i've already update my wizard to wm6. I did that with XP and active sync 4.5.
but know i have a new laptop with vista . and now i want to try a new rom. but i'm not able to update because the ROMUpdateUtility doesn't work with vista (windows mobile device center 6.1).
Any solutions?

use search. also use VMWare
flashing on VISTA

Hello All,
I want to do USB DUN with my Cingular Treo 750 using Windows XP and I need the modem driver. If I activate the modem on the 750, and connect it via USB, XP asks for a driver, which it cannot find. I carefully checked through the Cingular CD and there's just nothing there. Googling the problem basically turns up nothing. Any thoughts?

Anyone know of a USB Treo modem driver that works on Vista??
The one in the previous post link on to the Palm site is ONLY for XP--they suggest using Bluetooth instead!!!
well Sf-Jeff i know there is a driver out for vista...i think its somewhere on treocentral forums...hope this helps...that is where i got it from

I've new treo with Vodafone ROM (TREO750-1.14-VFD hardware version A, firmware 1.12.0a00), I've just downloaded DesktopUpdaterEN release 1.16.exe, which say me it's not Vodafone Palm Treo 750v. That one part of my problem.
second I couldn't sync with wmdc under win Vista, It always stop with result The server is busy (0x85010017)
Did you fix your problem. I have the exact same issue!!!! HELP ANYONE!

I was upgrade by miniSD now I've got wm5 aku 2.6.3, but same problem with sync with pc (win vista and wdmc)

Hi I fixed my problem with upgrade WMDC to 6.1 ...
Hi guys , can anyone tell me how to upgrade the rom in vista? due to previous experience with vista, my old XDA IIi bricked due to incomplete upgrading.. ( vista blocked )

The process still crashing or not respond !
so i flash under windows XP. It's mor safe !
I think this problem is due to the new software of synchronisation include in windows vista.
But i haven't investigate more.

I just tried last night to flash my device using my vista laptop and i just couldnt make it work.
The vista update utility is version 2.0x and i need a vista update utility 2.5.x or higher to update my G4 device
So I prefer flashin my device using my old Win XP. Any luck of a vista update utility version 2.5.x or higher??
I also follow the tutorial in modaco and i can tell you that If you have a G3 device using the vista update utility you wont have any problem.

I downloaded the Windows Mobile 6.5 Rom right from Hikey's Thread. But I'm not really satisfied with it, and I'd like to switch back to Windows Mobile 6.1 again , but I've no Idea how to do that.
I have a Second Computer running Win XP which I'm using for flashs. I also installed Active Sync 4.5..
But I have no idea where to get a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM for this Mobile Phone. I have Version 01.00.12.332.04 of the Bootloader.
Can anyone help ?

look in my rom thread under steps...think you did not flash Hard Spl before

run on xp...and also on vista or win 7...
It can be that you must install for xp....active sysnc....or in win 7 or vista...mobile device center before
update errors....
hey i had tried your rom also bt i cant update i found error 262 or 276....
means wat to soft reset i hv done it but prob. is nt solved..plz help
send me detail step by step....
at first check your usb and the cable...maybe other pc and cable....
2. install mobile device center (active sync)
3.flash hard spl
4. flash original rom +Hard reset
5. flash my rom +Hard Reset
and all of my or other coocker´s rom´s do not have those errors...i tried the most rom´s here and all flash fine
