Hello everyone,
This is my first ever post in this wonderful community and I feel privileged to be part of such a great place, genuinely.
I was just wondering if it is possible to run Palm apps on WM5 through some (available ?) emulator. If there is any, preferably freeware, kindly point me there.
Thanks to everyone who try to help in advance.
Thank you.

Thank u so much Rudegar.
I had already found Styletap through Google and, embarassingly, can't afford it.So I was looking for some good freeware.
Is there some other way.
Actually I needed some astrology program for my father and the only freeware which is available is Delphi for Palm OS.So I am looking for some solution.
Thanks once again.

Greetings! I'm just new here and i haven't got an xda yet but im planning to get one soon as i finally found a forum where i can read alot of information on how to use it and great people to assist/help when i need one.
guys, may i know if the applications that work with my spv e100 (manufactured by HTC too) will be compatible with the XDA II? like the smart explorer or resco, World Time and other games perhaps? thanks very much!
manny
No, Smartphone apps are not compatible with PocketPC.
Thank you, griffog for that prompt reply. Any idea where to download free apps for xda2?
http://www.freewareppc.com
or open google and type pocketpc freeware then you should get a whole pile of sites
yah, smartphone apps are not fully compatible wid xda2, but som do run perfectly like tiny ebook reader, betaplayer, mobipocket, town compass, bdicty, pocket stars nd others. some games run but u wud find it hard to control, problem wid d interface, wasnt written for touch screen
Some applications may run.
yes, some applications will run on both e100 and XDA 2, are you a member of airfagev? well, he things i tested that runs are Pocket TV(but there is a free PPC version), SmartNES (but there is PocketNES and other PPC versions), Many games, but will only display on a portion of your XDA screen.
get in touch. PM me so we may pool our resources along with other KABABAYANS near us.
Got my XDA from SMART after much hassle and bleeding.
Im a previous e100 user too and migrating to XDA 2 is no problem.
thanks
Thank you, ill sure try that website.

hey guys i just stumbled into a nice new(launched 1-1-08) program called Pointui it's a skin program for wm5 & wm6 phones. i am running it right now on my wing and i love the damn thing. but don't take my word for it check out what JASON CHEN from Gismondo had to say about it :http://gizmodo.com/339835/pointui-sk...?autoplay=true . btw guys i am in now way whatsoever affiliated to whoever made the program, i've learned so many things about my wing from this site that i just wanted to give everyone a heads up. again the program it totally free with absolutley no hoops to jump through.
btw the program has to be installed through activesync ( just so u know) also the link to the website it at the bottom of the review.
yeah, there are already about 10 threads to PointUi in these Forums. But thanks for the headsup

Not entirely true - it seems that there is more than 30 of them
Well, I bought my vox today.
And it is really cool.
There are a couple of Questions I couldnt fix with the Help File.
For example, at the Home Screen on the Bottum you see: Start and Contacts.
Is there a way to change Contacts to Message or Send Text Message or something like that?
Also, I installed:
http://www.trianglepowers.com/PPC/ViewApp.aspx?ID=56
The install was alright but it doesnt work.
I don't see the Memory Bars on my screen? Do I have to enable that somewhere?
Also I've got a couple of questions about Specific software that I seem not to be able to find.
I think I should post this in a Separate Topic but I dont want to spam the Entire forums full, so i'll ask here
Has anyone made Scapy work on there Smartphone? Using PythonCE?
Also has anyone tried Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter ][ Java on there VOX System?
Since its not meant for it. But I think It should work. Though if it doesn't and I bought it. Well thats just a waste of money..
Is there anyone who used MiniStumbler on a SmartPhone? Since I can only find it for Windows Pocket PC?
And my last Software Question is:
MARS - [Memory Array Redcode Simulator, a machine that simulates a Corewar battle]
is a Programming game?
Is there a port for it in SmartPhone? Since else I should make it myself ^^
Well, I asked a LOT of questions. I hope nobody thinks I am a Leecher
Thanks already!
Cheers,
Robin
I'll answer the questions I know answers to and tell you that if you search you will find an answer, so here goes;
1). Yes. Search XDA for "Soft key changer"
2). That application is for PocketPC, it will not work properly on your Vox which is Smartphone/Standard.
3). Scapy does not work, as far as I am concerned PythonCE for Smartphones is a kludge.
4). There is a Java VM called Esmertec jBed. It should be able to run Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter just fine provided the resolution is within the Vox limits.
5). MiniStumbler does not work on the Vox, however WiFiFoFum does, it is completely free and has the same features.
6). MARS, there is no Windows Mobile or even CE port/release of this.
1). Yes. Search XDA for "Soft key changer"
Thank you!, I didnt know what to look for but now I do ^^
2). That application is for PocketPC, it will not work properly on your Vox which is Smartphone/Standard.
Ah, ok thats why I didnt work. But ofc tht is quite logical. I thought that didnt make a Difference if it was the Home Today Screen..
3). Scapy does not work, as far as I am concerned PythonCE for Smartphones is a kludge.
Ok, well thanks.
I am going to write something like this myself then. If it's done I'll post it here.
4). There is a Java VM called Esmertec jBed. It should be able to run Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter just fine provided the resolution is within the Vox limits.
Ok, thats GREAT! I am going to get myself a Copy right away!
5). MiniStumbler does not work on the Vox, however WiFiFoFum does, it is completely free and has the same features.
That other program is fine aswell. Just wanted to find WifiNetworks. ^^
6). MARS, there is no Windows Mobile or even CE port/release of this.
I found a fix. PocketDOS!! ^^ I just run it on Dos.
Thanks for all this, your a great help =)
Cheers,
Robin

I´m searching for a FINGERFRIENDLY Tool to receive and send SMS for WIndows mobile. I don´t have found anything else.
Sorry...
Does everybody knew a other aplication?
Hi now after even think there is no possibility i have found TWO good ways how to use a FINGERFRIENDLY or better SYSTEM LOOKING SOftware/Tool for Messaging/SMS on the windows mobile phone.
The first is the new Slide2Send Application witch is just beta but I think it will be a good program in the future. Like others very fingerfriendly Slide2... Applications... More here on XDA! Only search the forum!
The second and best freeware for me is the very old tool called Pocket CM-Contact. Search on WEB VIA google!!! This tool has a build in (!) SMS function and on the other hand you also have the chance to use a phone book! There are 2 good skins to use to! Very cool! Love it!
