Backlight Setttings Gone?? - General Topics

My backlight settings have disappeared - there is no incremental steps between the lowest and highest setting, and if I tap the bar nothing happens anyways. Is there any way I can restore the backlight settings??
I'm using a HTC "Vogue". Thanks!!!

Display settings

Is there any way of bringing back the sliders under the display brightness settings menu, all I have is a tickbox for adaptive light levels?
Also, holding an HD, a D1, and D2 all at the same time, the D2 seems to have a much warmer, orangey hue to the display, are there any programs that can change this on global scale?

If you uncheck 'Auto adjust backlight' you get the usual sliders to set the brightness on mains and battery.
No idea if you can adjust the hue of the display though. Likely not.

Many thanks.

[Q] How to disable screen dimming during navigation

Okay so I discovered that Auto brightness in CM7 is messed up so instead I am using manual brightness setting. So far so good, but when I use Google navigation, after a while the screen dims to lowest brightness and wont go back to my brightness till the navigation app speaks next instruction and then it dims again after a timeout.
Anyway to turn this annoying behaviour off?
Does changing the screen timeout setting help?
The one under Settings > Display > Screen Timeout is the setting I'm reffering to.
No, that only affects the screen turning off. It remains on, just dims to lowest brightness
Give this app a whirl. You can select an app and while in the app you selected (navigation/maps/whatever) the screen will never turn off. I don't think it will dim either.
You have to use navigation thru car home to prevent that.

[Q] CM10 Power Widget Settings

Does anybody know the location of the file where the CM10 power widget stores its settings? This is actually a bug report for Camcory's CM10 11/26/12 build for the SGH-T679, but I won't be able to post in the relevant thread until I hit my 10 posts, so I'll ask here instead in case anybody else has come across this with other CM10 builds. Here is what I'm running:
Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G
CM10 JB 4.1.2 11/26/12 build from Camcory with included kernel
JusTunBean JB4.2 aroma v4.1.2 and also tried v.5.0.1
I was really liking the slide brightness feature on the notification bar, but now it's not working. Under Settings > Display > Brightness the Automatic Brightness box is grayed out and unchecked. This I expected, since I think the phone just doesn't support this feature. I've never seen it on any ROM for this phone. The brightness toggle button from the Notification drawer power widget has "Auto" as one of the available options, but when I toggled it to auto it got stuck on auto and won't change to anything else. It still cycles through the other settings, such as 25%, 50%, etc., but it always shows an "A" in the icon. This caused the notification bar slide brightness to stop working. The setting to enable this under Settings > System > Status bar is grayed out now and says "Brightness control - Automatic brightness is enabled" with the box checked, and I can't uncheck it. I tried clearing app data for Settings, Settings Storage, and System UI, but the power widget still has the "A" on the brightness toggle. Next I tried wiping cache, dalvik, and dalvik cache and that didn't help. I also tried reinstalling gapps. I really like this ROM and don't really want to do a full wipe just to fix this setting. If anybody knows exactly where the power widget settings file is stored I don't have any problem manually trying to edit it myself.
its a mystery....no one ,even the devs do not know where power widget stores data

[Q] Screen Timeout Toggle

Upgraded from ICS to Jellybean on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and notice the power setting widget is now gone.
What I really miss out of it was the Screen Timeout toggle whereby I could set the timing by toggling the time value.
I have checked the market to see what is available and so far I have found one that only turns timeout on/off and another is a shortcut to the Display Setting screen which I then have to select screen timeout then set which is too many steps.
Can any one suggest a good free widget?

[Q] Drity Unicorns 7.6 Touchkey lights time-out settings

I want to run Dirty Unicorns on my Skyrocket but the the nonworking touchkey lights are the only thing keeping me away. According to @NoSpamDan there is a setting to adjust the settings for the touchkeys. In his words:
"Last night, I accidentally found the setting for the touch lights time-out!
Go to Settings > Display > Brightness > Timeout and move the slider from "Disabled" (0 seconds) to whatever time you like. Make sure the Touch Key lights are enabled under Settings > Device specific > Sensors."
I have search thru the settings relentlessly and I am sure I overlooked something, but I do not have a "Timeout" setting under >Brightness.
Under Settings > Display > Brightness: I have listed options for SCREEN Brightness; SCREEN Automatic levels; and SENSOR Adjustment sensitivity.
The BRIGHTNESS option brings up screen brightness slider.
The AUTOMATIC LEVELS option gives adjustments for screen brightness automatic mode.
The ADJUSTMENT SENSITIVITY i am unsure of what it controls, but it does not have control timing for touch-key lights.
Has anyone had any luck finding the Time-out option? I have an AT&T i727 if that makes any difference.
See my post in the DU thread here...
