im a newbie here
ok basically heres what has happened
I had the Orange Uk Rom on my htc tytn2 which comes as standard from orange (iv had 2 replacements) lol
so i stayed away from installing a new rom or installing any new programs
So Today i installed The Mobile Vista rom by "Confused Stu"
I tried the media player which seems to not work, then i thought id test the incoming call ringtones and see if that works
I then thought its maybe my radio, so i installed Dutty's Official wm6.1 ROM
still hasnt solved the problem!!!

Hey flamebait, watch this and read the ROM Upgrading troubleshooting section on the wiki. If I had a dollar for each one of these threads... *SIGH*
Did you do a reset soft or hard?
Also, you might try to reinstall the radio that is compatible. This has happened to me before and I installed the same radio that was in there and it fixed the problem for me.
His problem is that he has a Orange UK service. He'll need to read the radio thread to find out more info. Let's just leave him at that.
There is yet *ANOTHER* thread about this too... *SIGH*

the sound thingy is ok now working perfect
i want to install Dutty's Offical WM6.1
i have the following radio: 1.27.14.32
which radio is compatible with this rom???

Yup i did a soft reset and a Hard Reset but seems it didnt work
Eventually i went back to the original Orange Uk Rom
can anyone please let me know which radio or above i need to use Dutty's Offical wm6.1 rom????
_ALEX_ you're starting to sound like me. Calm down, take a deep breath and have a xanax. Those and a big jug of whiskey are the only things that seem to get me thru these threads at times. It will be ok, until 2 minutes from now when another damn thread with the same question will be started. Grin, sometimes it helps, sometimes it just makes it worse.

It doesn't matter which ROM you flash YOU have to use a RADIO that it's compatible WITH the ROM

I understand completely. You need not explain to me. I was just jabbing at you to try and make you grin.
Although I have been enjoying the pretty colors, as I'm sure you will agree this thread serves little purpose. The place to find the answer has been given here and many other places, so time to close the thread.
To the OP - please , please read the sticky post and search before posting. (this one has been answered many times) We don't want our seniors resorting to Caps and rainbow colors do we!!

I'm trying to unlock 2 of my kaisers and it seems as though whenever I try to change the radios my screen goes black right after it reboots and won't let me do anything. Maybe I'm just being brain dead and forgetting to do something, but I unlocked my other Kaiser 2 days ago and I'm 99% sure I'm doing the same thing I've beendoing.

If this is related to SIM unlocking your phone, please check that thread first. Your question is most likely already answered there.

I checked, I didn't see anything describing this problem. I've treid with both different methods, JWC2001's and the stickied. Tried on vista and XP. Neither worked.

You still should be posting there, because even if this thread isn't redundant and you find an answer in this thread, some other person will come along and have a very hard time finding this thread amongst all the other threads that are/were redundant.
There are HUNDREDS of threads that mention radio issues and the relevancy of the thread title not matching the contents of sim unlocking issues will definitely make it hard to find.

I tried posting there when I didn't find an answer I had figured might as well make a post on the main boards, my apologies either way. Just frustrated that 2 poeple can't use there cell phones ATM because I'm an idiot.
Just flash any 6.1 rom it will fix it. once your done with that just run step 2 and 3 and you'll be set.
this happened to me too. Try putting on your original radio, that will fix it. Or upgrade to a 6.1 ROM, and put on a 6.1 radio. Its just radio that will not work with your ROM, they all don't work with each other.

Yeah just make sure you follow the directions closely it will save you alot of headache.
I try two last Dutty ROMs! When i do soft reset, it freeze in splash screen and i must wait fort a long time to reset! What is a problem?
check ur radio. I bet $ u dont have a 6.1 radio. I also don't guess you thought about posting in either thread before starting a new one.

Yeah I think he didn't even think to search either thread too.
Probably the radio. Upgrade your radio to a WM6.1 radio and you should be ok.
Man I am slow I guess when I started this post there was no replies. P1Tater is probably trying to be like his hero Matt Serra.

I recently upgraded to the official WWE 6.1 of HTC. Now I know that there's seems to be a lot of issues with it according to several threads.
I just wanted to know if anyone experienced this weird behavior...
When I try to send an SMS, OFTEN and it doesn't seems to happen when I do something in particular, my message CAN'T be sent, I have to retry a LEAST 3 times so that it's being sent successfully. I never experienced that with 6.0.
Would it be due to something special...? I've check my SMS service center number and it's fine.
Any ideas?

well..... cut my legs off and call me shorty, last time i looked in the kaiser forum, theres not alot of "offical stuff" just home cooking, maybe thats why im the only fool answering this, anyway just trying to help,

yeah it is i did just do the sim unlock though, i did use that wiki cause my phone did that reset thing where it restores to factory but somthing went wrong and it wouldnt connect to the network but a hard reset fixed that. as for the rom i wanna try 6.1 the extra battery life sounds good

First Off, I'm not impressed by your tone, Scotchua has gone out of his way to help countless people with countless problems. He is a great contributer, to portray him as a "torch welding maniac" is uncalled for.

OK I have searched and searched... but to no success...
Here is what is happening, after a clean ROM install or a Hard reset I can sync via AS once... but then the next time I try I get a generic saying simply that it could not sync, but with more words (no error codes)
Here is what I have tried...
Hard reset... one sync works.
soft reset... still errors
reflash... one sync works
Deleted profiles after a failed sync... still fails except because I deleted the profile, the only profile it creates not is a guest (not the "hyperdragon) default name.
I also went into the connections>usb-->pc settings and unticked the faster sync option... FAIL!!
Here is the version of the ROM... HyperDragon_IV_IOLITE_WWE_20090204
I am syncing to an exchange server.
Can someone please help??
Is there a fix? Or do I need a different ROM?

Look , I am going to try to be as nice as possible about this. This is going to be the FOURTH thread in a row you are going to get locked, You NEED to read the posting rules to keep from getting BANNED.
This post belongs in the Hyperdragon thread, or at the very least in a " problem connecting to AS " thread.
Ask this question in the right thread and someone there will help you.
You cannot keep starting NEW threads everytime you have a problem with your phone.

have you tried reinstalling activesync on your pc? i would start there, and denco is right, i just looked at all your posts and you DID NOT ask this in the HD thread and that is where you should have asked instead of making a new thread!!!

Besides I searched and there were like 319 AS issues reported in various threads, but no solid fix.
Counting my threads, give me a break! I have been a member since 07 and I normally post simple concise questions and usually after I have searched!
What is getting old is moderators responding with BS about Banning when I have asked a legitimate question with specifics and details.
So please if you have the answer and you searched and found it supply me with a link to said post/fix and if and when it works I will eat my words and be sorry... UNTIL then you and the other power trip moderators need to relax and stop running you post numbers up with worthless bit**ing at people for posting in such a way that they get their panties twisted!!
There I also removed Hyperdragons name from the title!!
And please do not give me the BS about this not being a ROM development issue... IT IS!!
There has got to be a fix and that fix will be repairing a ROM issue, hence the reason it is posted here!

We have not flamed you in this thread, only made respectful points to try to help you get the information you need in a timely and organized manner. I hear you, I think that this is a consistent, if not common problem. I have had exchange syncing working OK for the past 6 months on this device. Never great. It got frustrating so I have been loading other ROM's this week and it seems to be a consistent problem. I went back to the official ATT Rom and it was better, not perfect. i think the problem is really the exchange technology. I think once RIM comes out with their new WM blackberry client, I'll switch over there for messaging. If someone does have an idea of the best ROM for exchange, I will use this one.
You may want to try flashing a forced USB hard spl and see if that works, you may have nuked your USB!

Groovin!! SHHHH!! you can't say that here... because if in fact you have found this to be a common issue across other ROMs you have installed then I would be correct to have posted the question here... but if that is true then there are some very angry "Senior" ppl that might... well what ever.
So anyways... I am not sure I understand what you mean about "nuking my usb?"
My usb works fine, I connect,sync, flash, and sync atleast once...
Then bang!! Error

Its cool, if you look in the hard spl thread you will see that there are versions of the spl's that are called "forced USB" these are for people having issues with their active sync! I realy do want to help you, I hope you can get this figured out, I would be going nuts too! Hope maby this works for you! If you need to you can PM me!
my issues
have always been related to exchange sync via my data connection, not the usb. I went back to the latest HTC standard English ROM and this has been stable and working for the past 24 hours. I'll look for mod's of this build, I think...
