Dear developers and friends!
You are doing a great job but not enough to make a video call in wm6 without any problem on it!
So may I ask you something?!
Will you release any version with video call support or not!!!
i as wll as others uni developers not interested in fixing videocall functionalyty .i will not spend time on feature which i never be use now or in future .. reasons may be different ,,, but in the end meainig same
I have been working on VideoCall for quite some time, am almost complete to a fully functional in and VC Telephony, but do not have time to continue working on it or anything else at the moment.
Outgoing VC has been working for some time now, there is a cab file floating around the forum to add this if you wish.
When I have more free time on my hands, I will again look at resuming the VC project and finish my work on incoming as well as polishing the outgoing VC, which is still a bit buggy.
Cheers,
Beasty

Forgive this for being a noob question, but I can't figure out how to actually use VoIP in WM6.
The only options I can find are to either turn it on or off, I can't find any options to set the SIP server or anything like that.

Hi.
So far there are 2 issues related to any Crossbow WM6 rom.
1. Video call doesnot work.
2. VOIP doesnot work.
So those who have questions related to this please wait for updates that
the developers will keep posting and one day we will all have this two
applications working.

I beg to differ. See my post http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/299950/.
I don't know about a video call, but I could get VoIP working on my WM6-Wizard-Orwell customized ROM. In regard of technology used (OMA Client Provisioning), it should work on all WM6 ROM meetings the requirements listed at the begining of my thread.

I don't think you did, as I posted it in the development forum a couple of hours a go. I added some links here and there to point back people, as this should be a hardware independent generic WM6 feature.

Yes, I can also confirm than Broadcom stack works great on new WM6 releases.
It is very fast, absorbs not much program memory, but quite a lot of storage memory
(>5MB, so I have now only 8MB on my storage space )
Works great with File Transfer, A2DP, OBEX Push, VCard Push and BT Serial
Ports (BT GPS). I will test HSP/HFP next week.
2 bugs:
- Can't turn off/on Bluetooth from Comm manager
- BT Icon in Setings->Conections is not VGA and has darker
background than Settings windows background...
Is this still in developement or abandoned?

I just installed Midget_1990 release of wm6 and cannot get A2DP to work, it skips and jumps horrendously no matter how i add or delete the custom reg hacks that have been posted.
Can anybody confirm an alternative method of fixing this, or whether this will fix it, and whether this is stable on this release or not.
Midget_1990, I noticed you have posted in this forum, could you comment, or advise on your release A2DP and or this widcomm version on your ROM?

no idea, i dont have any a2dp hardware to test.
installed widcomm/bluetooth stack found on ftp site. still beta i thin as an ex project by a rom cooker which appears to work great.
apparently, may be caused by cooked roms using the wm5 drivers. not sure if true or not.
btw widcomm is heaps better functional user friendly than the ms crap. wonder why no-one trfrd over to hermes. anyway, avrcp? doesnt work, but sound is trfrd.

Is there Videocall functionality in any ROM now available? If not, is it coming at all to WM6?
Thank you ,

VC is still a dream...
Hi mate, I follow this forum day by day, and if u have a better look you can "READ" that videocall (VC) is not available in all countries. Many of developers don't have VC in their countries, so, they can't try if that can work. In Italy we got VC, and when I need it I flash a WM5 ROM on my Universal. So, if you really want, you can start appreciate their wonderfull WM6 ROM, and you can try to understand how to make your personal one by studying their usefull guide.
Im trying to make a ROM, and I want to implement that with VC, but im too far, I've to become a "Genius" like them. Just be Patient.

It is a big question, but all your questions are answered in this huge forum already, so you have to go and do some reading and searching for yourself and you will find all your answers, plus more and you will learn a lot. You will see what people said about 6.1 and you will see waht people said about BT just by reading other threads.
Dude, theres official BT fix to download from the HTC: (Bluetooth Hot Fix (for HTC TyTN II) )

1. the vibrate function can provide you hours of enjoyment, with proper placement (external or internal, your choice)
2. install as many programs as possible, filling up both main memory and storage card, using them once or twice then never use them again. after flashing a new rom, install a new assortment of software you probably don't need.
3. re-encode your favourite pr0n to ppc scaling and impress your friends with today's pocket pr0n.
4. port over wm5 from the wizard (blinding speeds, you won't be sorry)
5. read ALL the stickies in Kaiser upgrading area of forum (this isn't near as fun as the other suggestions, but you'll be able to answer your own questions, and be comfortable in the knowledge that you can hack your phone "without any help")
1 and 3 make a nice combo too!
Yes there is a WM6.1 upgrade, i am using Shaps at the moment and it seems to work fine for me.
WM6.1 doesnt give you a huge amount new, Shaps 6.1 rom for me has been stable and quick, i dont tend to install much on my phones though other than the included stuff. I do a few bits and install TomTom. 6.1 has threaded sms which is nice but has some annoying little issues, like i cant seem to find a way to forward sms messages any more. bit annoying.
Flicking through some of the other forums people seemed to be muttering about not being able to sync there 6.1 phones with ex2003, i use ex2007 though so i cant comment, mine works fine.
Havent noticed any bad sound quality over bluetooth. Be more specific though, do you mean stereo bluetooth or just normal.
I use the htc home plugin looks nice and works well.
Hope i have helped.
Rob
ps. Remember before you rush out and start flashing roms, read the wiki and things. You have to do stuff like hard spl and things first.
If i were you i would do it in this order.
1. hard spl
2. sim unlock (if needed)
3. wm 6.1 rom
4. radio rom

If my phone is unable to boot then how can i restore back to your guava rom?
You have to re-flash it to New Guava, there is no "restore".
I'd say don't test it if you've never experienced an unusable phone
I'd like to know if people feel like me that it is faster ? It seems so.
But switching from portrait to landscape is very slow.. If someone has some knowledge of the files involved in this maybe it could be fixed.
Maybe it is because I have not ported all the files from wm 6.1 xip.
I still need to do a lot of tests here.
Hi Dr Gonzo

I'm going to flash your WM 6.1 ROM onto my Vox because I am courious what WM 6.1 is like. Is this just a plain WM 6.1 ROM or a New Guava ROM?
Roland
flashing done but my phone is stucked on mobile operator splash screen for a long time
this rom seems slower than wm6..
Damn I cant belive this. U r awesome dude!
Thanx god u had the great idea to buy the vox!
What does Unusable mean? Something like a beta version? Or an alpha? I mean can I call send sms etc? Thanx.
ok i got a screen like the one dr gonzo posted.. its gr8
speed is very very gooooooooooooooooood
here is version information
windows mobile 6.1 Standard
OS 5.2.19195
Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90
I've just flashed my phone with this ROM, it's very fast compared with WM 6, the screen quicker when the keyboard has been opend compared with WM 6, needs clear type switching on and HTC Audio Manager adding and it will be looking good, keep the revisions coming as you port more of the ROM to the Vox. Can not wait to see what yuou do with the New Guava ROM when you have fineshd porting all of WM 6.1.
Roland
dude post some screenshot!

Yep! Gprs works like a charm, wifi bluetooth not. Is there the t9? I cant find it, I trie to install the all language cab from the new guava 3d. The phone is fast very fast and quite stable too. Great work doc!
