Which would be the best ROM to use, the Imate or Qtek 1.12 ROM. Are there any software differences, different ExtROM contents?

Fixes:
ROM builds with radio versions 1.05.00 and 1.10.00 all include audio enhancements for voice calls. Radio build 1.11.00 includes improved support for Cell Broadcast and SIM Toolkit applications. With radio 1.12.10 we have improved the settings for the echo cancellation to remove the phenomenon of "double talk", where a person calling a JAM customer will experience a minor echo if the other person is also talking at the same time.
All new builds contain the improved camera driver and fix for "No Bluetooth Hardware" bug. ROM builds 1.11.00 also includes a new MMS client for improved network compatability and an upgrade to the Operating System. 1.12.00 ROM builds should also reduce the "Cannot Connect" problem experienced by some customers.

Hi all,
Saw that the download from Imate was slow (12 hours + in my case and it crapped out after 1 hour)... I can't get that FTP link to work, does the 112 rom exist anywhere else??

I flashed some WM6.1 5.2.19209 roms, included dutty's, AT&T official, and some other from other forum.
It shows a big capability problem.
some many softwares what were running good before, cannot run on WM6.1 5.2.19209 now.
For an example, iGo 8 and Miomap 3.2/3.3.
They do not start, and no notice about why at all.
Does anyone successfully run them?
I tried some Chinese WM6.1 5.2.19209 ROM, even WM6.1 5.2.19199,
iGo and Miomap cannot run either.
More other Chinese software cannot run.
All of them do not show any notification about why.
Just show a waitting icon then nothing happen.

I would suggest searching more on this topic before changing to so many ROM's. Do you have HTC Home enabled while trying to run iGo?

I have similar problems. I cant get GPSTUNER to work with the 19209 roms... works fine on some 19199 roms (like dutty's 19199 lite rom) but on on the cube or non-cube versions of the same rom?!?!
I also have cases where GPSTUNER does not work on 19209 and then my gps mapping software (www.digi-nav.co.za) works okayish.
I also have cases on post 19199 roms where things are very slow and a lot of clicks are missed and I have no idea why this is.
well since i cannot find the dutch roms anymore wich are all availible. i started this topic.
hope to collect all the dutch roms in here, and display whats good, better and best.. to find the best dutch rom availible!

Probably most people who will pay a visit to this topic will be using their Kaisers in The Netherlands as well, so it might be usefull to share radio rom experience as well!
I used 1.65.20.29 on the KPN network (mostly around Eindhoven), but it was the worst coverage I ever had! Right now I am testing a Niki radio 1.58.16.27. Very quick GPS, good coverage, battery seems to be draining faster though.
Also I got the famous sound problem, but when I search, I actually only find topics where other people look for this problem and are being told that there are numerous topics about this problem. Topics that I don't seem to find... Anyone got the solution or topic, or otherwise the best radio in here with KPN?
By the way, I use Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19700. Untill there is a good and stable Diamond version with the changes from the official 6.1.
I'm mostly using english roms like Dutty's, but also L26's(he's dutch) diamond...
It is possible to translate roms into another language, I believe NoThrills is doing that.
And 20.29 aint working that good for me either, 1.65.16.25 is better. But I have a problem, don't know if its caused by the radio or my provider:

Do you have a different operator on your hard line? If so, what message do you get when you call from there to the same number that gets the out of order message on your mobile? Cause I think this message is something every operator sets for itself, same with for example the call waiting tone.

I'm using the V5 from Leo as well, but indeed the radio reception is terrible... often he looses connection; I've never had that before.

I live in NL (Den Haag) and I'm using Dutty's April 29 Hybrid with radio 1.64.08.21. Very good coverage and battery, but GPS is so-so. Sometimes I have a nice fix (10-15 seconds) but for gloomy conditions that we have now it goes around 1-3 minutes. I tried using 1.65.20.29 but I'm having some drop call and sound problem so I reverted back to 1.64.08.21.
I flashed back to 1.65.16.25 and the sound problems are over.
GPS fix a bit slower, but 'normal'. Anyone has ideas about the best baud settings in our little country or with our network?

Please list some imp (confirmed) bugs/issues too. Their release dates would be helpful too.
Please add comments and I will integrate into first post. I have no intention of trying every single ROM myself, in fact I think I have settled on "[RELEASE] Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Tornado Hybrid".
I may give the pro roms another go at some point but I couldn't get to grips with on first use even though they seems a LOT quicker than standard.

Thanks for this list. Makes all the roms a lot easier to get to. Currently I have on one Cingular 2125 the WM6.1 for (CE OS 5.2.20279 Build 20279.1.3.4) Rose ROM *UPDATED* and on my other one I am trying out
[*NEW ROM-07.12.08]WM6.1 PRO RC7!!!made by Kamikadze. The Pro is actually a lot nicer than I expected, although there are still a lot of things that have to be gotten used to since, of course, our phones are lacking the touchscreen. The Rose Rom is one of the best Rom's that I have had for the Tornado since Nitro's Platinum.

Add Andot's Windows Mobile 6 too, that one was pretty best in my opinion though i kept it for only a week and then shifted back to GnatGoSplat's WM6.1

I tried many different ROMs. Thanks to all the cookers!
Could anybody tell me, where I can find the latest (most stable ROM) for the Polaris (XDA Orbit 2) fitting the following criteria:
- WM 6.5
- German user interface
- Manilla 2d or other/better
Currently I'm running the latest Version of Alex-V i found. But my XDA is not very stable with it. I think, there is less memory free. Running my navigation software, it often breaks down with "low memory" failure message. And any other application and event is very slow.
Coud you recommend me a ROM (WM 6.5 with German interface)?
Is there any german WM6.5 ROM which still is in development? Or in other words: is there any cooker who still is active for a german polaris rom?
