How do you access the registry on the HTC Mogul? - General Topics

I downloaded the Slide2Unlock feature for my phone and for some reason the clock automatically chagned from 12 hour to 24 hour military time. It says in the read me file it can be accessed by going to the iLock config (in the Registry under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\Slide2Unlock. I do not know how to find this. Ive searched through my file explorer and I do not see it. Am I missing a step here. Im sort of new to the PPC thing but im pretty good finding my way around things but I cannot find the registry and edit it so I can change the clock back.
(Had the same problem when I installed the iPhone theme...The clock changed on me it's not that big of a deal just really annoying)

total commander got an ok reg editor

thanks it worked i had a feeling i needed an editor but wasnt 100% sure

Disabling the new sms-writing-mode

Hi there
The new way to write sms is absolutely awful!
Is there any possibility to get the "old" way back? I don't like this kind of "messenger"-style!
EnzephaloN
You can disable threaded sms via Schaps' excellent 'Advanced Configuration Tool'.

Ah, thanx a lot!
Just done it buddy, REALLLLLY easy to do.
Easiest way..
PHM Registry Editor
Scroll down and download " Pocket PC 2002,2003 (ARM/PXA )
Copy the downloaded file ( .cab ) across to your device.
Once there install it then open it up and navigate too HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\
Create a new DWORD value with value name as SMSInboxThreadingDisabled and set it value data to 1.
Soft reset and its done
I did it 5 mins ago and it makes texting alot better !, seems to run smoother too. Only takes a minute to do too.

Newbie Registry Editor Question

I'm planning to pick up my Fuze on Tuesday. Can anyone recommend a small, efficient registry editor?
Thanks!

Got it.
Many thanks,
Richard

try the advised search options..
I'll stick with total commander it's a bit more and very effective.
Im a fan of PHM as well, but his is a site I made thats got all the common registry entries in it that you can make an installable cab file for. You can add your own as well. Much faster, and reversible by uninstalling the cab:

Okay maybe a stupid question. I installed PHM while my phone was active synced and my computer said it was installed, but I never saw anything on my phone and don't see it in the "programs" folder. This is an AT&T FUZE.

Click to collapse
reinstall... if it installed the first time, ur not losing anything if u reinstall (just replace it), and if u messed it up, reinstall since it didnt make it on ur phone anyway....
I use Total Commander .... more simple I find.

Im Retarted, Help!

I have been customizing my theme and have been able to change the clock a few times via cabs or manila files in the windows folder. Now I am trying to change to what I have decided is the "perfect" clock for my theme. It is 5 manila files 0aa5b915_manila, 78ca32be_manila, 757e7332_manila, 1c813f6c_manila, and 367f8f94_manila. When I try to dump them in my windows folder i get the ACCESS DENIED make sure your mobile device has sufficent memory, that the file is not read only, and that you have permision to copy this file type. I remember having this problem with my tilt back in the day but cant figure out how i solved it. Something tells me that some security needs to be disabled but i cant figure out out... anyone?
NM figured it out, total commander, yay no sleep!
Good for you, looks like you didn't go full retard...

[SOLVED] Proper Cheesed off Pt 2 :(

Ok, So with more hours spent trawling the site with a little help, I figured out which files I need to change to have different colours for switches on the comm manager but, how the *!$&@@@@**%$£"" do you change file marked as;
Read only
System
ROM
Winmo file explorer cannot do it
Total commander cannot do it
Resco changes the name, win mo chucks a **** fit and then changes the name back to stock
Windows explorer cannot do via active sync
So, how do I rename the original (so I can revert back should I need to) and copy the modified?
Beer tokens at the ready!
Thanks for reading
(PS, I know this has been covered a number of times, but I think I've covered the solutions provided so far in the above)
Checked out how to make a cab file, made it, installed it, sorted.

WinMo6.1 - Notification Error on startup

When starting my WinMo6.1 device my start screen welcomes begins wiith a Notification Error which is......
Cannot Execute \windows\myphoneruntime.exe
I have actually removed Microsoft myphone beta as i believe it was resulting in conflicts with TF3D not loading, but my phone obviously believe's its still their.......
What I need to know is how or where should I look in the registry editor to remove the line entry which is causing my device to think it needs to run a program which has been un-installed?
Thanks in advance........
First thing to check is if there is a shortcut in the \windows\startup folder, and delete it if there is.
Failing that use a registry editor with a search feature, (I use resco), and search for and delete any references to it.
Thanks for the advice. I have downloaded and installed the Resco stuff (very cool software compared to what i was using) but I still couldnt find anything. I haven't exhausted all search options yet, but I didnt think it would take much finding to be honest. Will let you know if i get this fixed
