Is it possible to share my prophet's GPRS connection to my pc? If yes, how do I go about it? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to XDA-Dev
It depends on what you mean by sharing - ICS-like existing Internet sharing that shares a connection in away that it remains usable on the PDA? With AKU3, it's easy (I'll publish an article on all this in the near future). With pre-AKU3, please read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=453&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1.
Simple dial-up (NO sharing) is very easy in pre-AKU3; please see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=510&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
I was told by someone that Windows Mobile 6 is capable of accessing WPA Enterprise encrypted access points. My college employs WPA Encryption on all WiFi access points, utilizing Protected EAP (PEAP) and 802.x access controls. I'm wondering if this person was wrong in telling me that my T-Mo Dash with WM6 could access this APs, or is there some trick I don't know about?
Thanks for all the help.
I`m interested in this problem too... can anyone help please?
anybody??
woo boy! what a helpful thread! I'd like to know this as well. Don't tell me iPhone has a leg up on us here...
well, it would be very nice if there'd be an answer to this topic, I'm also searching for it ...
Hi, all
i Have a project where i want to use my old HTC Artemise to track my car.
For tracking i found this grate site http://www.trackr.eu and it works grate.
But because my device is in the car i would like to remotely access the system whit VNC. i Tried to brows around but every VNC server don't work and the last update was in 2004 etc. no support any more
Hamachi is a problem to, because thx to Suru form wmpoweruser.com i found a link to a copy of the program that is not any more supported by the company. I downloaded it but i have 30 days before the evaluation copy will expire.
So:
I'm trying to find a way to remotely manage my WM device whit a VPN-ish connection. Any idea?
Basicly what I want to do is to be able to connect to my chessbase Fritz 11 interface on my home pc from my wm device using the internet!
So that I can play and analize games when I am on the go!
So my question is, is there a chess software on the ppc that can connect to Fritz 11?
If not then maybe there can be other solutions for doing this?
I was thinking something like this:
1. Connect Fritz 11 to autoplay on FICS or ICC
2. or Connect Fritz 11 to autoplay on Yahoo
3. Use PocketGrandmaster 4.0.1 to play with fritz on FICS or ICC
4. or another software that can connect to yahoo chess and play with fritz from there!
Now I know how to enable fritz 11 to play on yahoo server, no problems there, but I cant find any software that enables me to connect to yahoo chess from my ppc! Is this doable?
I dont know how to connect fritz 11 to autoplay on FICS or ICC, but I do have the program "pocketgrandmaster" on my ppc that can play there!
So as you can see, I have problems one way or the other! :-(
Please can anyone help me to best solve this, I am desperate!
There must be a solution to this!
Thanks in advance!
I don't know if this is helpful.
You can remotely see your PC and control it from your PPC using t2remotetouch - it does connect over internet too (but I haven't tried this myself, I usually use it over wireless router).
However Sanjay is very helpful and there's a forum here.
There is also some help on connecting to your computer from anywhere here.

This is free, but pay to remove the advertising banner that pops up on occassion.

Thanks, I tried the program and it works great! Unfortunatly its not reacting fast enough to be a good way to play chess!
But it will for sure be useful for other things!
