Am not really new to flashing as have sucessfully flashed handfuls of ROMs but I do appear to have caused a small hiccup with my SIM.
I successfully upgraded my radio to a win mobile 6.1 compatible one and then flashed a version of 6.1 with no problems at all.
Decided then to revert back to mobile 6 and a different radio to the default radio I was using. (12.29) after putting on 12.32 and rebooting I get the "NETWORK IS LOCKED" message "Please input unlock code"
Is my only option out of this to call my provider (Orange) Or will the SIM unlocker (stickied at the top of this forum)work after a SIM has been locked??? I guess that is its function but it does not qualify that.

Network lock needs to be removed with a code from Orange, just tell them y ou are going overseas and need to use a forigen sim in it

I tried this with 3 different wm6/6.1 roms, but everything works except the phone. I cannot unlock the sim card. It complains "unknown sim status", I know this sim card works, because I tried it in another phone. I have a vodafone dual sim card and if I swap them around, it always works in my motorola phone, but never in my wizard 9100.

I am pretty sure my sim lock is removed, but to make sure I reran the lokiwiz, which did not seem to matter.

Same deal to me, and with a Vodafone SIM too
The unlock code works and then when I type the PIN, the "Unknown SIM status" is always appearing.. grrr
If anyone with a vodafone card found out the solution, please let me (or us) know
Here vodafone sim works fine. No issues of phone, pin or whatever. Did you try with another vodafone SIM?
I have little problem with my treo 750.
When i have two (or less) mark of range i cant make and recive a call.
Call in progress - dialing - hanging up.
I can't make internet connection too.
(I try using treo on GSM, AUTO and UMTS. Band change dont help.)
When i have full range everything is ok.
Does someone have similar problem ?

I seem to have a similar problem with my treo 750.
I recently unlocked it using the cheetahunlocker as it was locked to vodafone.
I had previously already updated my mobile to windows mobile 6.1 using the desktop updater.
When I installed the hard_spl and changed the rom, the program crashed and stopped working. I then looked around for a workaround and copied the unlocker program to the phone and unlocked it successfully (also used the 2nd CID? unlock).
I then used the sd card method to flash the radio (obtained rom from the desktop updater I had).
The phone booted and I did a hard reset.
The sim I tried on the mobile are a t-mobile sim , a vodafone sim and an o2 sim.
The phone seems unlocked as the t-mobile sim works.
However, it is impossible to make a call and the phone hangs up as soon as I dial. What precisely happens is that I dial a number, the phone says dialing and then hanging up.
I tried another hard reset.
I tried to use the program in my temp folder which came with the desktop updater recovery tool but that did not work either?
I tried messing around with the band and gsm/utms/auto without success?
Is there anything else I can try?
Hey, i had my vox unlocked today and basically any sim card apart from orange just says "Searching.." all the time (o2, vodafone and t-mobile) is there a cause for this? btw im running windows mobile 6.5 rom rather than the stock orange rom
but i have entered the unlock code given and it removed the white screen but just no signal at all
If you go to Settings\Phone\Networks, whats set in "Network Selection"?

I've used the method described in the Sim Unlock thread to generate my code, but I can't get the unlock code request (dialogue box) to come up on the phone. I've turned it off and inserted a different SIM (it was originally O2, now it's GiffGaff, although I believe they use the O2 network) but I don't get the prompt to enter my unlock code. I can scan for networks and register on the O2 network, but I get No Service errors.
Tried a variety of ROMS. I got asked for the code on a Cyanogen one but it always refused it and asked for it at every boot. I've also SuperCID'd to 11111111.
Any clues?
Just reset phone to 1.78 stock and on first boot spotted a message "Restricted Access Changed". Does this mean anything?
So it would appear that putting a GiffGaff sim into an O2 locked phone won't trigger the unlock request. But putting a T-Mobile one in does. It's accepted the code, but I'm still getting 0 bars of reception.
Does anyone has any ideas?
Hello people, I'm trying to use a Claro sim card on my Personal phone (both carriers are argentinian), but can't get it to work.
The Claro card works on other phones. Mi xt925 is running CM 10.1.3 and the correct baseband (100700.220.62.33p).
It even showed me the gsm menu from Claro but no option worked, and still have no signal and get "Network not available" error.
I get something about the sim can be registered in Claro Argentina (as I said, the sim is working with no problem on other phones) when tryng to choose network.
I already have and unlock code, and don't have another sim (from a different carrier) to test it.
Is there anyway to force the phone to ask for the code?
EDIT: In case someones gets to this post, I fixed it going back to stock rom by using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38190729.
I put my sim card in and automatically asked me for the code.
