Converted a bunch of Icons for HTC Home Sprint... - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hey everyone.... I was having trouble finding some good icons to use for the Sprint shortcut launcher. Since I am artistically challenged, I was able to find a bunch of .ico files that seemed pretty good. I will post a picture of the first few that I put on my phone here. If people are interested I can convert the rest of them and post for everyone to enjoy.

Also I am taking no credit here for the actual artwork, I believe they originally came from a german forum, not sure who acually made them.
So yeah, just let me know if I should post them all here or not.

Interested.

Where to find simple themes?

I have searched for themes (although admittedly not all that hard as I am searching on my Vox on EDGE) and all of the custom ones I can find are very visually busy and/or hard to read.
I just want onto that is nice and simple with no unnecessary words, logos, or anything else.
But I want it to display:
MRU
profile
next 2 appts (I'll settle for one)
SMS/MMS/email
time, date
Anyone know where to find some?
Well since I couldn't find any I just made* my own. (*made meaning compiled and tweaked, not created)
Here it it: (for a first try, I think it is not too bad)

Thanks.
I would if I knew how.
SUper!
Hi CHillin,
I am also on ROgers. Can you tell me what is your "receipe" for getting your home screen installed with wich plugin etc.
Regards,
JL
I think this is all you need.... I think.
I used Facade, Endless (attached), HTC Home (attached), and a pic I took using with the Vox's cam (attached)
Colour Scheme: Endless: Blue
Wallpaper: IMAGE_004
I have attached the xml file, that I Think will give you the layout. Since I can't attach xml files I added .txt to the end of the file name. So simply delete ".txt" from the file name after you download it and it should work.
Actually I think you will need this one too.

Has anyone been able to extract first boot sceen?

The bootscreen in our devices is made of 3 pieces:
1st is an image (usually the HTC logo)
2nd is the welcomehead.192
3rd is an image/animation (usually the carrier animated logo)
I know it is possible to change the last two, but what about the fist one?
Has anyone been able to extract it?
If so can you share?
I would like to use it as a starting point of my animation so the transition is not too abrupt.
Thank y'all
Do you have a GSM or CDMA Touch Pro 2?
edit: Well, I suppose it doesn't matter. I've just extracted the generic TP2 1st boot and packaged it up. This won't require a hard reset either, so no worries.
Thanks TaurusBulba.
CDMA. that's my TP2.
And now brace yourself for a stupid one...
I'm actually after the image itself, so I can add to my animated GIF.
Any chance of that? or maybe the way to get it from the pack you created?

Now I want to leave the office and go working on this....
I will share ofcourse!

Dusk Anyone?

I came over to the Android world from the Touch Pro 2 like I'm sure many here did. I spent a lot of time on PPCgeeks.com and have contributed a lot on that site in the way of the TP2.
Now with the Incredible, XDA has became my favorite site for phone and I hope to contribute to the Android world from here.
One of my favorite themes was the Dusk Theme by xda user grzegorz10. He does some beautiful work and in my opinion it is second to none.
I am working on a few things for the Android world that will possibly bring some of this to the Incredible.
Here is a start, it's not perfect yet but I am pretty happy with the way it is coming along...
I give you the Dusk Clock!

And the widget preview image when adding it to your home screens.
I don't know how far I will take this, probably just a piece at a time. I don't really have the time to do a complete ROM, that and the fact that learning where all of the different files are is a whole new ball game compared to Window Mobile operating system.
As for right now the phone has to be rooted and you have to push the files using adb. In the future there will probably be a better way of doing this but for now that's about it.
If anyone is interested in this, when I get it completed I will post the apk and instructions for getting it on your phone.
gadget!
Wow...bringing me back! Greg made a sick Dusk theme, nice to see this on Sense and not Manila
Nice job.
Whoa.
Dude it is badass.. when can I get this..
Looks great. Takes me back to the days of Manilla

any update on when we can use this bad boy!?

[THEME][ALL] Asset Sharing, the thread

The theme I've been working on is taking way too long, so I thought I'd share some of the custom PNG files I've been making for others to use and incorporate into their own themes.
If you would like to share as well, please make an animated GIF or thumbnail sheet along with a link to the files and I'll try to add them to the OP.
Don't be a scumbag
If you are using somebody else's stuff, get their permission to distribute them BEFORE posting.
If you use any of the content shared by others in your theme, get their permission to distribute them BEFORE posting.
Anyhoo, here are some Gingerbread-ish files customized or created by me.

Wow, that makes me want to wait for your theme...
Sent from my Galaxy Tab
The items I posted aren't themes themselves, but image assets to put into themes.
I'm working on one, but I've been repeatedly sidetracked and it is taking forever.
Like I said in the OP, I thought I'd share the custom PNG's for anyone who wants to incorporate them into their own theme.
As for assembly, there are numerous "how to" threads throughout XDA. Theming Android isn't as hard as it is tedious, but I wouldn't recommend it for a "newbie" especially since the Tab's backup/restore procedure isn't as easy/safe as on on other devices. At least not yet.
Hi ZoinksS2k
I'm trying to port VA Green Theme from I9000 to P1000. every thing is OK, except the Settings menu's background[Image 4]. I was successfully changed the sub menu, quick panel, status bar and drop expandable menu.
Do you have any IDEA ?!
????????????????????????????
Thanks

What to use to do complex UI-design for Android?

Hello! This post goes into General since I haven't gotten up to the post count necessary for the app-development forums.
This post has also been posted on Reddit , but I was suggested to go here instead.
New to developing in Android here. I'm trying to work out best practices and discuss design-principles to make the UI shown in the image here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is an infotainment UI possibly for a car where you have several elements with diffrent functionatlity.
The navigation part should be updated continously, the mediapart should be able to scroll horizontally through albums with animation etc.
There are some things I would like the UI to handle:
* I would really like this UI to be dynamicly sized depending on Screensize. (But if it is not possible I would like to discuss it)
* I want to seperate code for each element.
Last I dabbled with Android it was through "Fragments". I get the general sense that Fragments have been faced out
but I cant get a clear picture of what it got replaced with.
I guess what I would humbly like to have a discussion about is , how the wonderful Android Developers of XDA
would go about designing something like this?
Thank you for your time!
