Hello
I own an HTC Touch HD device running on WM6.1.
I have loaded quite a few external applications such as Pocket Informant and Flexmail onto my device because they're a lot better than the inbuilt ones. However, the problem is that the Word Completion setting will not work in these programs. This is the setting that, once you've typed in two letters, starts to give you words on the screen that you can then tap on rather than have to type in full. It saves a lot of typing time so diary entries, e-mails and text messages can be more quickly inputted and sent.
I was wondering if anyone could let me know how I can enable word completion to be triggered in all programs through maybe a registry hack or any other means. I would be very grateful for your assistance.
Regards
Nigel
Same problem here wit ha P6500, anyone??

I just noticed on my Cingular Treo 750 that there is no Transcriber tool. Is this the same for everyone? I know on my 8125, with the built-in Notes application, I can do hand-written notes (and not have that transcribed to typed notes) and draw as well adding pictures and illustrations. I can't seem to find that functionality here on the 750. Could someone tell me if it's like this for all Treo 750 or if it's just mine/Cingular? I like the option of adding a drawing or illustration once in a while.
Figured it out. Someone on another forum said that under menu, there's a draw option for those of you who may also be interested in this. I also discovered that if you handwrite text in the "Draw" mode that is described, and then go back to menu, tools, recognize--it will "transcribe" handwritten text into typed text.
It looks like a feature in the Notes app has disappeared with the arrival of WM6. I used to be able to scribble down text and then later select "recognize" from the menu and then it would turn the scribble into text (sometimes). The menu option isn't there in WM6.
Does anyone know if it's possible to put it back, or else find a way of gettign the old app to run on WM6?
Thanks for any advice.
While it's missing in the Notes app, it's still available in Word Mobile under WM6. . . at least, it is on the Wizard Xplore WM6 ROM (which is the one I'm using)
I would like to know if it is at all possible to edit the dictionary file that the imate jasjam uses to save the words that are typed in while typing an sms.
I have stored allot of new words that are actually "miss spelt"
I would like to be able to edit that file as apposed to hard resetting my phone all the time!
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.
Anyone able to think of a way to have it so that messages would be marked as read when previewed in TF3D (similar to text messages)? Sometimes I've already read an email, or it's short, or it's not something I care about and would rather not have to open the message to mark it as read.
Thanks.
use flex mail it is much better than the standard outlook and you can mark mail's sms's as read or unread...you'll never go back to outlook again
I've actually heard good things about FlexMail before. My only concern is that I really do like TF3D, can FlexMail replace Outlook for the mail tab and still work with the fancy (lol) previews and such?
you can try Samapa programe to change the default tmail.exe to flexmail i never tried it..but i tried and changed successfuly the all contacts soft key in touch flo to open icontact and the calender button on the home tab to thumbcal ..so try it and let me know what happens
I'm sorry... Samapa? Google'd to no avail (well, as far as phone-relevant things go).

I think I am going to chicken out and not try it. Other than sounding a bit complicated (maybe just because I am a noob on my first WInMo device), but I also don't see anything where it would be able to maintain the preview functionality (and allow that preview to mark the message as read, which is my actual "issue" or whatever).
Thanks though!
I'd also love to be able to mark emails as read from the TouchFlo preview pane, without opening up the mail app (whether that's Outlook or something else). I do like the idea of the preview, but it would make a significant difference if I could use it to mark unimportant and short emails as read in one step.
Anyone?
Hey guys, I used to hang out here when I had my old HTC Wizard (Cingular 8125) and I remember this place being very helpful and knowledgeable. So I've come back in hopes of fixing a couple small "flaws" on my new Samsung Epix.
1. Is it possible to change the default input for the recipient when composing a new text? When I open a new text window, the default input for the recipient's name is in numbers.. but I would like it to be letters so I can just spell out the name instead of write in the phone number.
2. Can the "Reply" softkey in the Inbox of messages be changed to "Delete" like it is in the Outlook E-mail profile? I like to keep my inbox relatively empty and having reply on that soft key is kinda useless.. delete would be a lot more handy, and it's the way the Outlook profile is already setup.
Thank you all for your help

Now if I can figure out the other two, that would be sweet!
