periods in a row (an "ellipsis"), for example: ...
it is standard protocol for sms. 7 bit for each char (127 total chars).
any other char (e.g. the uppercase é) will switch the codepage for the message to utf8 or unicode.
only symbian has the option to disable all these chars..

[Q] No keyboard macro app in market, really?

I cannot believe there is not a program similar to the windows program "Keyboard Express." If it is useful on a computer it should be doubly so for a smartphone. I am really tired of typing out my email addresses for starters. I am not part of the texting generation typing with thumbs at 100000 keystrokes a minute. Swype is ok, but it would be nice if I could program long strings as a custom gesture or something. Also program macros that could launch programs in batches or with custom parameters. Find it amazing with all the apps out there that I couldn't find one that does this obviously useful function. Maybe I searched for the wrong thing?
I use an app called inserty. It's not as convenient as if it were built in to the keyboard, but it's very flexible, allowing you to insert canned text like email addresses and passwords or text with fill-in fields like the current date and time, your GPS location, etc.
The way it works is that it's a keyboard replacement. To insert something with Inserty, you long-press in the text you're writing, pick "Input method", and pick Inserty. That pops up a list of all your canned phrases; tap on the one you want and then it prompts you for which keyboard you want to go back to. The selected phrase is inserted just as if you had typed it manually, and you're back to your email or SMS or whatever.
As I said, it's not the most convenient mechanism you can imagine, although it certainly beats typing in my longish email address, but I don't think Android has the hooks to do anything less clunky.
The other thing I should mention, since you're a Swype user, is that the SlideIT keyboard has an abbreviation facility that you can customize. For example, you could associate the abbreviation EML with the text [email protected]; every time you trace "eml", one of the words in the suggestion bar will be that abbreviation (abbreviations are shown in green, IIRC), and selecting that entry will insert [email protected] into the text you are writing.
I use Clipper+
It's a clipboard manager. I have mine set easily access via the notification bar. The Snippets feature is what I use the most.
I can easily paste my 18+ character email address, login credentials, short phrases.
Check it out the free version http://market.android.com/details?id=org.rojekti.clipper
Thanks for the replies, I am exploring the programs mentioned. They might not be very direct, but useful.
I ended up using Clipper, it serves the function, albeit awkwardly.

Just want to say thanks for the thread....solved my long entry problems.
Macro Keyboard

You may try the 'Macro Keyboard' , which allows to define aliases
for arbitrary text. Texts can even be parameterized.
Have a look on the Android market. I am not allowed to post a link here yet
