Just continue to use the Eten dialer it's what I use. I use one from PaulyA and it works fine with WM6.
Kirby

do you have the cab file for the dialer? I've done some reading and some of the eten dialers have messed up on wm6...

Try this one
If you like it....I think it will work with your wizard

mike19722:
tried that one and itbut not digging the look (or just maybe not used to it)

thanks man... I installed it and it works..... ahh nice to have the orange background and large buttons

I prefer the black htc touch dialer with smart dialing:

Combined with the windows mobile black theme (wmbe) my wizard looks pretty sleek:
Why buy a new HTC Touch if you can have an upgrade for free?

If nobody buys then nobody dumps the ROM then nobody extracts the cab then you look ordinary.

My Wizard won't last forever which forces me to replace it some day. There's nothing wrong with postponing...
Then again my Wizard was expensive enough so don't try to make me feel guilty.

My next device needs to be futureproof min 1gHz CPU so I can screw up the warranty and run XP.

[Request] TyTN Green WM5 theme

can someone make this theme ?
this is the most clear and large image of it
There is one here thats fairly close http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52530&start=50
I'd also like the TyTN theme.
meschle the first one is very good, but i want the original one as in the screenshot
Me too
I would like my HTC Wizard to look like the following screenschots:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Maybe this is a good topic to collect all info!?
[edit]
TIP: For Pocket Informant users use the Nature Color Scheme to match this theme

Guys, I was at the Modaco meeting this weekend, and one of the Microsoft guys there said that the green theme has just been given legal clearance to be released to the public.
Give it a while and then we can start bugging them if they don't release it.

Has anyone of you any idea on how to switch back to the traditional blue colored homescreen ?
Would that be an easy task or require modification of the firmware ?
Asking urgently for advice !
Thanks.
It's a Theme
Settings->Today :roll:
As I see there is still no info about the green htc theme ....
is there any tytn roms avaliable for download? maybe i will be able to dump one a get the theme from there.
I think the Theme is just a .TSK file in the \Windows folder.
The only thing different is the CommManager.. ..you can't skin that yourself. So you have to extract that.
Havn't seen any ROM for the TyTN yet
Here is the HTC TyTN Theme. This will not change the Phone Skin or Comm Manager Application
sweet thanks!!!!
thanks a lot rkorzuch i have searched for this theme a lot
thank you for sharing!
that green is hard to match!
HTC_default.tsk vs HTC_default using start image theme
Ben thon sent me an updated HTC_default.tsk theme he made using start image only (no tdywater.gif). Ben noted there were differences between the 2 themes even though they use identical color keys and images.
This may be because WM5 chooses dominant color in the Today image.
The differences seen are in the title bar and menu text - see pics
Please try both versions and post your results.
I have attached both tsk files the normal one without the system attributes that made it hard to copy theme via activesync.

Vista Style Iphone-ish Dialer... AWESOME!

I founf this dialer and to me, its perfect... I wish you could change the background, but oh well... to install, run the cab on your device and soft reset

Which device is this for then?
Unfortunately this is for Wisebar Advance. It's not a MOD for the default dialer.
Works Great!
I installed the .cab. Works Great. I don't have Wisebar. Its cool.
I like it -- I Love it --- I want some more of it.
Thanks!
Cool Beans gonna test it.
It installed no problem on my HTC Touch. Remember do a soft reset after you install the .cab file.
Really nice Dial Pad:
Pros:
- Nice looking.
- Slightly bigger digit keys compared to the default dialer
- When a call is in progress the END key is nice and big. I like that!
- When in a call the Mute, Contacts, Hold Call, Mic Mute, Speaker ON and Notes are a lot bigger compared to the default dialer
Cons:
- No SmartDial
- The Incoming phone number and name of the person are still small. I wish developers would realize, I'd rather have the persons' name / phone number showing up in big font, rather than the "Incoming Call..." in big font. I'm using S2U2 to get a bigger Name and Phone number, but I'd rather have 1 app that included this.
- There's a shimmering effect (a la Vista theme) that goes from the top right of the screen through the 6, 9 and 0 digits. I wish you could get rid of this, I haven't found a way to do it. It's a minor gripe.

Why does our 6.1 have a different Today screen?

Hi, just wondering why all the ROMs on here for WM 6.1 don't use the new WM 6.1 Today screen seen elsewhere?

This is just a guess, but the link you provided said that the device they were using was a "Samsung Blackjack II" which is a smartphone (non-touchscreen).

You are perfectly right.
Thats for Smartphone, not PocketPc.
Why not Pro? This looks pretty good!
Why wouldn't they make this available for Professional? This looks pretty good to me...just my opinion. Why would they make the smartphone version have functionality that the Pro. version can't have?

Smartphone's handle Today screens very differently to PPCs. With a PPC, you have a theme that controls the background image and colours, then you have individual Today plug-ins that you can move and control independently.
With a Smartphone, you install the theme and that determines the background image, colour, and EVERYTHING that is displayed on the front screen - it sets where your unread messages notification goes, where your missed calls display, etc. You cannot install anything else onto your front screen, you'd have to make and install a different theme. This makes an integrated, attractive front screen easier to make on a Smartphone, but makes personalising yours a lot harder.
I think what MS is trying to do with this aspect of WM6.1 is make the Smartphone front end more user-friendly and, crucially, useful so you don't have to go delving into the menus to do things (that we can already do on PPCs by downloading a plug-in). I've reading this as MS's attempt to bring the Smartphone's front screen closer to the usablility of the PPC's, rather than it moving ahead.
[disclaimer] I haven't looked at a Smartphone since I moved from my Typhoon to my Magician, so it might've all changed since my day! [/disclaimer]
Here you can see the different devices thats running mobile 6.1
You see the TyTn II at 5 minutes

Perfect, thanks!
Beware,I disabled the previous HTC Home .
will this one be as default in the new rom?
no, i like the standard htc home, but you can install this..why not
Many thanks Michy
Works with Igo8
Some feedback for you Michy.
I tried your R3 version and couldn't use Igo with the htc home you had so I flashed back to your 2.04d which I was very happy with.
I just installed this cab and can report that Igo8 does work and it seems with a little more free memory.
I like the large clock and pics in the contacts pane and had used a htc home based on touch commander but found it used too much resources.
Is it possible to put this in a version of your R4 rom when you release it
thanks lakeman
thanks michy,excellent work !
thanks michy
For other language version of ROM You will have change numbers in name of MUI and XML files acording to proper language code . Form Polish ROM's change for 415
big thanks michy!!!
thank you all for ur compliments
Customization
Is it possible to customize like yhe other one?
Thanks very good
yes if you have/make theme files.
top/bottom bars and fonts?
Hey Michi, thanks for all your work. What theme are you using to get the top/bottom bars and the nice small fonts. I'm using your Diamond VGA from the latest ROM and the font is too big, have to scroll through calendar. I want my screen just like your screenshot in the first post here.
try to set realvga to 96 dpi. you can find it in control panel.
Thanks, Michi. Looks Great with 96!. Phone display not so much. I'll keep surfing. I owe you a beer for the rom though.
because you checked Disable phone skin. You have to uncheck it and reapply 96dpi mode.
michyprima,
Don't mean to sound like such a Newbie but is the Cab file you posted above (or below depending how you sort) the rom that can be flashed onto a 7510? Or was this intended to be used on the 7500 or 7501 only?
Regards,
Q
it is a cab of the x7510 big clock. Can be installed on all vga devices.
I've installed successfully, however I can't select the city at weather page and add the icons. Anyone know the problem?
Is using WM 6.0 problem?
Thanks for any kindly help

[REQ] HD Mini TSK Theme [WVGA]

I don't know if it's been asked before, god knows I've searched and searched and haven't found anything yet.. Doesn't mean I didn't miss it.
I was wondering if anyone had ported the HVGA HD Mini TSK Theme to WVGA yet and if anyone has, maybe you'd consider sharing it?
If nobody has done it yet then maybe it'll be worth porting? Visually, it looks really sharp and I think it would be great to see it get re-done in WVGA.
The black recessed soft-keys and black top-bar as well as the background are what I'm referring to in case you weren't sure. If necessary, I can post all the original files from the HD Mini ROM for whoever decides to take on the project.

Close enough for me
Thanks for the quick reply!
EDIT:: Went and took a closer look at the theme and it's files and it's an all-inclusive theme. I don't want any of the extra stuff that he includes so I'd still really like to get my hands on a ported version of the HD Mini Theme.
So do I!!!!
The HD mini theme is just how WM6.5.X should look on our phones, with good positionning of the soft keys (not in the middle....) and no useless start key!!
I'm very interrested in a WVGA version of this theme!
no start. close. done button
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=114259
takes away three useless buttons.
use back as close or done.
MUST HAVE A HARDWARE START BUTTON!
great but..
is this also solving for example softbutton All Docu... to All Documents like in 21898 ???
