Request: MSN Direct for non-smart phones? - General Topics

It is the news that MSN Direct now has a beta for smart phones. Unfortunately the installer is *only* happy with smart-phones and not WM6 devices with touch screens.
Anyone out there know of a work around to get it installed on a e.g. T-mobile wing?

WM 6 (on Treo 750) and Blackberry Connect

Hi all - I have an unlocked Treo 750 which is running WM 6. Am loving the device so far - runs circles around my old BB Curve except for one BIG gripe...
Given that MS and Palm are marketing the handset as a "business handset", its pretty darn surprising to me that there is no "official" version of BBC (Blackberry Connect) on it....
Am I missing something out or is there an "unofficial" or cracked/ hacked version that will allow me to send/ receive emails via BBC on this device? If there is nothing available yet, any timelines re: when we can expect a BBC update for the Treo 750s on WM 6?
Also if I downgrade to WM 5, which versions of BBC have proven to run smoothly on it?
Thanks very much in advance for helping me out folks - much appreciated!

Any 3UK users on WM devices? - Touch Diamond...

has anyone got 3 (UK) to work properly on a windows mobile device/pocket pc?
(MMS don't matter - but internet does)
my tytn/hermes is broken (screen) and not worth repairing so i can't test/try.
been using a K850i since.
I want to buy the HTC Touch Diamond next month (sim-free) and have year left in my 3 contract.
if anyone could share their experiences with 3 on windows mobile i'd be grateful.
I'm using 3 on my Atom Life. Works really well, make sure to use this cab to load your settings if the device doesn't already have them built in.
thanks, there are a few cabs around but people i asked couldn't use 3.
I've not had any problems using an HTC Trinity on 3UK.
It's worked with WM5, WM6 and 6.1.
No problem with internet access or MMS.
Just don't seem to be able to get at all of 3's interactive services from WM phone. (ie video weather etc), but when you've got internet access it doesn't really matter.

No mobile Skype anymore

I searched on xda but didn't see if someone already posted this. If this is already old news, please delete this thread. Thanks.
Skype is no longer developed for Winmo: http://www.skype.com/mobile/
They are introducing Blackberry and Android: http://www.skype.com/mobile/reminder/
It still works on my HD2 though.
Skype 3.0 for Windows Mobile
Skype 3.0 for Windows Mobile can be found at the following link: http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windowsmobile/
There is no mention of Windows Mobile on the homepage; however Skype did sign a contract with Verizon Wireless and that is now up on Skype's web page. I can tell you it works on my Touch Pro 2 with Wi-Fi. I hope this helps; take care!

application needed

is there is any way to make "Whatsapp" application work on my htc touch pro 2?
I am also trying to download this application, but it seems it only supports Iphone & Blackberry.
On their official web page they say it will be soon abailable for androin and symbian, but notning about windows devices.
If anybody knows how to hack the program so it works on our TP2, I'll bee very thankfull...

Unfortunately,Viesulas Skype for Windows phones are no longer available for download from Skype.
Skype has chosen to withdraw Skype for Windows phones because they want to offer their new customers an improved mobile experience – much like the version that has proved so popular on the iPhone, and which is now available on Symbian phones.
Skype's aim is providing a rich user experience that allows users to enjoy free Skype-to-Skype and low cost calls as easily on the move as users do with thier desktop.
Skype felt that Skype for Windows phones were not offering the best possible Skype experience.
Therefore skype will not function on any wm operating system.
PS Viesulas even if you install the skype.cab on your touch2 wm6.5 skype will still not fuction, as they have discontinued to offer thier service on the wm6.5 os.

Dude I'm a heavy skype user. Skype it's working on my touch2, TYTN II, Excalibur and HD2 all of them runnning WM 6.5 I can guarantee that. Service is still good and running normally for WM platform, the only thing not available is the cab download anymore on the skype website.
