Hello @ all,
I have often problems with reminders, too, as posted by others before. When phone is resetted, the reminders drive me to hell. I tried check notification, but I am not able to get this again workin normal...
Check notification seems not to work properly, or probably I am doing something wrong... When I hit in the options delete duplicate reminders, nothing happens. When I then hit "clear", all my reminders are deleted...
But now, I have another issue: Reminders are not stoppable because there does not appear the info where i can dismiss it...
It's very poor for MS, that this problem exists since OS 2003 and seems to be still in WM6...
Hope that someon has some hitns for me...
the best solution is memmaid (www.dinarsoft.com), but it's not free
Hi zoki!
Thanks for your answer. That too is new to me... I'll give it a try, there's a 15 das limited trial available...

I'll second Memmaid. This tool is great for cleaning stuff up (bad notifications, bad links, etc).
I installed it and had a look on it...
In the notification queue I see hundreds of reminders. Its OK, I am using my calendar very intensive...
So, I searched for duplicated items (is that really the problem for my issue?!). Found two, deleted them, restarted my nice phone, and again: my phone reminds me for i dont know, 5 to 10 notifications at one time. sounds nice, when two rings are ringing at one time but it nerves...
what can I do to solve my probelm with this tool?!
so, I have many items there:
calendar.exe
clock.exe (more than three!). I think that there's the problem?! I would say only three should be there...?!
for following items i have no clue what they are,...
tmail.exe
calupd.exe
sqmevent.exe
enrollnot.exe
\\.\Notifications\NamedEvents\SCRIPT:0x0
clocknot.exe
repllog.exe
calnot.exe
Reminders problem
OK, I don't use reminders, but try this: Turn off notifications before resetting your device. I don't remember if there is a setting in the calendar program for this, as I use pocket informant, but probably there is. Then, after resetting, turn them back on. This might at least stop it reminding you about past events. If this doesn't work, you can try turning them off in the "Sounds and Notifications" program in the Settings folder. Then turn them back on after resetting.
Good luck,
I don't think this will solve dbsoundz's problems. I had the same thing yesterday morning, my alarm woke me up on the normal programmed time, but there's no button to dismiss it. Even switching of the alarm doesn't work, it keeps up going. Only by hard-reset I was able to solve this.
Thanks for discussion...
what have I done: I deleted all the items with "clock.exe". After that, my phone was not again ringing wild on phone startup . So far so good.
But:
the problem with the missing notification of reminders still exists
hm... it still rings once on startup. but the ringtone is another then edited in the sound settings under "reminders"... but thank god, no ringing orchestra any more... and still w/o "dismiss"-notification
It sounds to me like a time zone problem! Try going to a different time zone let it chnage and then wait a couple of secs and chnage back!
Hi funman,
thanks for your reply.
I tried your suggestion. but it didn't help. Same problems as before. I was also sceptical about that, because I don't think that there's the problem. As described, the phone makes still a ring orchestra at start up and the reminders are totally different from settings in the sounds/notification settings... very strange. And there's still no notification baloon where I could "dismiss" it...
Hi, I have an o2 XDA Mini (s), and have had the same problem on my old xda 2. What happens is that I have a daily alarm set, and then when I go to change the time, eg; when I go abroad, or for daylight savings, it seems to not update the alarms so I then have alarms going off at unusual times that I cannot turn off, I have tried syncing to get the pda to get the PC's time, I have tried changing timezones, from GMT to Casablanca, and turning off all the alarms, soft reseting the phone. Does anybody have any ideas or clues, or have had this problem in the past?
Thanks
TOM
google for scary bear check notification
I have installed it, but it doesn't seem to even appear on the list? Any other ideas?
Thanks
TOM
Solved it!
What I had to do to slove this issue was to change the time from GMT to Casablanca, click ok, then get rid of all the alarms switch them off and de-select all the days, then click ok, then switch back to GMT, click ok, and don't switch on the alarms for 24hours. That solved the problem for me. Now, no more annoying alarms going off!
Weird, but this morning I woke up to a non-functional calendar alert. No audible or vibe. Calendar still working fine otherwise, like it's in silent mode tho.All my other alerts, email etc. are as usual. I found my mobile shell had taken a total dump during the nite also. Could not access any shell screens or options. I somehow think this more than mere coincidence. I removed shell and soft reset. No change. I'll probably hard reset it back to factory sets maybe later. Tomorrow I've got a touch dual arriving, so that'll take my mind off the cruise for awhile. Comments anyone?
that's odd. I don't have an answer, but I do have a related question (not much help to you, cdbreze )
I was wondering if there was any way to limit the calender alerts to a single event and to stop alerts from turning on the screen. For example, if I am listening to music and the phone is in my pocket/bag and an alert goes off, it keeps beeping every 30s or so ad infinitum so that I actually have to get the phone out and 'dismiss' it. Worse, it turns on the touch screen, which means the phone starts dialing, deleting messages etc. Ideas?
notification queue's corrupt

...you can clean it with a number of tools available here. shouldn't need a hard reset.
I tried memmaid and set it to clean all that stuff out. Then it was suggested to me to try pocketmax alarm which I liked alot and am still running it as I like it's features. It didn`t help tho. Then I was beginning to lean toward a hard reset when I plugged it into my laptop via usb as the batt was pretty low. It always auto syncs even tho everything is already synced wirelessly. And...Viola! it starts working perfectly again. The usb sync did it. All is well again.
@fatgymteacher..For my calendar alerts I have the box checked to repeat as I want to make sure I get the alert. I don`t know about not having the screen lite up , a reg edit perhaps. But for the other if you go to start menu > settings > sounds > notifications there is a box for a repeat option. Find reminders then see if it's checked to repeat.
doh! i should have seen that. I swear I hunted around for hours trying to find that damn 'repeat' option. Thx!
..still lost
...well...i'm still with no alerts or calendar. my life is a mess.
one night my prophet had something , and when it woke up was in year 23xxx, from then i just cant put my calendar alerts...allerting. even with usb sync, hard reset. nothing. i'm searching for wm6 rom upgrading, anyone think this is going to correct?
contact manager link to calendar
Hello,
I own a TC, running a WM6.1 ROM and supposedly, the Contact manager sould link the Birthday field of a contact with the Calendar, so that whenever you enter someone's details, you needn't repeat the same action in the Calendar. Filling in the Birthaday field of an Outlook contact doesn't seem to trigger any reaction of the Calendar application, or any, for that matter..
Can somebody help me restore this link/function?
thank you.
I searched the Raphael forums for this and did not find an answer so here is the problem.
My HTC FUZE is running the stock rom with TF3D and my alarm did not go off this morning. I had a calender event scheduled with a 15 min reminder for 8 am and an alarm set for 9 am. The calender event went off as planned but with such a quiet noise it didn't wake me up, and I did not dismiss it obviously. So then the alarm notification also did not go off because there was already one notification that was not dismissed yet. When I check the title bar and click the alarm icon that is there, is brings up both of the two notifications at the bottom of the screen and I can dismiss them. If there is no calender event to dismiss it works fine. I still have to click on the title bar to get it to pop up at the bottom at all though. So I am hesitant to make any calender events with alarms at all for fear that my alarm clock won't work!!!!
Please provide any insight into this that you can!!! Thanks in advance...
Without any calander events and an alarm set for 6:15AM, it has failed to go off every day since I've had the phone. I just installed pTravelAlarm, the same one I used on my Tilt, and it's been working fine.
Not a Fuze issue - rather, a Window's Mobile problem - well documented -
I installed g-alarm and it warned that my device (Fuze) may suffer from a notification bug and that it had to reboot to fix it (guessing registry fix). So apparently someone's aware of the alarm bug/issue.
Haven't had any issues since though (with gAlarm)
I too have the alarm bug on my Fuze running latest ROMeOS. Going to give gAlarm a try like others have suggested.

Guess that is what I will try also. It definitely sounds like a WM bug...
I also have an alarm problem, although lights go off, the alarm doesn't ring. I also have problems with ringing on incoming calls. The speaker otherwise works fine. I have Natfv4.0 installed. Do any of the roms fix this problem?
my
TP's alarm works but the notification dosent pop up to give me the option to dismiss it? how do i fix that?
Is there a registry fix for this?
I don't get pop-up windows any more - I think since i turned off threaded SMS.
Wasn't that an initial problem with the Fuze? I remember having that issue. Just flash to a newer build OS and you'll be fine.
Work phone, not an option.
Surely there's a registry doodad I can change?
It's a Windows Mobile problem as noted, something about duplicated notifications. One suggestion was to download sktools, and use that to clear up your notification que. It is a registry thing I believe, but it's rather a pain in the butt to find where the notifications are and what to delete. SKtools Lite I think can do it, I know it can scan the notification queue and clear it up, but I've never had the problem so far. Would think that Microsoft would have at least made sure the alarm function of a business phone works.
Hi guys! I need an alarm that can repeat the sound at intervals (5/10/15 minutes) and support snooze also at different intervals (5/10/15 minutes). Any idea would be much appreciated Thanks!
G-Alarm will do it for you.
Thanks, works like a charm.

If you prefer the basic WM alarms with the snooze options, you can install the attached cab which will disable the crippled HTC one, and bring back the original WM alarm snoozing options.
Be warned that some top taskbar replacement breaks the snooze option even if you have applied the cab attached here.
hi
how do you install al those things on the hd2?
many thanks grz
you could try klaxon... worked on diamond, not tried it on HD2.
its better than g-alarm (imo) as you can just flip the phone which will set the snooze, or shake the phone to turn off the alarm.
G-alarm has the same function you say klaxon has.
You can tell it to snooze or go off when you flip the phone or shake it.
Yeap, I can confirm, G-Alarm has all that.
Simpler solution (you have the original WM6.1 reminders):
With any registry editor, you have to go to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Shell\Notification\OEM and then rename the following string "CustomUIDLL" in "CustomUIDLLX" ; then you can go back if you need. Soft reset and voilĂ !

Hi, new member so please excuse me if I'm asking something that seems daft to you more experienced guys, but where you say that the HTC alarm is crippled, what is that about?
The reason I ask, is because I have noticed that my alarm did not seem to be working for the last few days (had my HD2 for around 3 weeks now), and I set it to go off 5 mins ahead to test it, and it beeped once rather than playing the alarm tone that I had set.
Is that what you were referring to when you say that the HTC one is crippled?
Thanks in advance.
Something to keep in mind... I have had a problem since moving to the HD2 where G-Alarm would fail to go off. I woke up late a couple of times to find a windows error message about G-Alarm. Obviously it had tried to go off and failed.
Of course I cant rule out it being affected by something else I have installed or done, but for now I have switched to the HTC alarm and not had any problems.
G-Alarm has a 10day trial though so you can give it a go and just use another backup alarm while you are testing.

do you not have to 'complete a puzzle' before the alarm goes off on g-alarm? or can you opt out of this?
