I love this forum. I have learn't so much so far, but still have a lot to learn. Epecially programming for WM. Anyway, on to the reason for posting this thread.
Since learning that I could flash from my microSD card thanks to the tutorial by renaming the *.nbh to KAISIMG.nbh and placing it in the root folder. I have been making custom 1st splash screens to flash remotely as well as making a directory on my microSd ("Flashing from MicroSD") and creating directories for original roms such as (\WM6 Originals\Alex\KAISIMG.nbh) or (\WM6.1\SleuthV3\KAISIMG.nbh), (I also have KAISIMG for just Radios under a different folder) so when I want to try a new rom, flash a different radio or splash, I can at anytime.
Here's the thing I love using the splash tools (maker and converter) and Rom Builder. But obviously you need a PC. Would anyone by able to recreate a mobile version of these tools so we could do most things (customisation wise) whilst we are mobile.
I.E. I want to make and flash a new splash whilst mobile from a *.jpg. I could use this program to convert to .bmp format needed, then convert to *.nb thsn to *.nbh. I could then use a file manager to rename to KAISIMG.nbh then place in microSD root folder and flash.
What you think? Would this be too hard to do? Anyone want more mobile control of your mobile customisation?
Other tools that could be ported would also help. I make the welcome.96.png with my mobile graphics problems.
Well for the moment I'll stick to making several themed splash into the KAISIMG.nbh to flash remotely (making sure you have enough battery mind/dont flash on 10% or something/I recommend over 10% for mobile flashing your splashes and over 50% for you WM Roms)
Got a collection of around 19 Slide out Keyboard sounds inc Knightrider, Thundercats, Xbox 360 boot sound and others. When I have a couple more made I'll post my Sliding keyboard Sounds.cab if anybody wants it over the next Couple of days. (Some sounds gathered from other users share i.e. Mario etc)

You pose interesting questions, if you don't get much here, I'd try dropping those ideas into the Development and Hacking forum and see what they think. That's usually where the new programs come from.

I'd say try a 4shared account or talk to alltheway or HDStreetGlide about tossing it on their 4shared accounts. That seems to be the current way of getting the larger files out there unless you want to use RapidShare or MegaUpload.

well i had read the forum instructions and for change boot and welcom screen.
but something is wrong with the typho5. its suppose to extract nb 9200000 files but the application starts without extracting nobthing.
i would like to change the welcome screen from the PDAMobiz to some thing personal. i follow instruction but they dont fit the results i get.

I do not suggest everybody trys to get into the ROM cooking that is also described, but the splash screen section is fairly straitforward

well to make it easy to understand where we stand this is the only file we must change. but there is a problem. the original file is read only and can not be replaced nor rename or moved. not with total comander , not even unlock extended rom. after a small research i found that the file is integrated with in the original ROM not the extended.
so i am looking for a tool to delete/install files into the ROM when present on the device.
it sims that that cannot be done. we must dump the present rom, sort of cook it on our PC than re- install it with changes done.
at the same time since most of us are very happy with the ROM as is , but want to personal it littel bit, its worth a dedicated tool.
i will look into it. if i find a way i will post it here.

Read the previous two posts and look at the pdf manual in the download - it describes the tools you need to change you images (without cooking a complete rom)
And it doesnt need a hard reset either!

If you have created your nk.nbf file, you can replace the one in this file (rename it to zip)
rename it back to exe and execute, it worked on my prophetG4 with WM6 on it

Firstly, this is a pretty blatantly lazy question. If you would have used google you would have easily found an answer.
.rar has nothing to do with flashing on phones, pda's, etc...
.rar is a data compression type, just like .zip files are. Search google for WinRAR from RAR Labs. RAR files need to be extracted before they can be used. WinRAR can unzip rar files, zip files & mant other formats such as iso files.
I would definitely read up before you flash, because if you ask similar questions, well let's just say around here you'll need asbestos pants.

Please go read about the roms. The first thing you need to do is install hardspl. This is before you even think about flashing a rom period. Secondly, why on earth would you want to go from one POS ship rom to another?
Third, Go read the flashing for noobies post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=356895 (it tells you everything you need & it's not that long; only 36 posts) & then go read about the different roms so you can better select a rom.

Here's a little program that I have developed on the basis of "itsutilsbin-20070705."
this software can extract the ROM 4 file. RAW without the worry of addressing.
Dump-Rom
the archive and extract a root c: /
then run the Setup.exe
the executable is located in "program files / dump-rom /"
and files. raw find this in "c: / dump-rom /"
for all question I remain at your disposal

Works fine for me. What troubles are you having with it?
I click on it and then it brings up the normal page but when I click download, the page errors out.....I tried another rapidshare link to see if it's on my end but it was fine....weird.....

I tried.
It is in some local language (I know, its French, I'm just kiddin) which I don't speak.
It probably said it couldn't find .RAW files and it terminated itself after I run it, but there was no prior option to ask me for their location or to navigate to them, so I don't exactly know what happened. (edit; yes, I have put .raw in c:\dump-rom first as you instructed in 1st post).
I hope it didn't require any external connection (for whatever reason) because that I never grant to any tested software (anyways the machine I tried it on wasn't even connected to any network).
That's my whole experience with it, sorry I can't tell you more.
If you are the person who wrote it /developer, please please! take my advice:
Make it even in a broken english rather than any best parfait francaise.
Most of us understand simple stuff like Mo=MB, demarrer=reboot etc, but there were quite few screens during installation I had no idea what they said (I hope I didn't agree to give you all my income for the next 50 years just by clicking on "install" button )

There has never been an official WM6.1 update for the Treo 750, so the short answer is no. That file will get you WM6.0.

I'm new to cooking, so I need help. This is my first ROM. I have done minimal testing and have made no changes as of yet. I'm hoping a couple of you can help me figure out what to add, change, or remove from this ROM and work out any of the other bugs so I can get better at making them.
The goal of this build was to make something aesthetically pleasing, not too stripped, and still lightweight enough to make the most of the limited space on the P4350.
This build is for the Wing only (Herald keyboard is not supported) and was designed for use with an RUU. I have no idea if it will actually work via SD re-flash, but if you decide to try, let me know.

So, update...
Recent computer issues have lost me some cooking time...
Also, when trying to cook the new ROM, SJK seems to have lost a file that is integral to the creation of a new rom, so I have to go back and find it in the original .7z files.
I also installed Ivan's JustStable5 Micro onto the test wing, and now it won't accept a reflash either through SD or RUU. So I have to work on that issue as well. I'll let you know when we're back up and running.
Otherwise, any existing feedback on the ROM will be helpful before the new version is finished. Thanks everyone!

I'll get the save file uploaded soon. There's an issue that I noticed with the "incoming caller" icon not showing. I modified it so that the sihlouette(sp?) is outside the original square size, but not outside the original image size? Is that a picture demension issue?

Unfortunately, the work computer isn't working again. I've never gotten so many BSODs in my life without any real explaination as to the problem. It seems to do it whenever it feels like it.
