Will it be possible to change defaults time of reminders ? I mean (sorry my english) to change de 1 min, 5, min, ... 1 day to anything that you want in order to postpone a reminder to whatever you want. Thanks.
please do not cross post (4 threads with exactly the same question!!)
5. Post a message only once
This place has multiple message fora, and you will have to select which one is most appropriate. If two fora are equally appropriate, pick one but don't post in both. Lots of people read their messages using the 'view posts since last visit' button, so they see your message no matter what forum you post it in.

I want to be able to send a text to a group of 7 or 8 people. Can I set something up on Windows Mobile 6 so I don't have to keep adding these people separately?
Try this

...or this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306682

Hopefully one of these suggested so far will be just what you were looking for.....failing that, there's always Google
HTH,
Mark.
Has anyone used them? Can anyone recommend one of the others?

Dude, start typing names into the "to" field with the keyboard. Auto-complete pops up the names of your contacts so all you have to do is select them.
People make too big of a deal about this issue, IMO...
But if it's 20 or 30 people and your have to start typing them each time, that's still maybe 3 or 4 minute job. Also, you have to fish out your list each time to check who needs them.
Compared to being able to type 'Football' or something instead. Myself, I would say it's quite a decent time/hassle saver...
The first link I posted above should work well for you; it's "category-centric", so if you create a "Football" contact category you can assign the required contacts to that category. When using the GroupSMS program, it will list the categories you have defined and you can then pick one (or more); then you just enter the message you want to send....job done!
Read the threads, try 'em out.....

Is there anyway I can get notifications like we get for PMs but when somebody replies to your post in a thread? Some threads are huge and I can't find where I posted my question, comment, concern, and can't find who replied and what they said?! Is there a feature I just can't find or does that just not exist? Please PM me with the answer, because I at least get a notification that I got a reply then. Thanks!
From what I can see there is nothing like that available on XDA (I couldn't be wrong, but I don't think so). You can however use the subscription feature that is built into vBulletin. Go to User CP > Edit Options > Subscriptions and change it from None to one of the options. That will then add a thread to your subscription list and show you when new posts have been made in that thread.
I have mine set to No Email which just adds the thread to your subscriptions list, I can't be bothered with the emails it sends you.
I'm thinking this is the closest feature you'll find to what you're wanting.

As far as I know, that's the best you can get with the software this forum is using.
Unless you mark threads as read, the "View first unread" feature (either visible in the thread, or the ">" icon next to thread titles in the forum view) will take you to the first reply after your post, and the emails/notifications links should take you to the first unread post in a thread.
Hi All,
relatively new to the ROM scene and playing with Runny 1.5.1
I changed the power options to normal or economy and I dont seem to be getting pushed fb chat messages or gtalk messages any more.
I checked my Accounts and Sync and both are checked so not sure what I'm meant to look at to control this?
Thanks
Is background data activated?
Background Data & Auto-Sync are both active.
Puh, maybe an rom issue, I post it for you at the runny thread, within the development section.
Edit:
Postet to the runny thread and linked them to yours, hopefully there is any respond.
Thanks - gotta wait till my stupid 10 has been reached.
Appreciate the help
My pleasure^^
(Even if you reach the 10 it can last a little time till you're allowed to write at development section )
That's gay. Understand the need to reduce spam but is a real pain in the ass.
Let's hope I don't have to wait too long.

Unfortunately, that's also inappropriate language for a forum....
read the XDA rules
Thanks. First time in ten years online that either of those two has been considered that bad.
You should see my biking forum lol
Read that thread and no guide lines on what is bad words.
I wouldn't have considered anything I said that bad that it would not meet those criteria.

I'll be honest they aren't the worst , but, I'd still say that one could be considered to go against 2.1 Language it's a subjective thing...either way this conversation is increasing your post count
@ben_pyett
Such a cheater ^^
Did you check each Sync account to see if the green icon is on and if the sync account parameters are activated ?
Do you have the htc power control widget on desktop to check if all is on (sometimes it's easier to control the settings)
So is pain in the bum better? I have reached my right of manhood now and can post woot woot lol
All accounts are set to Sync in "Accounts and Sync"

So if I want to view an older message, I have to keep clicking on "view more messages" above. Isn't there an option to view all messages without have to click that button each time? Or atleast make the increment longer?

As far as I know I don't think there is a way around this as I know of.....
It doesn't bother me one bit.....
there is a way around this
Search
I am not sure of how to increase the increment or remove it, but if you open the menu on the conversation list screen, you can hit search and search for the text you are looking for. If you are trying to go back and see old messages, you probably know what context you are looking for.
After the search, click the text that appears. It might take a second to jump to the location of that text. I have a conversation that I save all my messages for so it took a while to jump to it.
Hope this helps.

Thread moved to Q&A due to it being a question. Would advise you to read forum rules and post in correct section.
Failure to comply with forum rules will result in an infraction and/or ban depending on severity of rule break.
one more quation: why does everytime that I want to post something I need to fill the answer of a captcha? it's extreamly annoying! don't you think your security is just a little over the top?
and look at this: "To prevent spam to the forums, new users must wait five minutes between posts. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed. . I mean come on! for seriously?!
Dude, this "over the top" security is in place and this forum still gets ridiculous spam.
I was done with the "new user" thing within a day. I never complained I did something crazy - I answered people's questions. And the day I joined I was an even bigger n00b - so unless you're the n00biest n00b in all of n00bdom you should be able to do that, too.

Both the captcha and the 5 minute limit between posts are to stop spam, especially form automated spam bots. Based on past history they are remarkably effective at stopping unwanted spam. Don't worry, the captcha and the 5 minute limit will go away soon.
Thanks for understanding about the temporary inconvenience, they are really necessary!
Mod y u no close this thing down!?
