Long Press Power Key - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I'm looking for the mysterious Long Press Power Key thats in multiple roms here like Schap, and Alex. I currently use Dutty 6.1 rom and this HTC app would be so useful. Anyone know of a cab for this one yet? It can't be that exclusive now that it is on more than one rom from different cooks. Thanks in advance this would be great for future cooking.

Look no further! I did the leg work for you "O' One That Can't Search By Himself"!
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...hts=&as_occt=any&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=off

Thanks
I actually tried both Google search and search this forum, but all I found was people whining about how hard this was too find. Thanks for helpin out

Yep new result, must have appeared over the weekend while I was away. I should have known by the time I was looking for it lots of other peeps would be too

Still looking for the Cab
That wasn't it. I guess you didnt really know which program I was looking for. I wish I had a screenshot. I flashed Schaps 6.1 rom and noticed it and got hooked using it. It remaps the Long Press of the Power Button NOT the End key. It gives you options to shutoff device, reboot device, secure device and the last I forgot. I will look for a screenshot and post it

Screenshot
Heres the screenshot of the program. Its technically another version of HTC Quick List, but its made for the Long Press Power Button.

To my knowledge there is no .cab for this application. It's must be cooked into the ROM.

Actually, the chef might have modified the HTC EndKey cab to work as "PowerKey". My HTC ActionScreen is modified to launch different applications.

Correct. With proper modification this can be done. I'm not sure if the user requesting this is willing to actually modify values to get the desired result. I think he was looking for a quick fix .cab

Schap first said. This will be online for his rom. A.t.m 2 other rom are having the same.
Schaps, Alex, DSC.....
cab plz......

Does anyone think that HTC Quick List should maybe have a customizer like HTC Home Customizer? This was users can change the text, graphics, and links to programs. I guess in short I'm saying yes I will try to tweak it myself This would be good for me to develop my first cab for the community anyhow

Sounds Great

HTC Home VGA!!!!!!!!!!! Finally

Ever wanted the HTC home app but hate how it looks in VGA. I found this file claiming to support vga screens and I just tested it out. It looks great on my universal. By the way I am not using "True VGA" on my uni. This is the only file I have been able to find that works without "True VGA."
Great Dear,
It sounds great and works fine
thanx
After uninstalling this, I noted that my date and time icons on the today taskbar has changed into the battery/power icon. This happens only on the today screen. All other screens are correctly showing the date/time info.
Any idea how I can get rid of the useless battery/power icon and bring back the date/time info on my today screen?

Screenshots:
Up to now works fine on my 9000, boot up takes a bit longer, and memory footprint is around 1mb judging from the amount of free memory I had previously on startup.

Hi tech_e,
Can you please explain what's the difference of this version with the one's with mamaich's HTCHOME.DLL patch posted last December 5 on the HTC Home plugin thread?
The HTCHOME.DLL in your posted cab file is exactly the SAME as mamaich's patched DLL above. Am I missing something? Please enlighten me. Thanks.
edit:
Checked the posted HTC Home cab file & found out that it's exactly the same version I installed which if I'm not mistaken is from Colonel of PPCG..'s + mamaich's htchome.dll patch. If that is the case, then the posted cab file is not the only one that supports Uni's default VGA mode. Any HTC Home version with mamaich's patch which had been tried since 8 days ago has been proven to work fine. Please refer to the HTC Home plugin thread above!

I said that I found this cab not I made it. I don’t care who made it, I only care that it works. As for the other file that you linked I had tried it and many others on my universal and they all looked awful due to I am not running "true vga" patch. I just thought that if there were others that wanted htc home on the vga screen and have been waiting for something that just works I would share my findings. But thanks for the encouragement.
registry is a valid via to update settings.
i have tested A htchome customizer but the result was the same: all 6 tabs are showed all time.
please, test you and sendme the results
thx

Cool down Bro, no intention whatsoever but to find out what was new in it!?
Several things though:
1. It would be a sin for me to keep quiet knowing that the HTC Home plugin appearance problem had been solved since a week ago
2. It's just fair to point you and the others to the ORIGINAL thread source where the HTC HOME problem in Uni was solved, "to give credit where it's due" - wout
3. Finally, I'm thankful for you for creating this thread since it seems that most didn't know of the solution
My work is done. HTC HOME VGA!!!!!!!! Finally - HERE

hello my friend!thanks a lot for this program.
HTC Home VGA Slight Problem
I installed this on my device and have tried numerous ways of changing the tab order but have failed. I have noticed that unistalling the application and reverting back to the one installed before installing the cab and was able to change the tab order.
Any help? please please!

I don't believe he releases his icons and skins separately, but I believe his Home is the standard HTC Home Plugin with custom icons and such. I also like his HTC Action Screen from his latest release - the red icons are nice - however, I cook my own stuff. I've kept my eyes open, but no dice yet. However, I have "pilfered" his home icons from his latest release - had to flash his release and get the icons. Should have done that with the Action Screen skin, but didn't think of it. You may want to ask him via his thread. Seems to be a super amiable guy. I should have asked him before I got them - even for myself. I won't upload his work or I'd give you what I used. Another nice set that I am thinking about changing to are Vamarris' - they were recently uploaded. Do a search and see if perchance you like them.
thanx friend,, I´ll do a search...

Manilla 2.5 Calendar Question

Hi, i have a cooked rom with manilla 2.5, the problem is that i am missing my Call History button.
is there any way, i can get that button there? i noticed that above, "Calendar" word, there is the date. if i click on the date, i get the stupid calendar again!,
i was wondering, if there is a file or a registry key, where i can change, what that button links to.

Its in the theme of Manila.
Search for Max Manila 2.5 theme for your manila build.
Its highly customizable right from the home screen.
sorry for asking, but i really can't understand how max manilla works. i found it too confusing. can't find a detailed guide.
can u plz navigate me on what to do? i would be thankful.

Don't be sorry, I found it a bit confusing too.
What I'm talking about is his cabbed theme found here
I have it working on the ROM in my sig that has Manila 2.5 and even got the 16 shortcuts to work.
There are multiple options on how to customize right from your home tab.
I used the "Max Manila 2.5 Premium - v1.5c (for 2.51919xxx).cab" file.
Check it out....
thanks, i tried it, but this program is more of a mess than a helper.
people should hear about configuration applications.

Sense 2.5 program picker as start menu?

Hi!
I don't like the default WM 6.5 "honeycomb" start menu. Would it be possible in some way to use the Sense 2.5 program picker (the one used for adding programs to the quick launch list in manila 2.5) as a program launcher? And ideally even bind it to the windows hardware button?
Regards,
PK
sorry, don't know how to do that (although it would be nice)
however -- quickmenu is a useful alternative -- and it can be assigned to the hardware "win" key...

I'm doing this exact program mate. It will need to be run in conjunction with Co0kie's Home Tab v1.7+ though, and that's not released yet.
It'll be out within the next couple of weeks though, unless anything changes.
The only thing it won't do is bind to the windows button, but you could just put it as a quicklink on your home tab instead.

Nice! I hope its the one with the "matrix" layout.
But why isn't it possible to bind it to the w-button. Is it a design decision? Or is it a implementation contraint?

TG01 PowerOffHint Replacement

Hello all,
I've compiled a cab file which overwrites the standard PowerOffHint.exe in the windows directory of your TG01 with an enhanced version of EndKey3.6. Now when you perform a long press on the power button the program will execute and list a set of action options, these options include:
Toggle Bluetooth
Toggle Wi-Fi
Toggle Data Connection
Toggle Vibrate
Screen Off
Soft Reset &
Power Off
Credit for the original concept goes to johcos for the EndKey program.
Credit also goes to JHML for the JMLcomm tool & virgilp for the ScreenOff program, both of which I've utilized in this project.
The action menu has been re-skinned by myself(influenced by the GTX theme) to accommodate the revised features included for the TG01 device.
I hope that you find this application useful. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kindest regards,
fitzy-boy
Now it work well.
Thank you very much.

Haha great!
Once I figured out what was causing the issue with the device not turning off it was a simple case of finding a way around it & the EndKey replacement utility has the ability to do just that. It was then just a case of removing what didn't work/wasn't needed like resetting Sense and replacing with tools that others may find useful like toggling Bluetooth on & off.
Thanks for letting me know that it's working on your device.
Kindest regards,
fitzy-boy

Hi mirolg,
First of all I’m really looking forward to your next Sense ROM release for the TG01.
As for the original skin for PowerOffHint Replacement I tried to keep as faithful to the GTX theme as possible & the font I was provided with didn’t render well in bold type.
However I’ll be more than happy to give it another whirl using a different font style.
Also didn’t you mention you were using this in miROM6? Which is a German language ROM? If so, I’d be more than happy to make a German version with the changes you’ve already requested.
Kindest regards,
fitzy-boy
Hello fitzy-boy,

I test to do OEM package to integrate it on my FRA ROM build works but when I click on "JMLComm", "PowerOffHint", etc... I have a message wich say "Can't open file ..... not signed with a trusted certificate ....."

Hello b0s,
As far as I am aware Endkey Replacement never came with that feature built in. You'll have to ask johcos if it's something he's willing to look at in future updates.
As for skinning, yes to can customize the look of the app by changing the .brn files.
Hope this is of help to you,
Kind regards,
