Have 4 problems with my unlocked htc S710 phone:
1) Problem is I can not get the phone to work on one of my gsm providers - my home provider actually. They currently operate on the 1800/900 band. I will see the network (when set manually) get full signal and detect gprs but for some reason I can not make or receive any calls.
Has anyone had this problem ?? .... and what can I do to fix it??
2) Using the other gsm providers SIM the phone actually works (makes and receives call, surfs the net) - provider operates on the 1900/850 band. Problem is it shows a roaming symbol on the phone.
Why is that there? and how can I remove it?
3) When using WiFi i find i can not surf or retrieve mail as my office uses a proxy setting. I have attempted to setup for the proxy but still not working and the manual does not show you.
current settings
call from : work
call to : the internet
proxy name/port: <name>:8080
type: http
username/password saved
Can somone tell me what I am possibly doing wrong?
4) Why cant i select the GSM band I want to use like in Mobile 5 .... i can t even find the option ?

Problem with this update is I am in JAMAICA, i do not see my providers. We have (2) GSM providers Cable & Wireless Jamaica and Digicel Jamaica.
What you suggest ??
does your provider have to register IMEI's of phones?
it may restrict what phones you can use with them

Digicel not supporting WM6 devices
The problem is that currently Digicel is not supporting the radio firmware embedded in WM6. I found this out after upgrading my HTC P4350 to WM6 to find that I had no connectivity. I ended up being forced to downgrade to WM5. As the S710 is not available with WM5, your only option is to switch to C&W.

Thanks for the response. I was forced to switch to C&W cause the support people and Digicel had NO CLUE ... sad really ... i guess we now know who is the better network! But tell me something i noticed when using C&W the roaming symbol appears on the phone. This does not stop any features from working but i just wanted to know if you had that problem and if so how did you get rid of it.
same here. i too am facing same problem.. when i have vodafone sim i can make incoming n outgoing call but when i change to airtel i get the probs.
guyz help me out with this probs.
thnx
Dear all,
I am on vacation in Cyprus and uppon arriving I have bought a Primetel SIM card as it has free 100mb of traffic.
Primetel uses Cytavodafone netwprk and has the same internet con figuration. I am using Touch pro with stock ROM, and no modification (well I think it has the hspl as I have not reverted it), but it is using the stock FR 6.1 ROM.
The APN settings say that I should only use "internet" in the name, and that the username and password should be empty.
I have configuered a new modem connection with that specification, and I have set it to connect using it when internet is required.
It does connect to the internet, I can see the small G on the network signal bar, but I have no internet. I can not update weather, browse on internet or downlpad quickgps data.
I am using another sim card from the same provider with HD2 running android and it works perfectly.
Please if anyone could help me how make it work on WM 6.1 I would be very greatful.
Thank you all in advance.
Comle on people, please help me configure mobile internet on this device. I have done everything by the book and even though I am connected I have no internet. Is there some option I need to turn on oor off in order to make it work.
Thank you all for help.
Hello everyone.
I am from Greece, and I think that that may be the cause of the problem I am having. So the issue is that my Mobile Network isn't working at all. I'm connected to my carrier, refered to as COSMOTE which is right and I have a signal, meaning I can make and take calls etc. , but when I turn on the mobile network switch it doesn't connect. I have an already setup apn from my carrier named COSMOTE Internet and it is enabled. I did a bit of searching around the phone and on the About section in settings at the tab named Network it said : Unknown and at the Mobile Network State it said : Disconnected. By the way the Mobile Network Type is HSDPA:9
I would really appreciate it if you could come up with a response for my problem.
Regards,George.
Hi, I recently bought a LG g3 smarthphone and I found out that it's an AT&T version phone, but thankfully it's unlocked. My problem is, that it doesn't get any mobile network. In the setting it says that the Mobile network type this device can use is HSPA, my local carriers can only provide LTE, GSM and WCDMA rat types, I don't know if it's the case. I've tried to solve this on my own, but without luck. The solutions with 3845#*850# or similar codes just woun't work, when I choose any RAT it says: "succsess", but it doesn't change a thing and when I choose "LTE only mode", the phone blocks my mobile connection and says: "Restricted access changed: Data service is blocked" .
I really need any help, because I cannot see myself using a mobile phone without mobile internet. I tried to use 2G, 3G and 4G networks, but none work, nothing appears. Also I tried to fix this problem by flashing a Cloudy ROM wich is lollipop 5.0 and it didn't solve my internet problem. BTW, my location is Estonia.
I really need your help guys, I'm desperate as hell, this is my last option, because I didn't find any other solutions on my own.
Counting on you :3

I think your a little confused about your network. HSPA IS WCDMA/GSM. You want to just slept gsm/WCDMA/LTE

Flashing a ROM is not the solution. AT&T version of the LG G3 covers a limited radio frequency spectrum. It could be that the phone does not cover the frequency of your carrier. Another issue may be with the carrier themselves blocking the IMEI (I know some carriers require registering the IMEI on their network). Of course you must also make sure the carrier has data services available to you.
I kinda have the same problem....
No service.
I've tried everything to no avail.
Help gor a fix.
Hey Guys,
Suddenly this evening my phone stopped placing calls. "Mobile Network is unavailable is the message I get as dialing begins.
I have went through network reset, updated PRL, and profile successfully. It says Boost Mobile in top left corner, and Signal indicator at top right shows LTE.
In Settings/About Phone/Network It says Boost Mobile. Mobile network state is connected and I have an IP address.
In 4G settings IT lists Network Operator as "n.boost.ispsn" and shows IP address.
The APN names are Sprint/Boost related.
Boost support reviewed my info/settings and verified all is set correctly, and that my account is paid in full in good standing and nothing is stopping me from calling on their end.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it be my SIM card? Does anyone know how to run any diags that might be appropriate? Boost Zone has been replaced so I do not even have those options now. Any hidden menus I might access to shed some light on my issue?
Boost support says its hardware related and gave me the number to device support, but before I spend a couple hours on the phone or something worse I'm hoping maybe someone here has some insight.
I know some must be thinking why don;'t I call the hardware support guys? Well guys I just don't want to do it right before Christmas. I'm broke spending on others as I'm sure you all are no different. I just don't want to hear Ha, Ha you have to buy a new phone if you want to have a phone right before Christmas.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and reading this topic to begin with.
Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope it is a great one for you.
