Hi boys and girls,
I was very exited when I bought my 4G min SD ( Mini SDHC) to use with my HP IPAQ 6515 but didn't want to work and the IPAQ doesn't even detected it.
Even when I tried it in my laptop using the SD adpater come with it, the laptop didn't detect the mini SD.
Is the mini SD faulty or is there any fix for it.
I appricaite any help

How can I use my 8 GB SDHC card with my HP IPAQ 2490 B with windows mobile 5
When I just insert the card in my HP won't recognize my card
Unfortunately it isn't supported. I think it takes a max of 4gb. Sorry
Unlike CompactFlash memory cards, which feature integrated hardware controllers within the card itself, SD and SDHC cards depend on the card reader for hardware control. Because the faster and higher capacity SDHC cards require updated controllers, current SD card readers aren't able to use them. I recomend you to buy an SD/SHC to CF II adapter an then insert you SDHC in it, as it is indicated in the following link: http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/...20505-8gig-sdhc-working-dell-axim-x50v-2.html. The price of car adpater in eBay is $15. I hope to have helped.

I have 8GB class 4 SD card from my old N85 that I'd like to use in my Desire. But Desire can't recognize it at all, it's like it isn't there. I tried to format it within Nokia from windows (in fat32) and from Nokia itself. It seems that Nokia creates some files on SD as soon as format is finished. Could that be the problem and is there a way to fix it?
Hi, im using the same 8gb as well, no problem at all. Can you read and write with a computer?
So do i, i switched my Desire's 4GB Classe 2 with my Nokia 5800 8GB Classe 4 with no problem.
Just put my Nokia on my computer, format as Fat32 and it worked.
some info first:
- have a Samsung B7610, also known as Omnia. Custom ROM on it, don't know a name or something anymore due to the fact I flashed it on a long time ago. OS is Windows Mobile 6.5.
- in the Samsung a micro-sd card of 8 Gb
- and a Asus TF101, more know as the Transformer
- for those interested: laptop is a HP 6730b. Came with Vista, installed W7 Ultimate 64-bit on it.
A while ago I lost the connection cable of my Samsung Omnia, and since the price for such a stupid cable is €5 or €6, I still don't have a new cable. (Dutchman eh )
Now I want to root my Transformer, described at AndroidRoot.mobi, but you need to have a SD-card plugged in the Transformer. Thing is, the Transformer doesn't pick up the SD-card. I tried formatting the SD-card in the Omnia, but that also doesn't work. My laptop doesn't have a micro-sd slot, so Im currently a bit out of options.
My laptop also doesn't recognize the sd-card while it is in the Transformer.
Im currently on vacation, and I really don't have a clue where I could buy a connection cable for my Omnia.
The SD-card works in the Omnia btw.
It's a complete book I typed, but it comes down to one question: anybody has an idea how I could format the sd card? (a)
