Hi!
Yes I am using it with Blue Elfin ROM V3.0 and it works like a charm. Very recommendable.
JohnQ, you can download the BBConnect software here:
http://www.sems.org/entry.asp?entry_id=276
Choose the 4.0.0.92 version.
I would also download and install the Blackberry Connect Desktop for Windows Mobile as it is the best way to activate the Blackberry service in your Touch when you have problems to do it wiressly. Find the link and manuals here:

Hi
It seems that 4.0.0.97 will only work on release ROMS, it hates cooked ROMS and will connect for about 3 seconds before disconnecting.
If you get a connect for a few seconds then the connection drops it is because you're using a cooked ROM.
My P3450's blackberry client only works on WM6.1 release ROMS.
I'm currently running 4.0.0.97 on the following:
Device:-----------------HTC Touch P3450
ROM Version:------------2.20.707.1B WWE
ROM Date:---------------10/02/07
Radio Version:----------03.12.90
Protocol Version:-------4.1.13.56

Hi,
BB Connect works like a charm here (plz pay attention to wm standard and wm pro versions on www.sems.org). I am using 4.0.0.97 on wm6.1 pro (tested on these roms: merlot, blue elfin) ....
the trick is:
1. Install a regeditor (e.g. PHM Editor)
2. Change the reg-key HKLM\System\Versions - Aku to .0.4.2 (yes, with starting dot)
Install BB connect ...

In my case I didn't need to do an RegEditing as my ROM is a release ROM and it already had the AKU setting but that is a very good point indeed!

R 1.65.16.25
G 25.83.40.02H
D 3.28.00.00
I was installing BB 4.0.0.97
Change settings as above and it didn't work..
Can anyone post the link for a WM 6.1 pro that they know (tested) it will support bb connect.??
Thank you
Edit: I've got TYTN II and 4.0.0.97 was working perfectly with factory WM6.0
hi all,
i have managed to get blackberry connect 4.0.0.97 working on a hermes 300 with a cooked ROM "MRH 6.3 Rainbow" using the regedit method, the rom is a 6.1 rom
however i am getting strange extra mailboxes on my device with hex names similar to the issue that can become apparent if a blackberry user was to accidently install the BES software on to their computer then sync. where the device trys to register itself with a BES and fails
anyone got any idea what is going on here? as it has me baffled
***edit***
i also get an error message telling me that there is not enough storage, and that i should delete some messages when the service books are sent down to the phone

Hello together.
Up to now no one is able to get bbconnect working on the new maschines like touch cruise. I carefully read almost every bbc threat and the only solution is to hex edit the os version. I successfully did the hex hack for my wizard with every os version I used (see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard_version_hack).
Now I concentrate on the os of the touch cruise. The target is to get BBC 2.1.2.31 working on the TC.
Changing the AKU string to .2.0.0 is easy.
Changing the modelname from HTC-Polaris to HTC-WIZARD works and BBC recognises my TC as a Wizard.
Now I have to change the os version from for example 5.2.19960 (uDK Diamond R4 , thx for that great os) to 5.1.195. The hex edit to 5.1.19960 works.
But I can't find the hex values in the coredll.dll to change from 19960 to 195.
Can someone help me? Any idea is appreciated.
PS: I want/must (to) use the Blackberry service and not something from MS or third party solutions.
THX to erveryone who is involved in os building. Great work!!!!

Im tying to change in HEX Editor the Signatures. For example there are DIAM100 (or DIAM10000) and build 19588. I changed it to HERM200 and 19588->17745. I can change it without changing the size of .nbh. But thre are "Diamont" Signatures too and by changing Diamong->Hermes wir have one less character (7->6). It changed the size of the .nbh.
So im trying to flash it to the Diamond nad about 96% OK, but then ROM flash error.
A meaning of it all is that it have to work, because RIM asks the Number and NAME and then when its in the list->OK, NO->pending.
I need some tools like SSPL 1.34 and ROMUpdate Utility that dont asks of CRC or something else.

What happens when changing the OS Version?
Changing the MinorV and MajorV in the registry has no effect.
They were able to get BCC 4.0.0.100 working on the Diamond with OS 5.2.20270. So I hex edited the HTC-Polaris string to HTC-Diamond and BBC recognize my XDA Touch Cruise as a Diamond. My Carrier is Vodafone D and I think this is the reason why it does not work.
Any solutions?

I have a bb enabled sim card
I am the bb admin at my company
and i also have a bb to test the network availability.
Can you tell me how did you change the string into HTC-Diamond, or upload the allready changed nbh , in order to test it with my sim ?
Use a hex editor directly with the nbh file.
Search for
4800540043002D0050006F006C006100720069007300 (H T C - P o l a r i s )

4800540043002D004400690061006D006F006E006400 (H T C - D i a m o n d )
Save it and flash.
After that my BBC recognize my Poalris as a Diamond in the BBC About tab.
I choose the 20270 os version because the same os version is working on the Diamond with BBC100.

Do you mean that bbconnect is working on your polaris.
I just received mine but it's a WM6 version so how can I managed to make bbconnect working?
I need help because i promised my boss it would work and that's why he agreed buying two devices.
Thanks
It is not working !!!!!!!!
Vodafone D doesn't support the Touch Cruise. So it will never work on a normal way.
HOW TO?
Hey Ratze,
I'm not an advanced tweaker so I need some help.
Can you explain me how to find the nbh file, what is this file and how to edit it (i know it's with a registry editor but is it on the devis or on the pc)?
Thnaks very much in advance for your comprehension.
giuliano_m13,
I did some test with different device types and the changes I made have no influence on the system version number submitted to RIM .
I'm sorry, this was not the right way.
I'm still searching.

And a question for one of the chefs:
What happens if i select KAISE**** instead of POLA**** when building a rom ?
Can that rom be flashed on a polaris ?
Thanks in advance.
i managed to get a pin using version 103
and everything seemed to be ok
but the next day i wasn't able to get a connection.
I tried a few soft resets, reinstallation, but nothing changed:
i had a pin but no connection.
After a hard reset i didn't get a pin or a connection.

Anybody try this on a Tilt yet?
It's an old ROM, HTC is acting weird.
was talking to parleyp on aim about it, he ripped it apart in a kitchen and got the build number.
This is a good old build. I installed it and had to flash another radio. It is fast and stable, but it is very similar to 3.34. I have no idea why HTC re-released it and now of all times. It has the exact same drivers as the previous ROM also.
Quickly Speed!
I already installed the new ROM, it seems that the speed is very quickly.
New Rom introduce:
CE OS 5.2.19212(Build 19212.1.0.3)
ROM version: 3.29.422.1 WWE
ROM date: 05/20/08
Radio version: 1.65.20.29
Protocol version: 25.88.40.04H
new one probably.
old release had the following details:
3.29.707.0
25.83.40.02
1.65.16.25
which site did you find it? thinking of downloading...

yep 19212...actually the last official shipped was 19214...
I´m testing it, seems to run very well, gps faster.....
But I have an issue, cannot connect to wpa2-psk/tkip wifi networks, but to open/wep/wpa/AES and wpa2/AES with no problem.
It also doesn´t detect anymore the wifi network type, I have to manually select the authentication and encryption type, before flashing, it worked.
Any hints about how to solve this?
Possible its an older ROM that has been tweaked for improvements?
Found the problem
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters]
DisableWPA whas set to 1 and it must be 0
Its an old release. I'm using it for like 6months back d, start when i bought my kaiser in Malaysia. the 3.34 version is much powerful compare with this version. much stable and the radio function make your camera and gps work faster and more stable.

Hi everybody,
i've got some Problems with upgrading my HTC prophet (G4).
First I installed a ROM with WM 6.5 from Miri.
It works great but now I found a german Version of WM 6.5 (Build 23060).
So I downloaded all files for upgrading (Look Here) and tried to install the files to my HTC.
Everything works fine until it loads the boot screen.
The boot screen is loading (looks like 3 colors or so) and the setup hangs up and I got an error.
What can I do now?
Here are my device informations:

ROM Date 07.02.09
Radio 02.69.21

Dear all,
a few days ago Microsoft updated its mail server (s.outlook.com Exchange Active Sync) with a new SSL certificate using the SHA-2. SHA-1 is abandonned and therefore device under windows mobile 6.1 and 6.5 can no longer synchronise to theirs emails, contact, calendar
I still use an HTC Diamond 1 under windows mobile 6.1 and now i can no longer access my emails, contacts, calendar.
is there a ROM for HTC Diamond that supports SHA-2 algorithms for SSL connections ?
another solution should be to have windows mobile 6.5 WEH (windows embedded Handled) with AKU 35 as it supports SHA-2, it is explained here (microsoft support kb/2986556)
(For devices using Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5, SHA2 support is added in AKU 35, released in August 2014. Users should check with their OEMs to make sure that their device is running an image built on AKU 35 or later.)
is this possible ?
thanks for your help

"Hi
My HTC diamond was under wm 6.1 ans is still under wm6.1.
it's just that i changed the crypt32.dll package so that it supports SHA-2
I used OsKitchen zero version 1.33.5 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628948
and windows mobile mobile build 29326 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64935543#post64935543
First, in Os Kitchen import the windows build 29326
then I downloaded the last official rom for my HTC diamond (in your case the last official rom for your device), extracted it using OS Kitchen
then from the directory where you extracted the windows build from the rom let say C:\OsKitchen\Sources\Windows Mobile Builds\20764\Common\MSXIPKernel (your build number may differ, my HTC dimaond is WM6.1 build 20764)
you replace the crypt32.dll directory by the one found in C:\OsKitchen\Sources\Windows Mobile Builds\29326\Common\MSXIPKernel
Start building the rom, flash it to your device
the last step will be to install the certificate of s.outlook.com on your device, you can create it this certificate file using a browser on s.outlook.com and clicking the lock icon on the address bar
let me know if it's works.
dont't worry, if it does not work (which i doubt) you can revert to the official rom.
