After launching the theme (by the way, it's VERY EASY, just put it in a folder in your wizard), everything works except the banner clock just show "0". Wondering if you get the same on your wm6.
Also, it would be nice if the calender icon can display the actual date and the clock icon can display the actual time.

Very cool app. Looks pretty good and that without needing to install the application. I did try a wizbar adv iphone skin once, which had a lot more features.
But anyway a nice prog to play around with.

could you remap those icon with the config.ini file?
i tried, but most mappings still point to the setting i have on the "Stock" icon.
wondering if anyone here know the PPL and interested to further develop the application. you can download the program for free from the official homepage here: http://arianesoft.ca/index.php

I'm going to look into what I can change with it. The whole deal is fairly cool, but I hate the lag when switching to the "lock" screen. We'll see what we can come up with.

I don't know if you've noticed yet but you can indeed remap the icons with the config.ini file. Simply rename the extension so that it is config.txt, and inside it the various buttons and their paths are shown. Edit those paths the the desired program's location on your phone, then rename the config.txt file back into config.ini
Something I'd like to ask: Can we change the time at the top of this app? I believe that it's just the wrong time zone, since it is 8:44 here and the app shows 3:44

How to disable Pocket CM

I keep seeing pocket CM included in all these roms. The roms do rock but I've come to hate pocket cm due to the lag and lack of detail in it. Anyone know a reg change I can make to disable it and possibly pocket keyboard? I've searched for an answer and have had no luck. Thanks so much!

Install it and it should remove the old one and then uninstall it. That is what I do when Battery status is in a cooked rom I install.

Never tried that before, thanks for the quick response I'll try that now. I just figured it'd be a quick switch in the registry or something.

PocketCM takes a little bit of time to grow on you, but for me I find it faster and so much easier to use than the default Contact Manager. But I didn't take the default one out of XM6r3 as I knew some would want that back (not sure what rom you are using).
To change back do the following (this is right from the www.pocketcm.com website):

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS
Change "String 1" value from "\Program Files\ContactManager\ContactManager.exe" to :MSPOUTLOOK contacts.

Or you could always spend a little time with a ROM Kitchen and exclude it...

Actually this won't work. PocketCM by default becomes the default Contact Manager, thus the reason needed to do the registry change.

Problems changing theme programmatically

I'm trying to change the theme on multiple devices programmatically. I'm using server scripts to do this.
I'm currently testing with a HTC Universal (WM 5), a HTC Elf (WM 6) and a HTC Diamond (WM 6.1). All still have the original Rom at this moment.
I made a custom theme that I will call "MyTheme.tsk". I'm aware that we're dealing with different screen resolution devices, but the script detects this first and sends the right resolution theme to each device (confirmed to work correctly).
This is what I'm doing (got it from examples on MSDN):
- Send MyTheme.tsk to mobile device
- Delete reg value: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\UseStartImage
- Exec: \Windows\wceload.exe /safe /noui /nouninstall /delete 0 \Windows\MyTheme.tsk
- Set reg value: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Skin MyTheme.tsk
Every event is being logged and none gives any errors. However, the theme is not applied on any of the devices at all. The only thing that happens, is that the theme is highlighted if I go manually to Settings - Today.
As an alternative, I tried replacing the Exec event by the following:
- Exec: \Windows\CusTSK.exe \Windows\MyTheme.tsk
This results in a successful theme change on the WM 5 device. However the WM 6 & 6.1 devices change all color settings successfully, but don't apply the background included with the theme.
I tried to add an event to force a refresh of the Today screen, but that didn't change anything. The stwater and tdywater files in the Windows folder simply aren't replaced by the right files.
I know I can simply make a script to change those files manually, but I rather find out why this isn't working the way it should. According to sources I found, it should work using "wceload.exe" which didn't do anything in my case.
The theme itself is not the problem, I tried using the same script to set the device from a custom theme back to the default WM theme, with the same results. Also, manually applying my theme works just fine on all devices.
All 3 devices have been hard resetted to set them to factory defaults, without any changed settings or installed applications except the application that receives the settings from the server.
Anyone has an idea why this isn't working?
A little note: MSDN says I have to delete the UseStartImage reg value. However doing this doesn't seem to make any difference, because it is set back automatically unless I manually enter to remove it in the tsk file settings.

Finally found a solution. Although it's a bit weird.
Apparently it only works with CusTSK when the background files are GIF files. They can be any format (JPG, PNG, BMP) but have to be renamed to GIF for it to work.

Tweaks Issues

I have a VZW Touch Pro. I have tried Pocket Toolman 2, Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3, Diamond Tweak, and maybe one more to make configuration changes. However, each one of these causes a problem for me.
When I pull out the keyboard and then try to fill in a form field in PIE, the cursor moves when I type, but I cannot see the letters in the field. Also, if I have the keyboard open and I go to favorites (particularly Edit Favorites), instead of seeing my favorites, I see chinese looking characters instead of the name of the favorite.
I have tried hard resets and just installing net 3.5, then one of the above programs. Even if I leave the input and IE settings in these apps alone, it causes this to happen.
I would like to use the tweaks in at least one of these programs. However, I need to know if there is something that I can chose not to set in one of these programs, or a registry key that I can edit after configuring one of these programs, to get the functionality back.
Any help is appreciated, as I am at a loss at this point.

Hey 6.5 ROM Cookers - Need your help

Hey guys.
I am running a pre-release official VZW 6.5 ROM on my Ozone.
I have tried the SMSNoSentMsg reg hack to kill the "Message Sent" notification, but it isn't working.
Am I missing something in 6.5?

The Ozone has a package called SMS Retry which messes up all the SMS popups, etc. Also, HTCMessage does the same. Why they added that?? There is a way to disable it, I just have to remember where it is. The 6.5 TEST ROM is very similar to 6.1. Not sure why Verizon didn't at least add Titanium... Oh well.
EDIT: You can try to create a dummy HTCMessage.exe file and overwrite the one in \Windows with it. That may work.

Well, you can try to create a txt file called HTCMessage.txt, then rename it to HTCMessage.exe. It will basically be blank. Then copy it to \Windows. When the OS tries to execute it, it won't be able to. The package you want to omit when cooking is PACKAGE_Chief_W_WM65_HTCMessage and 0409 and 0C0A.

This ROM I have is very buggy.
Registry changes don't stick.
What would cause that?
I edit the registry.

Did you App unlock the phone? Go to my WM6.5 Ozone ROM post and download the SDA Application Unlock ZIP file. Unzip and run SDA Application Unlock from your PC, hit ok.
That should app unlock and reg unlock the phone. Unless Verizon did something else to lock it, like FOTA or something. That would suck.

Well for those interested.. I figured some things out.
SMS Sent Notifiation:
I had done the reg hack manually and also set it in SmartTweaker.
They were conflicting with each other. Removed option in SmartTweaker and the notification is gone.
Icons in HTCVoiceMail sliding panel:
In this ROM version the icons in the panel are the greyscale ones. I wanted the color ones. I tried changing the icon paths in the registry, but after a reboot they wold revert to greyscale.
I went into the registry at \HKLM\Software\HTC\Home\SlidingPanels\ and made a new key called HTCVMAIL and copied every entry from HTCVOICEMAIL only chnanging the icon paths.
I also had to change the datasource key in \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\HTCVOICEMAIL to point to the new key I created.
The icons are staying the colored ones now, but the Missed Call / VoiceMail / SMS / Email indicators do not populate. They are static at ZERO.
I guess I have some more digging to do.

Its not really that much of an upgrade. Have a Panel config app and a few new apps. Basically a new WM6.1 No Titanium.

I am seeing some strage stuff.
If I have more than 3 panels, only the last 2 will show in a "collapsed" view.

so i am assuming that titanium wont be in the final release?
if thats the case, is it possible to add the titanium seperate from a different rom?
