I have the 8925 and my friend has the HTC Kaiser and we both experience issues with the speaker phone while on a call...
There are times if we place a call on speaker while its still ringing before they answer, they complain that they cant hear us and only hear like every few words.. off speaker they can hear us fine...
Is this a known issue or is there some adjustment or tweak we can make or check to see if this improves..
8925 is running Schab Kaiser Rom
HTC Kaiser is running original rom from HTC
i've had complaints as well about my speakerphone, they say they can't hear me too well....apparently a lot of people have this problem. I don't think there's any fix out for this...I wish tho....i miss my speakerphone.
Problems with my speakerphone also. I have not found any fix.
I have been through 5 replacements (for various reasons), and all have the same issue.
I am facing the same problem with my HTC TyTN II. Even after using DuTTy's v4 RTM ROM, there has been no fix.
I request all the Chef's or experts who can look into this problem and revert a quick solution to this.

Hi, im new, and a few days ago my Vox started to have problems with the sound, when i make a call im not able to hear anything from the ear piece, but if i activate the speaker, or connect a headphone then i am able to hear the calls, about two weeks ago i tried updating the rom with the official one that was released early this year, and it did help for a while, then the sound died again ; and remembered i saw this forum a while ago, so i was looking at the roms and installed the one for WM 6.1 from Dr Gonzo, and yet again, it worked for about two calls and the sound died again; anyone have any idea if it is a sotfware problem or a hardware problem or how to fix it? thanks

It sounds like it could be a hardware problem as my Vox has not had any problems with sound using the original HTC ROM that shipped with my Vox, the official HTC WM6 update, Dr. Gonzo's New Guava WM6 ROMS or his WM6.1 ROM.

Hi,
I got the XDA Diamond Pro (Touch Pro O2 germany) yesterday.
During a call, the phone generates a terrible, slightly timeshifted echo of the own voice. The voice of the other person is normal and the other person doesnt hear an echo. I have tried it several times with different persons and networks (mobile + landline)...always the same phenomenon...sometimes more or less.
Is this normal with the Touch Pro? Do you also have this echo while making a call?
regards
10mabo
(sorry, my english is probably not the best)
Nobody with the same problem? Are your Touch Pros without echos?
No prob for me. Never heard something similar. What about your signal strength? Do you have good reception?
No problem here aswell.
tried a hard-reset already? I noticed that my TP worked better after I did a hard-reset (more stable and quicker), dunno why though.
Thank you for the replys!
So it seems that my device is not working properly :-(
It´s already on the way back to the provider.
regards
Holy crap! I just got another exchanged fuze and it's having the same issue. I'll try flashing to a new rom and see if that works.
When I first got the phone I noticed that my voice would echo but it stopped happening on its own. I think it was occurring because of bad reception. At that time my phone was having major problems with the data connection also and I figured it had something to do with ATT's towers.
I have experienced this echo, too, but considered it to come from reception problems as it does not happen on a regular basis. I.e. some calls are experiencing this echo, some do not.

I assume you mean flashing another radio rom, right? I have this issue on my Fuze as well. I flashed to NATF's rom, but am still running the stock radio rom that came with my phone: 1.02.25.32.
Did a different radio rom help you??

I changed my radio to 1.08.25.20, but I still have the echo. Do you think this is a hardware or software issue? Thanks!

I had the same problem I think with mine. It went away after a while when I was using NATF v2.2 but then when I flashed to v2.3 it came back. This was because the incall volume went down. So increase the volume when you're in a call and that should fix it.
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but the same thing has happened to me with both the Fuze and the Tilt. What I think the issue was though was that there was a slight lag between the time I said something and the time the sound came out of the earpiece on the other phone. The other phone's mic would pickup the sound of my voice and send it back to me. Very annoying. The problem was always solved when the person I was talking to switched to headset.
Same issue
I am experiencing the same issue, but it does seem to come and go depending on the in-call volume settings.
Obviously, no problems on speakerphone, which I use frequently.

Stock Radio, Stock Rom, no bloat
I just switched away from NATF v2.3 to aruppenthal's ver2 final ROM and the echo has cleared up! Thought I'd share in case others want to try...
I have a very low volume voice during calls. the volume of the phone is 100% but still you can't hear anything in public places.
I'm now using the speaker during calls...any help?
I've got the same problem does anone know what can I do??
I had this problem try this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429436
But using that method gives distortion to the sound, I am also having issues hearing who I´m talking with but it MUST be fixed by HTC either through update or getting a new device when they fix the problem.
But AudioPara3.zip has a bug
New AudioPara3.zip indeed turn the volume louder, but has a bug: the receiving call phone ring doesn't stop when turn Touch Pro face down as the original AudioPara3.zip does and the specifications annouce.
May be it's possible to contact the author of new AudioPara3.zip, I don´t know who is, and ask him to correct the bug.
Thanks very much.

Does it produce distortion with that program?
Although I love my TP I'm almost at the stage where I'm going to get rid of it....the volume during calls is pathetic..and despite all it's other features..it is afterall, supposed to be a phone. And if I can't use it for calls then it has just about no use to me.
I really fail to understand what these manafacturers do when they are testing a new device before its launch. Omission of such a basic problem only reflects as a disgrace to HTC. Hope this will be corrected through a ROM update. I have a diamond and I was seriously considering an upgrade to the Touch Pro. Now I will wait if and when this problem is corrected.
I can only sympthasize with those who own this device and are suffering the ignorance of HTc.
Regards
I'm not sure a ROM upgrade wil be able to do anything as from all the reading I've done, it's a hardware problem.
I've just spent an hour or so looking for alternative phones and sadly there's nothing that I would feel happy about buying...and nothing coming in the near future either...or does anyone know of anything?
The TP was for me the ultimate purchase, everything about it was perfect....until I discoverd I couldn't hear anyone on the phone!!

You hope in vain.. I will quote:
"[..]However I can also see that these issues do not effect everyone, we have had a lot of good feedback regarding this device[..]"
So yes, HTC thinks that touch pro is close to perfection.
What should you all do? Contact and tell them about those problems, tell them that's a GENERAL ISSUE NOT A ONE DEVICE SPECIFIC ISSUE.

Hello guys, let me start by saying im a total noob when it comes to the ppc
I recently purchased a HTC Magician to use as a work phone, i use a bluetooth headset a lot so it was a good option for a work phone. After i purchased it i decided to install the latest rom by Cotulla, rom HTCMAG_ROM_WWE_O4. It looks great, i like it alot, but the only problem i have is that i cant use my bluetooth headset reliably.
Its connected ok and does not drop out, but the problem is i cant hear people properly through the bluetooth headset, and im told they cant hear me either, its possible to hear that someone is speaking but not possible to understand what is being said.
After sifting through the threads here for days in the hope to find a solution, i could not find one and decided it might be wiser to just go back to wm 2003 se, which i hope has no problems with the bluetooth headset. Unfortunatly ive hit a brick wall with this option aswell, as it would seem all the threads ive looked at seem to point to links that are no longer available. So this leaves me with a phone that isnt able to be used for what i wanted it for
As i said at the start, i am a noob here so if im missing something here that i could do to solve this problem, could someone please point me in the right direction ?
Your headset is OK????
Hi!
I also use Cotullas latest ROM and i am also using my BT Headset without any problems and no "secret" settings.
Did you check your headset with a different phone? Maybe that´s the problem!
Cheers
Lui
Yea i used the bt hs on a dopod 838 pro, when i got the magician, i switched it from my dopod to the magician so i could use it for work. So i know the bt hs isnt causing the problem. And as ive seen some posts here about issues with bt and the Cotullas roms as being known problems, i naturally assume its the rom. But if its something else, then im all ears.
Just wont to get it working so i can use the phone with the bt hs.
As the imate site is down, and it sounds like imate might be going out of business due to some fraud problems. I cant seem to locate a rom with wm 2003 se, so i can try it to confirm if its the Cotulla rom, or something else.
Well im now trying t-mobile wm 2003 se, and so far the bt hs seems to be working great.
Hi All,
KIndly excuse and help me. Did try searching the forum for a similar problem and could not get . Dropped my HTC HD2 and could get replace touch/screen today. Everything is working fine.
1.The issue am facing is Receiver is able to hear me while talking but I am not able to hear anything . Strange is when on Bluetooth and Speaker on am able to hear the receiver.
2.Auto rotate does not seems to work.
Request you to please advise if there is something can be done I am using this device and not interested to forgo .
Had another visit to the person who fixed he says there are no issues with speaker or connector. There should be an issue with board or something.
Should I flash the ROM when we do a replacement this is what I could sense from some posts but not directly related to this issues
Please respond. My current ROM is in my signature
