different phonenumber application - HTC Tornado

hi,
I do not know exactly the name of what I am looking for, but what I would like is the following:
When you type a phonenumber you get a list of numbers and contacts.
I would like a different list. Something that looks a bit flashier.
For example I would like to see the pictures that I have linked in my contacts in front of the contacts.
Then when you make the call I have a black background, with a reallly small picture next to the phonenumber. Is there a new screen available with a bigger picture, maybe another colour, or even better, the linked picture used as background for this screen?

Change Caller ID / Incoming Call Screen?

I would like to change the layout and size of the photo on the caller id/incoming call screen.
I've seen Photo Contacts Pro - not interested. I just want to use the regular contacts system but have a better incoming call screen. At least a larger photo. This can't be that hard of a hack eh?

Try this http://www.pocketx.net/

Thanks Sebastian, but after trying it, I don't like it. It doesn't seem to work quite like the rest of WM5/6.
All I really want is an app that allows me to redesign the incoming/outgoing caller screen and use the photos already linked in the contacts database on the phone.
Ah well. Looks like I'll be waiting for someone to write it.

I missed a good app for Full Screen Dialer ID! Common developpers...

Hi
I've seen a lot of beautifull and usefull app from the Tech Wizards around here. I thank you all for that... But I'm suprised that nobody created a small app for a Full Screen Dialer ID... The build in one from WMobile is just crapp!!
s2u2 has a full screen caller id, but it uses original contacts pictures which are too small for full screen, so it doesn't look good. someone mentioned that s2v also has caller id, and the difference is that if you assign picture to contact from s2v it will be in original size. however, you will not have this picture as default outlook contact picture, so if you plan to change rom or device or hard reset you must assign all the pictures again through s2v. i guess that no full screen caller id will be interesting until pictures for outlook contacts are so small.
You're supposed to use S2U2 and S2V in conjunction with each other for the best quality caller IDs

[Solved] TF3D Contact Pics are Sharp/VGA

Simply take the contacts photo and change the resolution to 640x480 then move it to your Fuze and change the contact's photo and you're set. No more blurry photos. Check it out: http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=920
You don't even need to resize the photos, just use the original resolution and change the contact pic from within TF3D.
If you set it using the contacts app, then they appear blurry in TF3D, but if you set it from within the menu in TF3D, then they won't be blurry.
you're right...it's a huge difference.
Awesome! Thanks
I believe if you use Album or S2V to set a picture to a contact, it also gives a clear contact pic.
How do you get the photos to show up? I had photos showing but now the contact screen just shows "add favorite". Is there some setting to change?
someone should come up with a simpler way to do this.. like automatically from a computer with ur old photos.

Change Standard Profile Picture

Hi everybody
Probably that's a silly question asked already lots of time, but I wasn't able to find them.
Is it possible to change the standard profile picture? I'm not sure but it looks like this is globally the same.. And because I have everywhere a dark theme (for whatsapp, etc.), i'd like to change this.
Thanks in advance.
maybe you must change your gmail photo profile firs.. :silly:
I mean there are few contacts I won't have a profile picture, because some of those simply aren't persons but companies. So there is a standard profile picture (from android?) with this round head ...
And of course I could always change the profile picture of those seperatly. But when I add a new contact, there's this standard profile picture again.
Is there a way doing this directly?

Contact colours in Contacts and Messenger (SMS)

Hi. Any idea if it's possible to change what colour android decides a contact should be when they don't have a picture associated?
It seems completely random but I'd rather have people who I SMS a lot NOT be bright pink but can't find any way to change it in contacts or Google Messenger
Any ideas? Thanks
Well I deleted the contact(s) and re-added them and they got a new random colour...
Not the best solution for changing stuff...ho hum
Have you tried simply adding and removing contact pictures ?
The colors seems to be set per contact but changed to match the dominant color of a picture (if set)

Click to collapse
I tried this but it didn't seem to work, the colors remained the same. Instead I uninstalled the app, changed all the relevant contact pics that I wanted changed in messenger to just solid color images of the new color I wanted, re-installed and opened the app, and all the changes I wanted were done. After that I changed the contact pics back to normal and this fix appears to have worked. I'm pretty sure it's most important that you have to open up the app at least once upon re-installing before changing your contacts' pics back, that way the app gets stuck in the colors you want. Anyway sorry if I'm repeating anyone else, just thought I'd offer my two cents. And of course besides this shortcoming it's still a really good app.
Latest version of messenger added color change for each conversation.
Still remains the contact as of in itself.
The varying colors of the contacts is not random on my phone (Galaxy S5).
Each time I add a contact it selects the next color in the sequence...
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange...
It just looks untidy in the Contacts list, and I see no way of changing it - apart from adding a contact a few times until it's the color you want, and deleting the unwanted ones. You could also create some simple color pictures to assign to each profile picture (if you don't have their photo)
