I've new treo with Vodafone ROM (TREO750-1.14-VFD hardware version A, firmware 1.12.0a00), I've just downloaded DesktopUpdaterEN release 1.16.exe, which say me it's not Vodafone Palm Treo 750v. That one part of my problem.
second I couldn't sync with wmdc under win Vista, It always stop with result The server is busy (0x85010017)
Did you fix your problem. I have the exact same issue!!!! HELP ANYONE!

I was upgrade by miniSD now I've got wm5 aku 2.6.3, but same problem with sync with pc (win vista and wdmc)

I've upgraded my iPaq Hx2410 with the rom posted in the first post of this thread.
Everything went ok, but I don't really like WM5 (slow on my 2410, most of the softs I use are not compatible (mainly those on the today screen), etc ...).
So now I want to downgrade to WM2003se.
But when I try to flash my ipaq with a rom found on the HP support (the last english rom available : http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/locate/1120_6141.html, the flash begin correctly on the PC, then on my iPaq appears a message : "Digital sign not found", and the process stop after that.
Did someone have a solution or a hint to help me ? (I don't really want to be stuck with WM5, and want to retrieve my fast PPC under 2003se :S

I think that WM5 is really unusable on a Hx2410. This machine is really too slow and isn't reactive under wm5 and was quite unusable for me, although it's speedy under 2003se

I have tried to upgrade my pda, but everytime i try i get a screen on my pda saying "hello world" and a progress bar on my pc screen but it looks like my activesync connection is being closed and then nothing happens anymore, have tryed it with activesync 4 and 3.8

I think this problem is due to the new software of synchronisation include in windows vista.
But i haven't investigate more.

I just tried last night to flash my device using my vista laptop and i just couldnt make it work.
The vista update utility is version 2.0x and i need a vista update utility 2.5.x or higher to update my G4 device
So I prefer flashin my device using my old Win XP. Any luck of a vista update utility version 2.5.x or higher??
I also follow the tutorial in modaco and i can tell you that If you have a G3 device using the vista update utility you wont have any problem.

but know i have a new laptop with vista . and now i want to try a new rom. but i'm not able to update because the ROMUpdateUtility doesn't work with vista (windows mobile device center 6.1).

In my opinion it's not possible to register a non HTC branded device at HTC e-club, because they use different serial numbers. But you can get nearly all updates from there here in the forum.

try searching. but I don't see why you have trouble with wm6.1. WM6.1 is a lot more stable and smoother than wm6.0 in my opinion. If you have freezes, that might be due to your SPL not upgrading. All the upgrades you want is on a WM6.1. I have a tilt and I can't register on eclub either. Thats why we have the connections to xda developer community.

I am not sure if the ROM would work but even if it did you would flash some stuff you don´t need like the files for the slideout QWERTY keyboard or the scroll wheel and the front camera.
Anyway if you haven´t found this already yourself, I´d try going through this thread Jade Official ROM links

You need the specific ROM for Device to flash, otherwise all you will have is a brick...
Check the HTC Touch 3g WIKI and subforum and i'm sure you will find what you need.

When I bought my tilt on ebay, it was sluggish, and sometimes non-repsonsive on win 6.1. I did a lot of reading, and decided to flash a rom from xda. I found that my phone had been flashed before, it had olipro's first spl. After I went to jockyw2001 3.29 spl and flashed Sakajati's Rhodium, it was like night and day. It was like "can this phone really be so cool?" I've been upgrading roms ever since. Like one poster indicated, the spl might be your problem. IMHO, you'll not find any better roms than what is cooked at XDA, superior to stock in so many ways.

run on xp...and also on vista or win 7...
It can be that you must install for xp....active sysnc....or in win 7 or vista...mobile device center before
update errors....

at first check your usb and the cable...maybe other pc and cable....
2. install mobile device center (active sync)
3.flash hard spl
4. flash original rom +Hard reset
5. flash my rom +Hard Reset
and all of my or other coocker´s rom´s do not have those errors...i tried the most rom´s here and all flash fine
